About: I am my friends and family’s go-to pet sitter for both cats and dogs! I’ve been independently pet sitting for them for over 10 years. I work from a quiet pet-free home and I’m around all day! I just lost my 16 year old golden retriever, so he provided me with dog experience from the puppy stage all the way to some pretty intense senior care the last few years of his life. I work from home in a quiet apartment so I’m available all day every day! I spend a lot of time at home with the exception of going to the gym most evenings for about 1.5 hours, and I go for a few daily walks. I live in an apartment that has access to a dog park/yard if your pup is social, or multiple paved walking routes if otherwise. I go for long walks daily so if they need that, it’s part of my routine anyway!

Emily put Sugar’s collar on in addition to her harness in case she somehow got loose, which showed me she was thinking ahead and treating Sugar like one of her own. Before I left, Emily carefully introduced Sugar to the other dogs and made sure everyone got along and that Sugar was comfortable. That gave me tremendous peace of mind. I felt completely comfortable leaving my girl in her care, and it was obvious Sugar was well loved and well cared for while we were away. My American Bulldog and I walk off-leash through downtown Nashville daily — strangers stop to compliment his manners. “If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I’m new to Nashville and finding Rakya was such a blessing! My baby is an old lady so it’s been a task finding someone that gives her the same loving that she gets at home but my baby had a TIME during her stay. She was just as happy and seemed at home with Rakya and that just shows how much of an amazing environment that was created. 10/10 would recommend and am definitely booking again!”
