About: I have taken care of dogs ever since I was 5 years old when I got my first puppy. Everyone in my family has 3+ dogs, so I have grown up taking care of dogs of all breeds and sizes. The smallest behind a teacup yorkie and the biggest being a full size golden doodle! I do my best to update my schedule as my availability changes, so if there are ever any changes, you will be the first to know. I work 8a-5p as a health outreach case manager here in Knoxville, but the job is very flexible with breaks and WFH availability. About: My family has fostered dogs for the past few years, and we’ve had at least one family dog since I was born. I pet sit for my neighbors and family friends often, both cats and dogs alike, and have experience caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities! On the daily I take care of my family dogs. I take them on morning walks, make sure they don’t eat each other’s food, and give them PLENTY of play time, pets, and loves! I’m also well-versed in caring for anxious dogs, as our medium-size dog is very nervous at most hours of the day. I don’t believe in using fear tactics to punish dogs, such as time-outs or spraying them with water. Instead, I promote positive behaviors by engaging with them happily and giving them treats (if permitted) when they do something they’re supposed to do! With my clients, I take pets on walks or do a scheduled play time for as long as is requested, and I make sure they’re comfortable and fed every time I visit! If overnight or all-day stay is needed for particularly clingy pets, I’m completely open to discussing hours for that, and will never leave a pet alone or push it away if it needs a person there!
About: I work at an ER and specialty medicine clinic so have truly seen it all with dogs of all ages. I work primarily on an internal medicine team and often pick up ER shifts. I have finished my first year of veterinary school and will continue to my second year in the fall, so have all sorts of knowledge about your dog(s)!
