About: Dogs have always been a big part of my life! I grew up, always having at least two dogs in the house, so I’m very comfortable caring for dogs with different personalities, energy levels, and routines. I’ve also dog sat on many occasions for family members and friends, whether it was for a day or a whole weekend. I’m comfortable with feeding schedules, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and of course, plenty of attention and cuddles! I understand the importance of needing someone you trust to care for your pets and you can trust me to treat your dogs like they’re my own :) I typically work three 12-hour shifts in a row which leaves me with several days off to spend with your pets during the week! This provides me with plenty of time to make sure your pets get the attention, exercise, and companionship they need rather than being left alone for long periods. You can trust that your dog can feel safe and comfortable at my home in my care. I have a fenced in yard where dogs can safely get outside for potty breaks and playtime, along with access to nearby parks and walking trails for plenty of exercise and exploring. I also have toys and treats available to make their stay extra fun. When caring for pets in my own home, I’m happy to follow their normal routines as closely as possible, including feeding schedule, walks, potty breaks, playtime, and any specific instructions you provide. About: I'm an active gal who loves the companionship of a pooch while out and about. I love taking dogs on long walks or hikes through the woods or just down the city blocks for a quick leg stretch (and a bathroom stop). I'll be attentive to the needs of your dog, making sure they get plenty of activity, are well hydrated, and fed appropriately. While I don't have a dog of my own currently, I was a dog walker when I lived in New York City and I volunteered for two years with Border Paws Rescue in Rapid City caring for 5 - 10 pups for their pre-bedtime outings. About: 18 Acres of Fun! Besides working in the veterinary field as a certified veterinary assistant, I’ve had dogs and cats since I started walking back home in Puerto Rico. I was always rescuing all kinds of critters in the streets and finding them new homes. Big animals, small animals, shy animals, hyper animals, you name it! I've assisted anywhere from births to surgery, administered medications, vitals etc. Your furry friends are in good hands with me. I live on a ranch, so they’ll have plenty of space to run and play around while I also love taking them with me to explore the Black Hills trails. I’m currently dedicating my time to farm life while I wait for school to start in the fall, so I have all my time available to dedicate myself to your furry friends. I have a big farm of 18 acres with plenty of space to exercise your pups, also have enclosed areas available to offer them a safe and comfortable environment during their stay. I was in a pickle, was kind of last minute preparation for me ( I usually have everything written down, food bags prepared and labeled…) to leave home and have her watch my dog. He needs medication with his diet or he can’t digest what he eats, which was no issue with her. She sends pics and videos, and great communication, to help the ease of being separated from my best buddy and travel partner. She ‘speaks’ dog, reads and knows their energy. Late owner of Irish wolfhound (she was my 3rd and passed last year at 10yrs old) and many other breeds large and small. I have experience with domestic, exotics, aquatic, wild and farm animals. Located currently on a horse farm and I professionally boarded horses for over 28 yrs in Illinois. I am also a certified pharmacy tech, and am certified in Animal (pet and horse) First aid and CPR. I only take small breeds in home for boarding. Must be pet friendly to other small dogs. For outside/stop in care I can do any size and morning and night visits. We have a Fenced in yard with a doggie door and I am always watching them when they are outside. There are 6 foot tall fences as well for their safety.
