“Jeanie was awesome to work with! She took our dog, Penny, on short notice. She was very engaging with us and responded to all of our questions in a timely manner. She made us feel very comfortable leaving Penny with her for the week. She continually updated us with pictures and short commentary about Penny’s stay. We could tell through the updates that Penny was enjoying herself. Penny is usually very reserved around strangers but she took to Jeanie very quickly. We would not hesitate to bring Penny back!”

“Luna has a great time and Caillynn kept me updated and shared photos. This was my first experience leaving Luna and it all went very well. Definitely will use her again.”

“Jessica loved on our fur babies like they were her own. We were in a bind moving from across the country and needed help fast. She gladly took in our goldens and treated them like they were own. This is a vacation for your dogs! I think they would have been fine staying forever;) She will now be our go to dog sitter!”
“Kristy was a god send to our situation. She is so kind and cares deeply about you and your pet. I was a little stressed having a baby on the way and no one nearby to watch our Pepper. I reached out to Kristy about it, because you never know when baby will be coming so it is hard to plan but she was willing to work with us and be open. We even had a trial run prior and she sent pictures and updates to makes us feel at ease with the process. She herself has an adorable dog who seems to get along with all the others. Kristy even told me about all of her regulars, their personalities, etc. She has a big couch that I know Pepper loved to be on and a high fenced in yard that I didn't need to worry she would escape from. When it came to the big day, Kristy dropped what she was doing (I say this bc of the unknown date of it all) to come pick up Pepper and even brought her back when we got home. I would highly recommend her for anyone who wants your dog to feel loved and taken care of while you are away. We will definitely be using her again when needed in the future. Thank you for everything ❤️”

“Lanelle was awesome she kept me constantly updated with my dog in terms of playfulness, walks, temperament and etc. I would definitely come back in the future, and I highly recommend!!!”

“Duke and I had the best experience with this wonderful family. They sent me photos or videos every day, walked him daily and you could just tell he was very welcomed. This was a very clean safe environment and Duke was immensely happy.”

“Maggie was so comfortable staying with Paul and his family. Highly recommend! We appreciate them loving on her so much, communicating regularly, and being attentive. Will definitely utilize them again.”

“I can’t say enough good things about Kayla. Gunner gets separation anxiety but had no issues this time while we were gone for a week and half. She took great care of him, sent adorable photo updates, and brought him home cleaner than we sent him!”

“Hannah is very sweet and communicative and her dogs are just as nice. I’m sure my dog and his puppy energy was a pain in the butt but if he was they didn’t let on and the photos they sent showed them getting along perfectly. I would highly recommend Hannah.”

About: We’ve both had cats in the past and are comfortable with the basics of cat care, including feeding, fresh water, litter box cleaning, playtime, and giving them plenty of space when they want it. It has been a few years since we’ve personally had cats, so dogs are definitely where most of our recent experience is. That said, we’re happy to follow your cat’s normal routine and instructions to help them feel safe and comfortable while you’re away.

“Beverly dropped in to feed our 3 Golden retrievers. She was eager to help on short notice which made our lives so much easier. She cooked some chicken for them, fed them according to their specific dietary needs and sent detailed feedback on how dinner went. I can definitely recommend Beverly for drop in visits to help give you peace of mind. Thanks Beverly for being so communicative and for sending a pic of Ben having dinner!”
“I was trying to find the best sitter for my 2 cats while I was on vacation. After scrolling thru Rover's listing, I came across Angela and I knew she was the perfect person for the job. She sent me updates and photos each time she checked in on them so I knew they were doing well. She also interacted with me the entire time so if I had a question or concern outside of her checking on my cats, she promptly replied. She was on top of everything, making the entire experience seamless. Angela, thanks again for taking SUCH care of my cats. As soon as I book my next vacation, you'll be the first person I contact.”

“Cassandra was absolutely wonderful with my kitty! She was so patient with my shy girl, sent pictures and videos every day, and took amazing care of her. I 10/10 recommend her for pet care!!”

About: Over my many years of being a cat lady, I have owned 6 cats in total which I cared for daily. I currently have three cats of my own, for which I take pride in providing excellent care for. “Naomi provided our family with wonderful service and, more importantly with peace of mind. We have 2 geriatric cats, one of whom is not well, and a 7 year old who can be a handful. None of the 3 has been alone for a protracted period of time let alone been boarded. We are so thankful to have had Naomi take such good care of our fur babies. She left our home in great shape, and collected our mail and delivered packages which was icing on the cake. We highly recommend her and will seek her out if we go out of town again.”

