About: To comfort any animal brings comfort to myself. I have experience with all kinds of pets and love all animals but cats are what you’d find in my home. It’s a common misconception that cats don’t require much attention but as a domesticated animal they thrive on human companionship while also having many natural instincts to accommodate. Some require more attention than others depending on their personality. One of the most important instincts to satisfy is the need to hunt/play. There are some automatic or interactive toys that work well but for the most part the best toy is something on the end of a string attached to a wand/rod and their human’s participation. This way you can mimic the evasive movements of an actual prey for your cat to hunt. This provides exercise and stimulation and I would be happy to play with your cat(s) I’m very good at befriending anxious or less trusting cats and identifying the things that exacerbate their anxiety and finding solutions to comfort them. I also have experience administering medications. With a cat the easiest route of administration is a liquid solution mixed in with some wet food or treat or squirted into the back side of the mouth with an oral syringe. Giving a cat a pill can be more difficult but it can be done. I would wrap them in a towel or blanket, lubricate pill so it doesn’t stick to fingers or tongue, tilt head back and insert pill into back of the mouth, return head to level position and rub their throat and/or slightly blow on the nose to stimulate swallowing reflexes, then give them a treat and love them! When possible I scoop our 3 cats’ boxes after every use. I’m happy to clean and scoop your cat’s box(es) with the same vigilance. A clean litter box is one factor in ensuring a healthy and happy cat!
About: I grew up on an acreage surrounded by animals—dogs, cats, chickens, bees, and just about everything in between! Caring for animals has been a normal part of my life for as long as I can remember, so I’m comfortable with different personalities, energy levels, and routines. I will take care of your pups like they are my own. I am retired therefore have availability most days and timesframes to come to your home to care for your pup/s. I have a chocolate lab names Rusty and two guinea pigs named Costello and Kota. I adore animals! I work a part time job and I am currently in college. Tuesdays and Thursdays I have classes from 9:30 am to 1:45 pm. I will be available from 6:00am - 8:00am and 2:30pm - 10:00pm on those days! Any other day of the week I am completely available. I am currently living in Ooltewah, while I wait for my veterinary license. I have lots of free time during the week to dedicate to caring for your pets! I treat every pet like family, making sure they feel safe, loved, and relaxed in their own home. During each visit, I’ll follow your pet’s normal routine for feeding, walks, playtime, and medications. I have clinical experience, so I’m also comfortable caring for senior pets, special needs pets, and administering medications if needed. You’ll receive regular updates and photos, and you can trust that your pet is in kind, capable hands every step of the way. My goal is to provide not just care, but comfort, attention, and peace of mind, for both you and your pet!
About: I've always been the neighbor to care for neighbors pets when they are out of town. I've owned various breeds of dogs for 42 years and cats for 40 years. I love animals! I can help with the needs of your bird as well. I love overnights. Being retired, my schedule is flexible just let me know when you need me! The schedule is flexible I try not to work with animals after 10pm I can board pets in my home or yours. Wherever the pet is more comfortable. Pets are more "relaxed" in their own homes, but mine is available.
