“Our Louis is a 5-month old yorkiepoo, weighs 6 pounds, and has never stayed with anyone other than family. We were apprehensive about leaving him with non-family for 5 days while we cruised but did not have a choice. We searched Rover, chatted with a few people, found Nontombe and the end result is that we (and apparently Louis) completely adore Nontombe. Nontombe sent us videos and pictures and it was clear to see Louis was right at home with someone who loved on him and played with him. We were also worried about how Louis would get along with the other dogs being cared for but Nontombe outlined her plan to us to introduce Louis and what would happen if the dogs did not get along and the videos and pictures of Louis and the other dogs made us feel even more comfortable. It was also clear to us that Nontombe loves animals and is great with them. We recommend her for the care of your young and older fur babies and personally, we won’t use anyone else.”

So in case you have another animal as well as the dogs, I am totally and completely willing to watch and take care of them as well. I am very good with instructions on how to take care of them in a certain way if you please. I will show them so much love and compassion, I will snuggle with them, and play with them until they’re satisfied or have no more energy left. I always make sure they go outside for potty breaks every so often. I will always make sure they are fed enough and if so fed the amount the owner desires. About: Following the passing of our beloved 13 year old furbaby Zoe shortly after Christmas in 2024, my husband Kenny and I decided to honor her memory by offering dog boarding services in our home. We wanted to create a space where other dogs would receive the same love and care that Zoe did while their owners are traveling or away. Now that we are both retired and home full-time, we are able to provide a calm, comfortable, and loving environment for dogs, free from the stress often found in traditional kennels. Our home offers a peaceful setting where dogs receive individualized attention and care - no concrete kennels or constant barking, just a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. Both Kenny and I have had dogs throughout our lives, often with two or three dogs at a time, as we do now. We have always adopted rescue dogs and regularly foster, with the aim of giving dogs a better future and a loving home. We have never, ever regretted this commitment. Currently, our family includes two dogs and two cats, all of whom get along well, are low-key, and are deeply loved. We have ample space and resources to care for your dog (or dogs!) as well, and would be delighted to do so. Additionally, we are pleased and honored to offer very low cost long-term boarding for any military service members who are deploying and need assistance caring for their dogs while they are away. Although we do not have a fenced yard, we walk your dogs leashed. We have a very large 20'x30' detached game room that is our hangout space, and would be where the dogs played indoors and could bed down. We have smoke detectors and a monitored alarm system that covers the house and game room. We have an excellent Vet available in Newberry, as well as access to a visiting emergency Vet service here at the house. There are no children or aggressive dogs here.
About: Hello y’all! I am very experienced in training dogs and caring for dogs, cats, and most other animals. I have a lot of knowledge about dog and cat health, along with other animals (reptiles, birds, horses, etc.), and different breeds. My prior amazing pittie, Bo Peep, was deaf. Thus, I know ASL commands and signs from training her myself. So, I am able to work well with other deaf/hard-of-hearing animals. I’ve been lucky enough to have and/or care for all sorts of animals throughout my entire life, especially growing up as a feral child (haha) in Florida. I always tried to bring animals home (often to my mom’s dismay), and I’ve worked with various animals (e.g. birds of all sizes, reptiles, cats and dogs especially, horses, amphibians, fish, and some other farm animals). I have a fenced in backyard with to friendly english bulldogs. They love dogs and are very nice. Also I will go pretty much anywhere to a clients home and make sure the dog is okay.
About: I have taken care of dogs and all kinds of animals since I was a toddler. I am very reliable walking, feeding, bathing, any kind of care needed for your pet. I have plenty of time to spend with my clients pets. I will ensure they are well taken care of. I will be enduring walking, house-sitting, and caring for anyone’s pets the best I can. “Brianna is amazing! She goes above and beyond whilst taking care of your pets. My pet Samantha recently got out before Brianna was scheduled to walk Samantha. She immediately notified me that my puppy was out and after walking her made sure to lock her cage up properly to last until I got home! About: I’ve founded dog rescues and once owned 11 dogs and 4 cats! I will treat your fur baby as if it were my own. Professional and loving care always. Let me know their special needs and quirks and I will make them feel right at home! I work from home and have a lot of time in my hands. I have a well behaved toddler girl and she loves animals. I can dedicate my time to treating your little one to everything he or she needs to be absolutely comfortable. We love to go on walks multiple times a day and spend time indoors cuddling and playing! I live on a small farm with a lot of walkable areas and large back yard for potty breaks and play. There are dog parks in short walking distance and plenty of trails to walk. There even is a washing station in case there are mud incidents.

“Zac was WONDERFUL with Briggs, our 120 lb ALL BOY lab! We were traveling out of the country for 2 weeks and found Zac on Rover….my first time using this site! I was a bit nervous just because Briggs is very high strung and has NO idea how large he is! Zac was brilliant with him….extremely patient (especially with me as I unpacked his Briggs’ bag with his teddy bear and blanket🙄)!!! Zac sent regular updates and pictures. The fact that he trains retrievers and other large dogs was a plus for me. He was always very quick to respond and answered all my silly questions! I will DEFINITELY be using Zac’s services again! “Our Louis is a 5-month old yorkiepoo, weighs 6 pounds, and has never stayed with anyone other than family. We were apprehensive about leaving him with non-family for 5 days while we cruised but did not have a choice. We searched Rover, chatted with a few people, found Nontombe and the end result is that we (and apparently Louis) completely adore Nontombe. Nontombe sent us videos and pictures and it was clear to see Louis was right at home with someone who loved on him and played with him. We were also worried about how Louis would get along with the other dogs being cared for but Nontombe outlined her plan to us to introduce Louis and what would happen if the dogs did not get along and the videos and pictures of Louis and the other dogs made us feel even more comfortable. It was also clear to us that Nontombe loves animals and is great with them. We recommend her for the care of your young and older fur babies and personally, we won’t use anyone else.”
