“We were nervous to drop off our pup, he had a bad experience at a previous boarding place. But Amanda was so sweet, very reassuring, kept us posted on how he was doing and sent pics. He did GREAT! We know by his behavior at pick up he was well taken care of and loved. Amanda and her family get 10 starts in my book!”

“They were very welcoming people and Cody truly felt at home when he arrived. The pictures frequently eased our minds. I love the extra yard space for my dog to play. Thank you so much”

“Stephanie took such great care of my pup. Loved the videos and pictures she sent me while my dog, Coco was with her. Coco enjoyed her time with Stephanie and her pup friends. I will be using her again to dogsit!”

“What a blessing it was for us to find Saffron. Days before our Thanksgiving vacation we were stuck without a sitter for our boy Levi. I decided to give Rover a try and found Saffron. Within a couple days we did a meet and greet and she brought Fiona and Shrek to meet Levi and they all got along wonderfully! Saffron sent plenty of pictures and videos during my 5 day trip and i didn’t feel like i was missing a thing with my pup! It’s a wrap...this is Levi’s home away from home when mommy and daddy have to travel! Saffron you’re great!”

“Laetitia was absolutely amazing!!!!! Our dog had the best time and we loved all of the updates and pictures we received. We are so grateful to have found such an amazing caretaker for our sweet doggy when we are away!”

“David and family are always great with communication, sending frequent updates and photos. This stay, they noticed Laila wasn’t acting like her usual self. She was sleeping more and hanging her head down. Edith looked in her ears and noticed an infection. She immediately contacted me, and offered to give doggy ibuprofen (with my permission), and/or call the emergency vet (since it was Christmas). I truly appreciate how attentive they are to all my dog’s needs!”
“Kristin and her family did an awesome job making sure our dogs integrated well with theirs and cared for them like they were their own while we were gone for the week. Went above and beyond with communication and care for our intensive puppy. We had no worries about them whatsoever at any point. If we ever need boarding again I won’t hesitate to choose Kristin!”

“Michelle took such great care of our two dogs. Our big mutt is kinda weird with other dogs & needs someone to care for him who understands his body language and nuisances. Michelle was incredibly qualified for Rip’a “weirdness.” She sent several pictures and checked in frequently. She also had great advice for training and information I should look into to better care for Rip. If you’re looking for a very knowledgeable caregiver, look no further! Michelle is wonderful.”

“Amanda and her family — two-legged and 4-legged — were great! Mozzi, an energetic miniature Bernedoodle, felt right at home from the first minute of our Meet-and-Greet. Amanda sent wonderful, reassuring photos and videos throughout his 6-day stay. He was clearly having so much fun I wondered if he’d have second thoughts about coming home with his stodgy old lady! Amanda will definitely be my first call the next time Mozzi needs a home away from home or a play date.”

“Kristi and her family were amazing watching our 2 dogs when our Boarder closed about a month before our travel. She sent pictures and videos daily that our kids looked forward to. Our dogs were in a much better place than boarding because they didn't spend half a day in a cage and got to play with their own dog. They loved our dogs like their own. We will absolutely book again, not only for the peace of mind, but it was evident the dogs loved it there too. Highly recommend!”

“Jennifer & Michael were amazing with our dog Mila! They sent pictures while we were away and I know my dog loved being there. If Mila could’ve stayed longer, she would’ve stayed! They were very nice & respectful with us, but they are definitely dog lovers! We will definitely be asking again for them to dog sit Mila again! I will definitely be spreading Rover.com to anyone who needs a dog sitter especially if it’s last minute like it was for us. Thank you Jennifer and Michael for taking such great care of Mila!”

“This was my first time using Jessica and also Blu’s first time with a petsitter. I was extremely nervous to leave him for the weekend with someone he didn’t know because Blu gets anxious really easily. However, within the first hour of dropping him off, Jessica sent me a video of Blu and her dog River, chasing each other in her fenced in backyard having a good time. Her dog River is a sweet natured dog that really helps new dogs being left in Jessica’s care, acclimate to the new environment. Within just a couple hours, she sent me a photo of Blu laying on top of her husband on the couch, which is something I haven’t seen him do with anyone except myself. Jessica was extremely responsive providing pictures throughout each day he was there without me having to ask. She’d send me an update each day before I’d even begin to think about how he was doing. I highly recommend and will definitely be using her again every time I need a sitter in the Summerville/Charleston area.”

