“My husband and I left our 3 dogs with Melissa for 4 days and she took great care of them! Our dogs had never stayed with a sitter before, so I was nervous to leave them, but she made the transition easy and they were more than comfortable at her home. One of our dogs is very anxious and tends to be fearful of new people, and even she settled in well and seemed content during her stay. Melissa also did a wonderful job caring for our senior dog and keeping up with her medication schedule, as well as handling our youngest dog who is still learning his manners. She kept us updated throughout the trip with daily photos and messages, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was clear that our dogs were being well cared for and getting plenty of attention. We came home to three happy pups and would absolutely book with Melissa again. Highly recommend!”

About: I have grown up with high energy dogs. My family has always had dogs since I was a child. We treat dogs like family. We don't currently have any pets. We had two black lab mix dogs for 15 years. I will feed and let the dogs out in the morning. Dogs will be fed again in the afternoon. Dogs will be housed in the dog kennel in the garage overnight. There is a doggy door for dogs to access the backyard during the day. They will be locked inside the kennel and doghouse area in the garage overnight. I have a fenced in yard. Dogs will stay in the kennel in the garage with free access to the backyard through the doggy door during the day. The doghouse in the garage is insulated with a heat lamp during the winter. The dogs will be played with and receive attention from myself three times per day. I will take the dogs on a walk around the neighborhood once per day.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and caged animals since I was little. I also worked at Petco grooming for a few years. We have 2 Chihuahuas of our own, 2 Sphynx and an Axolotl. My dog Ivy is very friendly, laid back, calm, and enjoys being around other dogs. She loves having another dog around to play with, relax beside, or explore with, and gets along great and is very respectful with other furry friends. 😊 I understand that trusting someone with your pet—and sometimes your home—is a big deal. You can expect reliability, clear communication, love for your pet, and respect for your space while you’re away. If I host multiple dogs, it’s only when all owners are comfortable with it and the dogs are a good fit. Otherwise, your pups will receive my full attention and care. About: I have grown up with dogs and cats my whole life and love them to death! I enjoy caring for animals or even just keeping them entertained while their humans are away! Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I work in healthcare, so I value responsibility, reliability, and keeping a consistent schedule. On my days off and outside of work hours, I have plenty of time to dedicate to pet sitting, drop-in visits, and walks.I’m happy to work with pet owners to find times that fit their pet’s routine and needs. Whether your pet needs a walk, playtime, feeding, or just some extra company, I make sure they get the attention and care they deserve. Safety and trust are very important to me when caring for someone’s pet. I always make sure to follow the pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any specific instructions the owner provides. I understand that every pet is different, so I take the time to learn their personality, comfort level, and any special needs they may have. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I treat their space with respect and make sure their pet feels safe and comfortable in their familiar environment. I pay close attention during walks, keep pets securely leashed when needed, and make sure doors and gates are always properly closed. I also believe communication is very important, so I am happy to send updates and photos to keep owners informed and give them peace of mind while they are away.
About: I love all animals but dogs have a special place in my heart. I grew up with two Schnoodles (schnauzer-poodles). I helped train one of them including potty training and tricks like sit, shake, roll-over, and spin. I hope to one day foster dogs who need homes. I also have experience caring for cats and birds. I just graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center nursing program. I will begin my career as a nurse in Sioux Falls starting in July! I will let you know what days and times I am available! When caring for pets, their well-being is my top priority. I do this by ensuring a safe and happy environment. About: I have been a pet owner my whole life and have been doing pet sitting for friends and family since I can remember. I seem to connect with pets better than a humans :😊 I have never met a pet I don’t love or love me back. Your furry family members will be in her best hands and ger a lot of love and attention when you are away. I work two part time jobs 9-1pm 4-8/9pm 5 days a week sometimes the days vary. I go to the gym 3-5 days a week I hang out with my little sister twice a week when my schedule allows. I am hoping to return to collage next fall for Vet Tech. “My husband and I left our 3 dogs with Melissa for 4 days and she took great care of them! Our dogs had never stayed with a sitter before, so I was nervous to leave them, but she made the transition easy and they were more than comfortable at her home. One of our dogs is very anxious and tends to be fearful of new people, and even she settled in well and seemed content during her stay. Melissa also did a wonderful job caring for our senior dog and keeping up with her medication schedule, as well as handling our youngest dog who is still learning his manners. She kept us updated throughout the trip with daily photos and messages, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was clear that our dogs were being well cared for and getting plenty of attention. We came home to three happy pups and would absolutely book with Melissa again. Highly recommend!”

About: I can’t get any more dogs right now, but I absolutely love animals. I grew up on a farm, so I’ve always been surrounded by them, and I really miss having that in my life. I currently have two small dogs who are very friendly and love playing with other dogs, and I have a big backyard for them to run around in. I just miss the companionship and joy that comes with being around animals every day. I work full-time, so my schedule is fairly consistent. I leave for work at 6:00 a.m., have a one-hour lunch break at noon, and I’m usually home by 4:00 p.m. Outside of work, I spend my time with my two small dogs, who are very friendly and love being around other dogs. I also have a large backyard where they can run and play. Even with my work schedule, I have plenty of time in the evenings and on weekends to care for and enjoy being around animals. I’d be happy to walk your dog if they enjoy going on walks, take them to the dog park for some exercise and socialization, play with them indoors or outside, and, of course, give them plenty of love and attention while you’re away. My goal is to make sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for, even when they’re missing their owner(s).
