About: Following the passing of our beloved 13 year old furbaby Zoe shortly after Christmas in 2024, my husband Kenny and I decided to honor her memory by offering dog boarding services in our home. We wanted to create a space where other dogs would receive the same love and care that Zoe did while their owners are traveling or away. Now that we are both retired and home full-time, we are able to provide a calm, comfortable, and loving environment for dogs, free from the stress often found in traditional kennels. Our home offers a peaceful setting where dogs receive individualized attention and care - no concrete kennels or constant barking, just a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. Both Kenny and I have had dogs throughout our lives, often with two or three dogs at a time, as we do now. We have always adopted rescue dogs and regularly foster, with the aim of giving dogs a better future and a loving home. We have never, ever regretted this commitment. Currently, our family includes two dogs and two cats, all of whom get along well, are low-key, and are deeply loved. We have ample space and resources to care for your dog (or dogs!) as well, and would be delighted to do so. Additionally, we are pleased and honored to offer very low cost long-term boarding for any military service members who are deploying and need assistance caring for their dogs while they are away. My husband and I are retired and have ample time and resources to provide exceptional care for your dog, just as we do for our own pets, as well as those of our friends and family. Although we do not have a fenced yard, we walk your dogs leashed. We live out in the country on a lake, in the middle of nowhere on our own private 2 acres, on a dead end cul-de-sac with no traffic at all. We have a very large 20'x30' detached game room that is our hangout space, and would be where the dogs played indoors and could bed down. We have smoke detectors and a monitored alarm system that covers the house and game room. We have an excellent Vet available in Newberry, as well as access to a visiting emergency Vet service here at the house. There are no children or aggressive dogs here.

About: I have had animals my whole life, never been able to live without at least 2. I love working with animals and their unique personalities. Every animal has their own quirks, and I would love to help care for your fur baby! I am available any days for boarding. Ruth and I go for a walk in the morning, in the evening, as well as playing out in the yard in between. We spend most of the night playing or lounging around the house. Ruth is typically crated at home, and I would prefer for your dog to have a crate as well so they have a space all to their own while staying with us. I have a large yard and a fence, and always monitor the dogs when outside. When interacting with any animal, I always make sure to be calm and gentle. I do my best to read animal body language and predict and prevent situations before they happen.

We live on 14 acres that are not fenced in. Your pets will be walked on a leash a least every two hours during the day. I have found that leash walking is the most effective way to ensure your pet will not escape. I will only give food, treats and medications that you send with your pet to ensure your pets health and safety. You may request a bath or nail trim at an additional cost which will be done on the day before you pick your pet up. You will be notified immediately if your pets begin to show any signs of illness, and I will personally take them to your Veterinary Clinic of choice if needed. I promise your pets will be in great hands!

About: I have had experience training and caring for dogs. I currently own 2 dogs, one small and a bigger one. I am the go to sitter for my family and I know enough to interact and communicate with these fun pets. Although the yard is very large, it is not fenced in but a huge playground for my two dogs. About: Ever since I was a child I have had a passion for taking care of animals: From fostering dogs as a child, getting my first job in a boarding facility, and 5 years as a veterinary technician. With my depth of experience from the veterinary field I can administer medication, provide care to those with special needs, and ensure a safe and healthy environment while providing love and affection. I work entirely from home and am available at all times of the day. I never would leave any dog unattended except for short periods, in which they would be safely crated. I take the utmost care to provide a safe and healthy environment for all pets including my own. I am meticulous in keeping our home clean, preventing any potential hazards of being in reach of animals, and ensuring there is clean water available at all times. At the same time, I want every guest to feel at home, and believe in animals having access to as much space as possible, feeling comfortable to sleep on the furniture and explore the house while supervised.

“Kathy took excellent care of our 2 dogs over the holiday weekend! They got lots of playtime and outside time, and they were both nice and tired by the time we picked them up! She sent a couple of pictures and a couple of updates. Just enough to let us know our dogs were doing well. One of my dogs is older with some arthritis, and she made sure he got all of his medicines and had a safe space to rest when he got tired out. Would definitely recommend!”