About: Hi! My name is Rachel, and animals have always been one of the biggest passions in my life. For the past five years, I’ve been rescuing, rehabilitating, and fostering dogs, giving me extensive hands-on experience with dogs of all ages, breeds, and temperaments. I’m especially comfortable caring for medically complex pets and understand the importance of strict medication schedules, feeding times, and specialized diets. Whether your pet needs extra patience, routine, or medical attention, you can trust that I’ll treat them with the same level of care and dedication that I would my own. I also love taking dogs on walks, providing enrichment, and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Professionally, I work in hospice and memory care, where compassion, patience, and reliability are essential every day. While my work schedule doesn’t allow me to rescue and foster as much as I used to, pet sitting gives me the opportunity to continue doing what I love caring for animals and giving pet owners peace of mind. I know how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member, and I would be honored to provide them with loving, dependable care while you’re away. I am currently working night shift 7pm-7am but have Tuesday's Thursday's Saturday's and every other Sunday off! I would love to be able to come by and hangout with your furry friend during the day when needed and discussions on boarding on weekends are always welcome! Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine will always be my top priorities. I understand how important consistency is, so I’ll carefully follow your pet’s normal schedule, including feeding times, medication schedules, exercise, potty breaks, and any special instructions. With five years of experience rescuing, rehabilitating, and fostering dogs, I’m comfortable caring for pets with medical needs, behavioral challenges, and specialized diets. I provide a calm, loving environment where every pet is treated like family. I’ll also keep you updated with regular messages and photos so you can feel confident that your pet is safe, happy, and receiving the best possible care while you’re away.

“Cy Cy, my cat, is a bit skittish and this was the first time we left her with a sitter. We had only been in Gatlinburg for a few hours when Frances sent a couple of pics of Cy Cy. She was on her back sleeping, just like she does at home, so she evidently felt safe. I really appreciate her care and anytime I need a sitter she will be my first call.”

“Raven has been absolutely fabulous! She looked after our kitty Sasha while we were gone and kept us updated. She’s a great communicator and lovely woman! Highly recommend and would 100% hire again.”

“You won't find a better family to care for your pups! I happened upon Nikki on this app and I feel like it was fate. Her husband, Mike, their kids and Nikki spent so much time and gave so much love to my Charlie. He is very needy and they were patient, found activities to keep him so happy and also gave him a new bestie. Nugget, their golden retriever, was instantly Charlie's pal. What a sweetheart! Charlie was in a rough spot with separation anxiety and acting very sad and exhausted. 3 days with this family perked him up and gave him new life! I am so thankful!”

“Caillynns place is perfect and she's taken great care of our dog. He loves it there. Big yard and plenty of space to run around, and a couple who takes great care of him. Highly recommend. Thank you!”

“10/10 would recommend Lindsey. My family is going through a major medical emergency, and knowing Lindsey is taking care of my fur babies is a huge weight off my shoulders. I never have to worry, and get the cutest picture updates. For the longest time my husband and I were hesitant to get a pet sitter for our 5 animals, but Lindsey completely changed our opinion. From the first meet and greet our animals loved her. If you’re looking for someone living and reliable, hire Lindsey.”
About: I am 31 and I have worked in retail at a pet store and doggy daycare for the past two years. I previously worked at another dog kennel, where I would take care of dogs in the best way possible! I walk, exercise, feed, medicate, clean, and occasionally bathe dogs! I love my job and I have experienced different breeds and all personality types. I have dealt with senior dogs who must be medicate at certain times, to the smallest puppy who must eat at certain times. I am reliable, responsible, and will care for your fur baby like my very own! I killed my cactus in about 3 days 😐 If you have plants to care for I will water them and make sure they get enough sunlight, but that hasn't worked so far, but I will do my best! I have certian availability and reliable transportation, as well as a love and passion for animal care. I am willing to travel to meet you and your fur baby. I follow your exact instructions when it comes to the care and needs of your pets. When it comes to your pet's safety, I work diligently to protect your fur baby and keep you at piece of mind!

