Emily put Sugar’s collar on in addition to her harness in case she somehow got loose, which showed me she was thinking ahead and treating Sugar like one of her own. Before I left, Emily carefully introduced Sugar to the other dogs and made sure everyone got along and that Sugar was comfortable. That gave me tremendous peace of mind. I felt completely comfortable leaving my girl in her care, and it was obvious Sugar was well loved and well cared for while we were away. About: I have worked with animals for the past 19 years. I obtained my bachelor’s degree in animal science and have worked with many different species from young to old. My work experience ranges from general practice and emergency room veterinarian clinics, an animal shelter to the Knoxville zoo, and 7 years in animal agriculture. My love for all animals runs deep and through my experience I am able to administer medications, perform CPR, and just understand animal behavior all together. I personally have had two dachshunds of my own from young rescues to 17 year old seniors. I currently work remote and have a very flexible schedule that allows me to accommodate any needs of an animal in my care. Daily walks are part of my routine regardless of the weather. I live in a home that has been converted into a duplex tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. I have a balcony allowing for outside access for bird watching or just plain old barking. I have a large backyard but not fenced. Dog beds in every room. Every animal in my care is like family meaning no couch or bed is off limits. I often plan my daily outings to allow for my animals to come with me or spend limited time alone.

Having grown up on a ranch, she has a wealth of information about animals. This proved extremely helpful because at just over a year old, Dani is still a puppy. She conscientiously told us anything unusual that he did, e.g. yesterday he surreptitiously ate a small rock, typical puppy behavior. She came back everyday with stories of Dani’s antics (he loves to chase dragon flies!), showing how she lets animals into her heart. Keegan is extraordinary. We hate to see her go back to college in OK. We and Dani look forward to more walks when she comes home from school at the holidays!”
About: I love dogs!!! I’ve been a dog mom to Rocco, my senior rescue, for 5 years now. He is the sweetest, most affectionate, most social baby on the planet :) Being a dog mom has been the greatest joy of my life. We started Rover dog sitting in 2023, and we absolutely LOVE it!!! About: My pup recently passed so looking for some new friends to shower with my love and affection. In addition to my dog, I’ve always enjoyed watching friends’ pets when they’re traveling, but now that I don’t have any pets in my own house, figured I would look beyond my friends for some opportunities. I work remotely, so my schedule is really flexible for drop ins or spending time over at your house. Whatever your needs are, I can probably make them work. Every pet has unique needs! With cats, I take a gentler approach. With dogs, I let them sniff and then shower them with cuddles and playtime! And on walks, I am happy to walk them for as long as needed. I recognize that some dogs need a lot of exercise or stimulation, and with my active lifestyle it’s nothing I can’t handle.
