My dog had a wonderful stay with Laura up until one afternoon when he was unable to stand up. Eventually, after hours at the emergency vet, it was diagnosed as a CCL tear. (This was no fault of Laura's, and in fact the vet told me that this injury was likely inevitable, and it was just bad timing that the movement that finally did the ligament in was on Laura's watch.) Laura took many hours out of her evening to take my dog to the after hours emergency vet, staying up until very late at night until he was finally released, and she was very communicative with me the entire time. This situation was very emotionally challenging for me, as I was on the east coast and the earliest I could book a flight back was the next morning, but the way Laura handled it helped alleviate my stress. Obviously your dog having an unforeseen medical emergency while being boarded is something no pet owner ever wants to experience. But it's not always preventable, and in the worst case scenario that it does happen, your dog will be in capable hands with Laura.”

About: I've taken care of dogs (of various breeds) since I was in middle school. I have done short-term and long-term care both out of my house or going over to the owner's house. I am a very calm and reassuring person and have worked with both young and elder dogs. I am a recent graduate who is currently applying to post-graduate programs and jobs, so I have great flexibility in my schedule when I am not helping my grandmother with errands or volunteering at Greendale Elementary (on Tuesday and Thursday mornings). I can do any weekday besides Wednesday afternoons. I can do most times on the weekends unless I have a prior engagement planned. I can do Christmas/Winter Break, but I will be away for Thanksgiving this year. I have a fenced-in yard and have plenty of room for housing your pet as there are no other pets in the house currently. The neighborhood is very safe and has walking paths for walking pets. I am also happy to drop in or stay at your home if that is more comfortable for your pet (or you)!

“Tamara met us before Koda's stay, answered our questions and addressed our concerns. She is very nice and took great care of Koda! She has lots of experience with fostering, owning and rescuing dogs which was great as our pup is a rescue with some anxiety. She sent us (p)updates with pictures which helped us feel at ease. (It seemed like Koda was too by the pictures!)She definitely won Koda's heart because he couldn't help but give her a big kiss before we left! :) We would definitely recommend her and hire her again!”