(I have assisted in multiple birthings when I was little LOL) As a child, I was the neighborhood animal sitter. As an adult, I have pet sit with multiple animals, big and small. I truly have a love for animals and will always treat your animal as my own! I know when I go on vacations or out of town how stressful it can be to leave my animals. How stressful it can be to not know who will be able to take care of them and if they will be loved on while I’m away. I will always keep an open line of communication with you, send pictures to keep you in the loop and listen to the needs and wants you may have. Thank you for trusting me to care for your animals. Animals are family and I fully intend to treat them as my own! ALL dogs are required to be up to date on bordetella, hepatitis, rabies, distemper, parvo, and parainfluenza before booking. I will require proof of vaccines. ALL Cats and dogs are required to be on a monthly heartworm preventative and flea and tick medicine before booking. Please provide proof at booking. Lastly, if you are booking overnights in YOUR home.. please know my kiddos would be tagging along. They are extremely well behaved and will not harm anything. The only thing they will do is give your furry babies all kinds of extra lovin! If you are not comfortable with children being in your home(overnight) then I am unfortunately not the right fit for you. I look forward to meeting you and your pawsome friends🐾 I work full time, Monday- Friday typically 8-5. I do work away from home. I am able to do checkins, walks, or any other animal care before and after work. Weekends I have an open schedule! I am hoping one day, this will be my full time job with enough support and then I will be completely open! In my home, I do have 3 cats and 2 children. We all love animals! I do not have a fenced in yard. However, we do have a big yard for your animal to get exercise in or we can go for a walk around my neighborhood! If you bring your animal to my home, you are welcome to bring a crate or anything needed for your furry friends! I will only crate your animal at night if staying over night and during the day from typically 8-4 or 5 while I am at my full time job. At your home, I can do check ins and I will let your animal outside to use the bathroom, run around and play and get the brain stimulated for a few minutes. I can take your dog on a short walk, or long if needed. Play fetch. I can clean up puppy pads. Feed and water. Etc. whatever you may need, I can do. Just let me know the details. I will send you some pictures of your animals daily as a check in.
About: I’ve devoted my life to animals, my own, and caring for many friends' and family members’ pets through house sitting, walking, and feeding them. My love for animals runs deep, and I feel we share a mutual bond. My friend’s pets love me dearly as much as I love them. I've also assisted friends with end-of-life care for their pets, including a 21-year-old cat named Smokey in October. I’m experienced in addressing the specific needs of animals requiring extra attention and come highly recommended. I love to send pet updates and photos. I work part-time with special needs students at a school, giving me time to walk and care for your pets after work and on weekends too. I have a betta fish named Mothman I love. I live in a central location in Knoxville and can drive. I respect others' privacy and property, showing intention and care with all animals and pets. I can walk long distances and enjoy sharing my time with animals. I care very deeply and patiently for pets, loving them as much as their owners do. Routine is of importance.
About: Hi there! My boyfriend and I live in a pet-friendly apartment, and we’d love to welcome your furry friend into our home. I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life, and to me, pets are family—no exceptions. Caring for animals is my passion, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. Whether it’s playtime, belly rubs, or training sessions, I love spending quality time making sure they feel happy, safe, and loved. I also understand how to build trust with new pets, ensuring they feel comfortable and secure in my care. Their well-being is my top priority, so you can rest assured that your pet will receive the same love and attention as my own. I have two dogs who I adore taking on walks, and I honestly feel like it’s almost a crime to go to the park or beach without them! They get multiple walks throughout the day, and on weekends, we love going for hikes. During the weekdays, we visit local parks or dog parks for some fresh air and exercise. When caring for pets, I prioritize attention, activity, and comfort. For example, I recently boarded an energetic young dog overnight. After feeding him the food his owner provided, my boyfriend and I took him to the dog park, where he had a blast running around and socializing for an hour. Afterward, we walked him alongside my dog to help him settle in. At home, I made him a cozy bed in our room, played with him, and showered him with pets and attention to ease any anxiety about being away from his owners. By the end of the night, he insisted on sleeping in bed with us—exception granted! What You Can Expect: ✔️ Daily Walks & Exercise – All dogs go on multiple walks, and weekend stays include a dog park or hiking trip. ✔️ Plenty of Play & Attention – Whether your pet loves to play or just cuddle, I make sure they feel at home. ✔️ Feeding & Special Care – Pets are fed in the morning and around dinner time (or as per your instructions). ✔️ Safe & Comfortable Stay – Dogs are welcome to sleep in my room, but they’re free to find their own cozy spot. ✔️ Cat-Friendly Care – Cats can roam freely, receive fresh litter changes every 1-2 days, and even get a warm cloth bath if needed. I open my home to your pets as if it were their own—it’s always a joy to have them around! I’d love to learn more about your pet’s needs and personality. Let’s chat! I work from home, which gives me a flexible schedule to provide plenty of attention and care for pets. My beagle gets regular walks throughout the day, ensuring plenty of exercise and fresh air. On weekends, we love going on hikes or visiting the park for extra adventure and playtime. With my flexible routine, I can easily accommodate your pet’s needs, whether that means scheduled walks, play sessions, or extra cuddle time! Pets in my home are treated like family. My dog, Knox, spends his days napping in his favorite spot, chewing on a bone, or playing hide-and-seek with me. Our apartment is calm and quiet, making it a comfortable space for pets to relax. When Knox isn’t resting, we’re out on walks or enjoying some playtime. Your pet will be cared for with the same love and attention, ensuring they feel safe and at home!
About: I have taken care of and had dogs of my own my entire life. I am now 30 with of course a dog of my own and kiddos that also love dogs! We had fostered a friends dog until he was able to get onto his feet. Depending on the weather we love to go for walks, car rides, and of course lowes. I'm currently working part time and now more than ever it slows down to 2 days of work for me. I do have a younger son and we would love to play with your dog. Any size is welcomed. We do have a dog of our own and plenty of space to run around and play inside. I have plenty of space and a friendly dog that would love to keep your pup entertained. We do not have much of a yard but we do enjoy going for walks. I am a CNA and love to help people and of course animals as well. Anything I can do to make your pet feel comfortable and at home while your away is what I will do.