“Stephen and Jessica were AMAZING! From the moment I met them and their sweet pups, I knew Ringo would do great! They sent pictures and messages daily and were so flexible when our flight home was delayed. We will definitely use them again!”
“Always lovely to have our Charlotte to stay with Lea & Luna + Copper!!! She always get the best care and best friends!!!! So much love & so much fun, we will definitely come back!!!”

“Saffron was super thorough and professional. I appreciated her proactive communication and even the cleanup of wet cat food at the end of the check-in. I would definitely book with her again. Thanks so much!”

“Trying was so attentive to my dogs Buoy & Earl! I could tell that from the moment they met her, they really liked her vibe! She was always very communicative whenever she was heading over, and let me know how they were doing! Plus, the photos on the Rover Card were just too cute! The house was always in order whenever she came by and played with them outside which I really appreciate it! The puppets can’t wait to see her again! Thank you Trinity!”

“The best evidence of an excellent cat sitter for a very social kitty, is when she would prefer to sit in her window (which had been closed) then curl up with you. Josh did that. 2 x daily visits with brushes, play, litter, food and treats was plenty for my girl (who I was concerned about leaving due to her separation anxiety). Turns out, it was just me ;-) Thank you Josh!”

“Jabrae did an excellent job taking care of Ginger. Litter boxes were clean, food and water bowls full, and most importantly Ginger recieved her Insulin shots on time twice a day. She was sure to keep us informed on her progress and sent us a picture of Ginger when she was there. I highly recommend Jabrae for taking care of any pet!”

“Katie was amazing! She took great care of our kitty cat Chai and they loved each other immediately. While away, we had some family medical emergencies that required us to extend our trip. Katie was super understanding and was able to extend our booking without hesitation. She’s absolutely wonderful and really made a difficult time in our lives a little less so. We can’t thank her enough and we will absolutely book with her again.”

“First time using Rover, and absolutely happy that I found Lauren to take care of my cats. Lauren was super friendly and responsive, will be using her service again in the future!”

“I went looking for a Rover sitter very early in the morning and she had already updated when she was available. That alone convinced me to book her. The meet and greet went well and I knew that she would take great care of my babies. She is simply the best. My "vampire kitty" looked well cared for in the pictures she sent me. Next time I need a sitter, Mya will be my choice.”

“Once again, Zoe is an awesome Rover. It’s clear how much our cat naturally loves her. Zoe is great with communication and always leaves the best reviews and pictures! 100% cannot recommend her enough!!”

“Brandy was terrific. My cat immediately warmed up to her, which is uncommon and I truly appreciate that Brandy helped me out over a holiday weekend. She provided great pictures and updates and everything was in perfect shape!”

“Dawn is great! very friendly and approachable. she's very flexible too. I originally got the dates wrong and she had no problem rescheduling for the correct dates. she even offered me half off the rate that Rover initially suggested. Will 100% be booking her again!”

“Ella did an amazing job with Fitzgerald and George Michael! She was on top of giving GM his daily inhaler and his rescue inhaler if he needed it. Every day she would provide a quick update with pictures of the boys and let me know if they had caused any trouble. I would highly recommend her to any of my friends and would definitely have her watch the boys again.”

“I have used Victoria several time now to check in on my cats. She is very dependable and does exactly as I ask and keeps me up to date on the status of her visits. I will definitely continue using Victoria for future drop-in visits.”

“Gillian was so kind and loving to Jafar while we were away. Not only was she responsive and adaptable, she sent tons of photos and detailed notes so we felt like he was in good hands. Thanks so much Gillian!”

“Jasmine was amazing with my almost 2 year old, 3 lb poodle mix Cocoa! We were in town for a family reunion and needed someone to watch her while we went on a tour. Jasmine came and picked her up from the hotel, reassured us that Cocoa would be in good hands, was attentive, gave us numerous updates to include videos and pictures! Cocoa came back happy and you could tell she felt a lot of love during her stay. ❤️ If we ever come back to Charleston, we will definitely be using Jasmine and would recommend you to use her too! 10/10 service!”

I’m patient, attentive, and always make sure dogs feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I understand that every dog has unique needs, and I take the time to follow routines and instructions closely so pet parents can feel confident their dog is in good hands. I am home seven days a week since I attend school online. Even when I need to run errands, I am usually gone for no more than two hours at a time. I am currently a stay at home mom so I am able to make our schedule whatever it needs to be to properly care for your animals while you are away. I have a large backyard with a privacy fence so they can run around as much as they want. If your furbaby wants to sleep in or out of a kennel that is fine. They will have the freedom to sleep where they like.
“Marina took great care of our dogs and was a pleasure to work with! She was very responsive, always gave us updates, and our dogs were very comfortable at her home.”

