About: I've taken care of many different pets in my life, however, none is more special to me personally than cats. I have a strong and intuitive bond w/ cats and I understand their unique and diverse personalities, as well as their diverse levels of care. I have a lot of knowledge about dog and cat health, along with other animals (reptiles, birds, horses, etc.), and different breeds. My prior amazing pittie, Bo Peep, was deaf. Thus, I know ASL commands and signs from training her myself. So, I am able to work well with other deaf/hard-of-hearing animals. About: I’ve grown up around all types of pets and absolutely love all animals! We’ve had an array of animals in our house growing up such as a German shepherd, parakeets, love birds, hamsters, gerbils, hermit crabs, and Jack Russell terriers! I now own three dogs! We have a super sweet labrador, a frenchie, and a boxer-pit mix. We love taking our big dogs on hikes and out to socialize any chance we get! Daily walks and outside time are a must for our pups and we love every minute of it. I have experience with IVDD and surgeries to follow with my French Bulldog. As a pet owner and lover I know the importance of making sure you have someone you trust with your animal babies! I’m transitioning from being in the classroom full time to substitute teaching once school starts back up. I am free for the summer and will have flexibility in my schedule, especially for afternoons and evenings. I take my own pups out for a walk at least twice a day morning and evening. They also have outside time at least 3-4 times a day for 20+ minutes. If you choose to have your pet board with us we have a full privacy fenced backyard. We also have crates and gated off rooms to separate pups in they need a break or some down time. Our neighborhood is very walkable and private with low traffic.

I even watched the doodle when she was just a few months old for about a week during a snow storm while her family was on vacation. They’re a handful but so much fun. “I appreciate Nick so much! I needed a pretty last-minute booking while traveling down to Columbia to visit family, and he accepted Mateo within just an hour or two. He took such great care of him and sent me pictures throughout his stay, which I really appreciated. Even within the first 10 minutes, I texted to check on Mateo, and Nick reassured me that he was doing great and that he was enjoying his company. His communication was amazing, and he really took the extra steps to make sure Mateo was comfortable and well taken care of. As someone with a reactive dog, I’m VERY particular about who I trust to watch him, so I’m really glad I found Nick. Anytime I’m traveling to Columbia and need someone to watch Mateo, Nick will definitely be my first choice!”

I work from home full-time, so your pet won't be left alone for long periods and will have plenty of companionship, supervision, and opportunities for potty breaks, playtime, and cuddles throughout the day. I take the time to learn each pet's routine, personality, and preferences so they feel comfortable and secure while you're away. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playing fetch, or simply relaxing nearby while I work, I'll make sure they receive the attention and care they deserve. I also know how important it is to stay connected while you're away. You'll receive regular updates, photos, and messages so you can relax knowing your pet is happy, safe, and in good hands. My goal is to make your pet's stay feel like a home away from home while giving you complete peace of mind. I work from home, so I'll be available all day to supervise and care for your pet. We'll enjoy playtime throughout the day, along with morning and evening walks, weather permitting. I have a fenced-in yard and a 6-year-old female American Staffy named Lilly. Lilly is very social and gets along great with other dogs and even cats.
“Kathy took excellent care of our 2 dogs over the holiday weekend! They got lots of playtime and outside time, and they were both nice and tired by the time we picked them up! She sent a couple of pictures and a couple of updates. Just enough to let us know our dogs were doing well. One of my dogs is older with some arthritis, and she made sure he got all of his medicines and had a safe space to rest when he got tired out. Would definitely recommend!”

“Zac was WONDERFUL with Briggs, our 120 lb ALL BOY lab! We were traveling out of the country for 2 weeks and found Zac on Rover….my first time using this site! I was a bit nervous just because Briggs is very high strung and has NO idea how large he is! Zac was brilliant with him….extremely patient (especially with me as I unpacked his Briggs’ bag with his teddy bear and blanket🙄)!!! Zac sent regular updates and pictures. The fact that he trains retrievers and other large dogs was a plus for me. He was always very quick to respond and answered all my silly questions! I will DEFINITELY be using Zac’s services again!