About: I've had both cats and dogs my whole life and I have been boarding and walking dogs through River for about three years now!

“We were so nervous as this was our first time leaving our Sushi dog overnight with anyone. Stephanie was wonderful! She sent us updates and pictures and just really eased our minds. We will definitely be returning to Stephanie for our future needs!”

“Andrew was great and took good care of my boy Leroy. His dog Jeff is a sweetie and I would definitely book with Andrew again so Leroy has both a human and canine companion he likes while I’m away!”

“Duke and I had the best experience with this wonderful family. They sent me photos or videos every day, walked him daily and you could just tell he was very welcomed. This was a very clean safe environment and Duke was immensely happy.”

“Always a pleasure leaving Jake with Lauryn and Kadabra. They really get along and I constantly get updates on him throughout his stay. I will most certainly be a repeat customer. Thank you!!”

“Very responsive and proactive with sending pictures/walking Stanley to give us peace of mind. Very thankful and appreciative of Joseph’s help. Our dog seemed very comfortable and happy with his care!”

“Our Barton boy enjoyed every second of being there!! We received picture and video updates the whole time away and could really feel the love they poured into him. You can tell he misses his new friends so much already! 🖤”

“Allyson and Tyler treated my Maddie girl like a member of their family!! They sent updates on her days and pictures! I highly recommend them for your dog sitting needs!”

“Jenny was great! Our dog was able to play with others during her stay and run around in Jenny’s nice yard. Jenny sent pictures every day and we felt very comfortable with her watching our dog.”

“Trey has been amazing 10/10 !! We went on our honeymoon for 20 days and he took amazing care of our pup the whole time. The day of pick up we had a flight delay and ran into traffic and he was so nice and accommodating to our crazy travel day. We loved that he sent pictures and updates of our pup, as well as played with him in the yard and showed him love !”

“Jordyn and Mark are the best! They are so accommodating and have great communication! My pup gets so excited as soon as I pull into their driveway, so I know that they are in great hands!! Thanks again for watching Ginger and Peppy!”

“Karson was great, she’s communicative and clearly loves animals. She took great care of our dog and cat while we were out of town for almost two weeks, she sent us updates often and checked in with any clarifications she had about their care. We’ll definitely be back!”

“A phenomenal puppy caretaker! This was the first time using Rover & I will definitely use her services when I’m in town again. She kept us updated with the most beautiful, fun filled pics and assisted me in helping get Coco back on track with her feedings and toileting regimen ?”

“Alex and Alexis were wonderful! Cheddar is normally very shy and nervous around new people but he warmed right up to both of them and had a great week with them!! I am so thankful for Alex and Alexis both and would definitely recommend them to anyone!”
