Her previous experience as a vet tech gave us tremendous peace of mind—and ended up being especially important during his stay. Oliver decided he didn’t want to eat while we were gone, which can make managing his insulin tricky. She knew how to navigate the situation, kept a close eye on him, and even cooked chicken for him to try to entice him to eat. I was so grateful knowing he was with someone who understood his medical needs and truly cared about his well-being. She kept me updated throughout our trip, sent pictures, and let me know how he was doing, which allowed me to relax and enjoy being away without constantly worrying about him. Oliver was very well cared for, and I would absolutely trust her with him again. About: I've had over 20 years of pet care experience, ranging between several different dog breeds and sizes, cats, rodents, reptiles, and even some bird-sitting. I understand each pet is different in their own way, some needing certain medications or volumes of food and water, and other pets are easier to take care of, but their owners need someone last minute to help watch and take care of their beloved pets. I also know when it comes to more than one pet in the household, some pets can get rowdy with each other and may tend to hurt one other, so I'm used to cleaning up after and treating the occasional bites or scratches they inflict. Having to give medications, give special food, and even seeing blood or recent wounds on animals doesn't stop me from providing the care they need while their owners are away at work or vacation or whatever else life has thrown their way. I've been known to be a reliable petsitter by many friends and family members over the years, and I make sure to follow all needs and specifications for each pet, regardless of their age and their size. At the moment, I am available all day on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and then on Mondays and Wednesdays I am attending a class from 9:30 AM to 12:30 AM, which anytime before or afterwards I can help walk or watch over pets. While I do not currently offer petsitting at my own home due to my roommates, I understand that every owner's household and every pet is different. I make sure that each of the doors and windows are closed and locked for the pet's safety, unless otherwise specified by the owners. If there are certain rooms or parts of the house off-limits to myself or the pets, I keep us away from those areas for the owner's privacy. And if the pets do tend to make a mess or I use any of the utilities of the home to help clean and take care of the pets, I make sure that everything is turned off and cleaned up afterwards so there are no messes for the owners when they return to their home and beloved pets.