We have both rescued animals and have experience with puppies and senior age dogs. Both of our dogs at home are rescues that have required a lot of love and dedication that have become our world. They love to play and make new friends. We live on just over an acre of land that is fully fenced in that is our dogs paradise, and could be yours as well! We understand the peace of mind you want as you leave your fur babies in our care and will provide high quality care and reassurance at all times. We both work from home as remote care nurses. The dogs would never be left alone unless we run out quickly. Potty breaks and playtime would be frequent throughout the day. In a short sentence, our dogs rule our house. We are firm believers in giving animals the best life you can give them and allowing them to feel comfortable in our home, as it was their own. We understand owners may have routines they expect us to follow with their animals and we will honor those requests.
“Alice was very kind and understanding with me. She reached out promptly and would stay in touch throughout the rover- daycare process. I received updates with pictures of Echo during the day which were much appreciated 🐾 I would use her services again.”

About: I’ve been dog sitting for my friends for 3 years and I’ve been a dog dad for almost 2 years. I’ve had my dog since he was a puppy so I’m used to all the puppy energy. I’ve also watched elderly dogs and am happy to give them all the snuggles. I work from home so I’ll always be around to take care of your dog. I’m available to take them out for potty and play with them several times throughout the day. I have a fenced back yard to keep the dogs contained. Otherwise the dogs are welcome to hang with us in the living room and they have free range on our furniture. I’m happy to crate your dogs whenever as well in one of our spare bedrooms.
“Very accommodating with our last minute booking. Sent lots of pictures and updates which were much appreciated. Rocky loved the attention and play that he didn’t want to come home! Thanks again!”
About: I take a holistic approach to care for young and old pets. I will ensure that they are physically and mentally cared for so that they can live their best lives while you are away. I am available mornings, afternoons and evenings to check in on and/or stay with your pet. I can be available on an on call basis as well. I have the ability to care for your pets on a daily or weekly basis. I can keep them engaged so that they can live their best life while you are away.
About: I absolutely adore pups of every size and personality! At home, I have a Shih Tzu, a Dalmatian (we thought he was a Lab until we did DNA testing!), and a sweet little Chihuahua. Each one is so different, but together they make the perfect pack. All of my dogs came from tough beginnings, but their resilience and ability to love inspires me every day. Giving them a safe, happy, and loving home has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I would treat your pets just like my own—keeping them safe, cared for, and comfortable while giving them all the love and attention they deserve. Whether it’s cuddles, playtime, or just making sure their needs are fully met, I’ll make sure your furry family members feel right at home. I’m a proud pet parent to three wonderful rescue pups, and I honestly couldn’t love them more. Watching them learn how to simply be dogs—to play, to trust, to feel safe and loved—has been one of the most rewarding parts of my life. They give me just as much joy as I give them. Our pack has a well-loved routine: breakfast and dinner together (with Otis getting his pill at each meal). Since I work from home, two of the pups usually “work” alongside me—though Ollie prefers lots of days off. Their work ethic may be questionable, but their company is unmatched! Ozzie, on the other hand, takes his role as head of security very seriously, keeping a close watch from the front window. At home, the dogs are always by my side, whether it’s keeping me company during the day or snuggling at night. They sleep in bed, lounge on the furniture, and honestly think of me as part of the furniture too—and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Caring for them has taught me the importance of patience, safety, and unconditional love—values I carry into caring for every dog I meet. Each dog is unique, and I happily adjust to their needs. From carrying Ollie up and down stairs, up and down from the couch to giving him stroller walks so he can keep up, I make sure every pup feels included. I’ll give your dog the same love, patience, and care I give my own. Our home has three friendly pups—Ozzie is the biggest at just 45 lbs! Yard is fully fenced and secure yard, but I always go outside with them to ensure safety. Our dogs are allowed on the furniture, but I’m happy to follow your preferences if you’d like your littles to stick to their own cozy spots. At home, we keep things relaxed and let the pups be themselves. We always keep fresh water available (three bowls downstairs that I’m constantly refilling!). If I’m dropping by to care for your pets, you can count on me to be prompt, respectful, and to show them the same love and attention I give my own. Keeping dogs safe is a top priority for me—I know the worry of even imagining a lost pet, and I’ll always make sure yours are secure. Beyond that, I truly enjoy spending time with dogs, whether it’s playing, cuddling, or even having a “deep conversation” with them. After all, they always have the best listening ears.
“Oreo had the BEST time! He usually is very antisocial and is scared of other dogs, but he had made friends with Cleo (Lizzy's dog). He also comes back from doggy daycares stressed and overwhelmed, but he seemed so refreshed and happy when he came back:) Would definitely recommend Lizzy as the best dogsitter!”

