About: To comfort any animal brings comfort to myself. I have experience with all kinds of pets and love all animals but cats are what you’d find in my home. It’s a common misconception that cats don’t require much attention but as a domesticated animal they thrive on human companionship while also having many natural instincts to accommodate. Some require more attention than others depending on their personality. One of the most important instincts to satisfy is the need to hunt/play. There are some automatic or interactive toys that work well but for the most part the best toy is something on the end of a string attached to a wand/rod and their human’s participation. This way you can mimic the evasive movements of an actual prey for your cat to hunt. This provides exercise and stimulation and I would be happy to play with your cat(s) I’m very good at befriending anxious or less trusting cats and identifying the things that exacerbate their anxiety and finding solutions to comfort them. I also have experience administering medications. With a cat the easiest route of administration is a liquid solution mixed in with some wet food or treat or squirted into the back side of the mouth with an oral syringe. Giving a cat a pill can be more difficult but it can be done. I would wrap them in a towel or blanket, lubricate pill so it doesn’t stick to fingers or tongue, tilt head back and insert pill into back of the mouth, return head to level position and rub their throat and/or slightly blow on the nose to stimulate swallowing reflexes, then give them a treat and love them! When possible I scoop our 3 cats’ boxes after every use. I’m happy to clean and scoop your cat’s box(es) with the same vigilance. A clean litter box is one factor in ensuring a healthy and happy cat!

I do have a job working two days out of the week, but I have an amazing friend who works with me for pet care needed when I am working for the 16 hours a week. Let us help you by taking a little work and worry off your shoulders! I have 10+ acres ready for some exploring! I also have some outdoor toys to entertain the playful babies. I will do anything to ensure health and happiness for your pets even if it is merely sitting with them and providing company and love. I have experience with administering medication, dog walks, continuing a training regimen set by owner or introducing new behavioral solutions, caring for high anxiety animals with patience and gentleness. Also I have experience in caring for geriatric and special needs animals: diaper changing, getting pets in and out of wheelchairs, and care and cleaning for incontinence. I’m currently working Monday through Friday 6:00am to 2:00pm, I get an hour lunch from 11:00 to 12:00pm so I could check on animals during lunch and then of course be with them at all times outside of this work schedule, I’m off Saturday and Sunday. I will be offering all services except for boarding in my own home because present circumstances prevent me from doing so. If I sit for you in your home I will treat it with the utmost respect and abide by any and all guidelines you provide including cleaning up after any pet incident, bathing, playtime, etc.

Before moving to Chattanooga, I cared for the same family’s dog for over two years, building a strong bond with both the pup and the family. I’ve also worked as a nanny, where I was responsible not only for the children but also for their family dog—making sure they were walked, fed, and loved. I now have a puppy of my own, so I understand the daily needs, attention, and patience dogs require at every stage. I treat every pet like they’re part of the family! I work during the weekdays, but I’m fully available in the evenings and at night for walks, drop-ins, or overnight care. I’m also completely free on weekends. In my home, pets get a safe, clean, and cozy space with lots of love and attention. I stick to their usual routine as much as possible. About: I’ve had dogs since I was little both young, and older I’ve had them with disabilities I know it takes time and patience specially if a animal is not use to you I am going to school to become a veterinarian and would love if you would give me the chance to watch your fur babies!!
