About: I have had cats all of my life, including starys that I adopted, and all have lived long, healthy lives. I am able to administer medications and even did shots for a diabetic cat. I don’t mind changing litter boxes and have a good system for my own cats so they always have a clean litter box. I often house & cat sit for my sister, who travels a lot. She usually has 2-5 indoor cats and also cares for several outdoor stary cats. She often finds them homes too. Her cats usually have different food needs and feeding schedules so I know how to separate cats who need different care. I don’t mind clipping nails, except one of my sister’s cats who won’t have it. I know how to transport cats and work with "difficult cats”. I produced several “Pet Care” series for HGTV, the DIY Network and TNN television shows, working with experts and veterinarians, including Dr. Craig Prior, owner of the Murphy Road Animal Hospital and a very popular vet in Nashville. He was also my personal vet for both my dogs and cats. I am retired so am available for any days and times. About: I have worked with animals for the past 19 years. I obtained my bachelor’s degree in animal science and have worked with many different species from young to old. My work experience ranges from general practice and emergency room veterinarian clinics, an animal shelter to the Knoxville zoo, and 7 years in animal agriculture. “Emily took wonderful care of my fur baby, Sugar, while we were visiting Nashville. She has a large fenced yard where the dogs can play, and I appreciated the extra safety measures she took. Emily put Sugar’s collar on in addition to her harness in case she somehow got loose, which showed me she was thinking ahead and treating Sugar like one of her own. Before I left, Emily carefully introduced Sugar to the other dogs and made sure everyone got along and that Sugar was comfortable. That gave me tremendous peace of mind. I felt completely comfortable leaving my girl in her care, and it was obvious Sugar was well loved and well cared for while we were away. About: I am kind, caring and affectionate and I will respect your rules. I have been a pet owner for over 25 years. I have also been involved in caring for and rescuing many pets over the years. This has been my great joy. My home is pet friendly and pet safe. I enjoy sending my clients pics of their pets during their stay. Providing secure accommodations and a fun place to stay is paramount. This is my absolute purpose, goal, and pleasure. Pet sitting is my only job. I am home all day. With your approval, your dogs will be free to enjoy inside or outside. I have a secure privacy fence and a pet door for easy access. Of course, if you prefer a more regimented potty break schedule and time outside, I am happy to oblige. I allow dogs to make themselves at home. Sitting on furniture is A-okay. (as long as you approve.) I will certainly respect your rules. I like our dog visitors to be comfortable, feeling safe and welcome. I have a ChiWeenie; who sleeps A LOT and keeps to herself mostly; however, she is friendly. I also have a very friendly and playful Jack Russell/Beagle mix who enjoys company. My yard is secure and fun. We also have patio furniture they can lounge on. I keep our upstairs access gated. Of course, I will follow your instruction in regard to their sleeping. I am happy to do a “meet and greet” prior to your scheduling.
“Margaret provided a safe and very quiet space for our anxious pup, Rio, while we explored Nashville on our cross country trip. We travel a lot, and Rio has been in a lot of Rover homes. Margaret’s setup was one of the better ones we’ve visited, and she had a good rapport with Rio. He slept for much of the day, which he doesn’t always do at Rover. That means he felt safe, secure, and at peace. We will book again the next time we’re in Nashville!”

About: We both grew up with pets and have long volunteered with animals, including dogs, cats, and small animals. We have a 4.5-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a 5-year-old, 7 lb Chihuahua/Min Pin mix, who both love other pups. We also have two cats, Beans and Whiskers, who usually keep to themselves. We're experienced administering medicine, working with shy pets and overly energetic ones, and giving all of the best scratches! At least one of us works from home each day, so your pet will have company all day, plus plenty of time to play in our securely fenced yard. For dropping in, I work from home and have flexible work breaks, so I am available to care for pets near lunch time, after the work day is over, and during weekends! About: I love dogs!!! I’ve been a dog mom to Rocco, my senior rescue, for 5 years now. He is the sweetest, most affectionate, most social baby on the planet :) Being a dog mom has been the greatest joy of my life. We started Rover dog sitting in 2023, and we absolutely LOVE it!!! I’m home pretty much all day so I’m available most of the time to be with your dog. I sometimes check on other dogs and cats in the neighborhood, I might be gone for 30-60 mins. I do have a senior dog, he is pretty low energy at this point. So if you have a dog that can match his energy, and wants to couch snuggle with us, then this will be a great fit for you! My intention for caring for dogs is peace, harmony, safety, and love :) We take multiple dogs at a time, so if this is comfortable for you then yay! We’re looking to care for calm, quiet, peaceful, properly socialized, and well-behaved dogs :) We prefer dogs above 2 years old :) Drop-off times are between 7:30am and 8pm. Pick-up times are between 8:30am and 10pm. Thank you for understanding! I can also do pickups and drop offs if needed! I know how important it is that your pup feel loved, safe, and comfortable while their parents are away. I am ready and able to give that to them. I also have a small, fenced-in backyard. Rocco and I walk twice a day so I’ll be sure to bring your dog with us! Beyond that though, we are a pretty low energy house :) I am a big believer in healing our pet’s trauma and anxiety so that they can feel better and relax. About: I’m an East Nashville local with experience walking and caring for dogs and animals of all kinds since I was a kid. I grew up with three yellow labs and a pug and started officially pet sitting at the age of 13. Since moving to Nashville in 2020, I’ve volunteered weekly at local rescue Bonaparte’s Retreat, where I’ve gotten experience caring for older dogs and dogs with behavioral and health issues.