With our flexible schedules you won’t have to worry about your pet being alone for long and they’ll receive plenty of love and attention throughout the day. “Trinity is wonderful….she endured a medical crisis with one of my senior dogs & handled my dog and the situation with complete compassion and competence ….and I truly appreciate that!!!! She is reliable and caring.”
About: I've owned dogs, cats and small animals throughout my life. I have experience with puppies, kittens, senior animals, rodents and reptiles. About: I have lots of experience with taking care of dogs and cats. I am comfortable taking care of dogs of all sizes. I have always had dogs in my house growing up, and I know the responsibilities it takes to care for an animal. I will treat your pet as if they are my own. I am very detail oriented and will make sure your pet has all their needs met. This includes potty breaks, food, water, medications, play time, and quality time. I can take your dog for a walk, do a few drop in visits, or do an overnight depending on your pet’s needs or what you are comfortable with. I am currently a rising junior at CofC studying Biology. I will be home (Summerville, SC) for the summer and can take care of pets all throughout the day. During the school year (Downtown Charleston) I can do drop in’s or walks in the morning before my classes, and after my classes in the afternoon, evenings, or overnight. Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. We live on 2 fully fenced acres, providing plenty of secure space to run and explore while always supervised. When indoors, pets are part of our family environment — relaxing, playing, or cuddling in a calm and clean home. I carefully follow each dog’s routine, feeding schedule, and any special instructions to ensure they feel safe and at ease. My goal is to create a structured but loving environment where your pup feels right at home.

“Chelsea is a wonderful pet sitter/dog walker. She is reliable, consistently communicative, and great with our dogs and cats. Unfortunately, she was taking care of our dogs during a very rainy week, but she did a great job drying them off and making sure they got out there (even if they didn’t want to go out!). I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to others!”

“Dawn was great with our daisy this past weekend we were able to go on vacation without any worries we got pictures each time dawn visted , 5 stars and we will be using her again for sure !”

“Jennifer's care and management of our girls, Fiona the pittie, and Fiona, the African Grey, is superb. She has extensive and practical experience in the care of many species, and applies her knowledge to our girls. She has taken initiative to help Fiona (and me) to work on Fiona leash manners, and is cultivating a relationship with Wanda. Jennifer is prompt and takes your input seriously. I highly recommend her.”

About: I’ve always grown up with atleast two animals, so I have a huge soft spot for them! I know the ups and downs of dogs and cats! I usually work Mondays through Fridays at my job. With clients home I would ask what their preferred methods are!

“Saffron did amazing! She sent photos with each check-in and even made me aware of some possible health issues that should be brought to my vets attention. She was easy to communicate with and responded quickly. We will definitely use her again for our next trip.”

“Victoria was wonderful! She took my dog on a nice walk, gave him a treat, and his meds while I was out of town. I also received a super cute picture of him! He seemed really happy and that’s what I care about. I would definitely book her again.”

“Jennifer took very good care of my Sheba I was out of the country and was anxious about being so far away from my pet baby. Jennifer sent me pictures every day and kept me posted on how well she was being taken care of.”

“Just relocated back to area and always dread looking for new sitter for Jasper Shall I say “ Look no further “ Ryan an Amber took great care of Jasper Easy drop and pick up with pictures shared during the stay Look forward now to my next trip and knowing Jasper will be in great care. Ty j”

“Alexis and John took great care of my boys (both are Dachshunds). Alexis sent daily photos and kept in contact the whole time. This was our first time boarding them with a service like Rover, so I was pretty nervous since one of our boys has IVDD and the other had not been boarded in at least four years. They received their joint medicine and got plenty of cuddles. I would not hesitate to use them again.”

“Vilma took care of my kitty Moofie over a holiday weekend and she was great! From the moment I asked for the booking to the time I picked up Moofie she responded to any question I had within minutes. Even though Moofie was a bit scared at first, she helped him settle in with a private room. She was also totally prepared with food bowls, litter, and a window perch. You can tell she enjoys what she does and Vilma sent me some great photos Moofie's stay. I would definitely recommend and book with Vilma again.”
