We had to unexpectedly move up our reservation and ended up extending on the other end as well and she was happy and willing to make the adjustment last minute. We love that someone is home all day with Shadow (what he’s used to at our home) and Shadow gets along great with Dax. He comes home with a hangover from the fun he’s had! And is always a better listener to commands when he comes home as well. They also send great photos, Shadow always seems to be smiling or passed out from play and they are very responsive to questions. We will continue to use them in the future.”

I have put in volunteer hours at the local county fair within the barn, caring for and feeding the farm animals. I have also completed a trading course in farm animal care and veterinary medicine. About: I currently have two amazing dogs, Oslo and Annie. Oslo is a Labrador Pit Bull mix. I have taken care of him since he was a puppy. Annie is a Pit Bull mix. I got Annie when she was 2. Both dogs love to play out back in the fenced in yard. What sets me apart? I had a dog with 3 legs and he required special care. His name was Kal. I had a dog named Charlette. She was very overweight when I got her and I helped slim her down by adjusting her diet and walking. I got Charlette when she was old. I took care of her until she died of old age. I have taken care of dogs that were emotionally and physically abused by their previous owners and I have a huge heart for helping dogs through those awful situations. My current dog Annie is a classic example of a dog that can be an amazing companion even after emotional and physical abuse from a previous owner. I also volunteered at final victory through the doggy day out walking program. I participated in the Mardi Gras Parade with one of Final Victory dogs and I have volunteered at the Final Victory Campus to help with cleaning doggy bowls for all the dogs. I can work full time any day of the week. I am available for walking services or staying at the pets home for as many nights as needed. I do not offer boarding services at my home due to Annie still learning that other dogs are a safe space and mean no harm. I care for my pets by playing fetch, giving treats, playing tug of war with a rope, feeding, bathing, providing potty break, walking, and socializing with other dogs. I don't trim dogs nails.

About: I grew up in a farm when I was little. I would feed the cows and the chickens in the morning. At the age of 7 I had bunnies and would take care of them. At the age of 8 I had my own calf as my pet her mother died so I fed her milk in the mornings. At the age of 9 I moved in with my dad and I started my dog loving journey. About: I’ve been caring for animals since I was about eleven years old. Growing up, I always dreamed of becoming a veterinarian, and my love for animals led me to start volunteering at a local shelter when I was young. What began as a childhood dream quickly turned into a lifelong passion. Through years of volunteering and hands-on experience, I’ve had the opportunity to care for animals with different personalities, needs, and backgrounds. About: This summer, I spent significant time volunteering at the Terrebonne Parish Animal Shelter in Gray, Louisiana, logging over 50 hours to ease the load of staff while giving rescues the best possible quality of life. I gained hands-on experience handling dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. From taking high-energy dogs long walks and runs to managing bath times and following strict sanitation protocols, I treated every pet with shelter-grade care. A highlight of my time there was leading “Doggy Day Outs,” taking adoptable dogs on community adventures. In these new environments, I paid close attention to their reactions to learn their unique likes, dislikes, and personality traits. Reading their canine body language allowed me to adapt to their needs on the fly, keeping them safe and comfortable wherever we went. Crucially, working with shelter dogs also gave me deep experience with high-energy breeds, reactive dogs, and abused or frightened rescues who require gentle handling and trust-building. Although relocation meant stepping away from shelter work, I bring those same high standards of safety, patience, and individual attention to every pet I visit. I’m currently working nights as a PRN Mental Health Technician. I make my own schedule, so my availability is flexible nearly every day of the week! In-home care is built on safety, consistency, and mutual trust. My top priorities are maintaining your pet’s familiar routine, securing the environment, and treating your home with total respect. I make sure pets are never left alone for long stretches, giving them the frequent companionship, potty breaks, and attention they need. Upon arrival, I secure all doors and gates, greet the pet calmly, and follow your explicit instructions for feeding, exercise, and meds. I pay close attention to your pet’s body language, offering patient interaction for shy animals and active engagement for high energy ones. You’ll receive detailed updates and photos after every visit.
About: I have had pets my entire life! They have always been a huge part of who I am. Not only have I owned many animals, but I have taken care of friends and family's pets as well. I also have experience with pregnancies and newborn puppies. I have provided a few professional services in the past but most of my experience is on a personal level. I am excited to meet your pet/s and to provide my services to make your life easier and keep them happy while you are away! I look forward to becoming one of your fur baby's favorite people!! I am a part time preschool teacher and full time Mom with a 6 year old and a 13 year old but I will work with you to accommodate your needs/schedule the best I can. I am available all week and will work with you on times for drop-ins and/or dog walking. All rules/directions given by you will be followed to a tee. “Rachel watched Shadow for a second time recently. We had to unexpectedly move up our reservation and ended up extending on the other end as well and she was happy and willing to make the adjustment last minute. We love that someone is home all day with Shadow (what he’s used to at our home) and Shadow gets along great with Dax. He comes home with a hangover from the fun he’s had! And is always a better listener to commands when he comes home as well. They also send great photos, Shadow always seems to be smiling or passed out from play and they are very responsive to questions. We will continue to use them in the future.”
