Personalized care for your dog or cat - Bowyer

Highly-rated overnight sitters - Bowyer
“This was my first time using Ashley to watch our pup and it was wonderful. She kept us updated with plenty of pictures and my pup looked like he had a great time. She accommodated our needs well and we will be using her for our long trip coming up!”

“Jeanne was great with my pup. She sent regular pictures and made me feel comfortable knowing he was well cared for. Not only was she always responsive, she showed a depth of knowledge regarding canine body language that made me know Kilo would be safe and cared for in my absence!”

“Sienna & James were great to work with! We did a meet and greet before hand and while our pups ran around my son got to play with their kids and he asks every day to go back to play! 🤣 We just moved across the country and have had a lot of change and also knew no one to watch Cali, felt great having a sweet family take care of her. unfortunately, cali had a few incidents while there and caused some damage to door trim and a door. Sienna was so sweet, gracious and kind when delivering this news and for that i am so incredibly grateful. this is very out of character for cali, i would never send her to someone’s home if she was destructive. i am mortified and so sorry but obviously paid for repairs and apologized profusely and they never once were unkind about an unfortunate circumstance.”

“Kristi and Will were amazing with our boy Winston. They sent multiple pictures and updates a day that helped us feel like he was getting the best care and attention while away from home. We could reach out any time to check in and would always get a response right away. We could tell he enjoyed his time and would absolutely recommend them to anyone that needed their pup watched!”

“Genny is absolutely the best dog sitter. She treats our dog like he is royalty and she sincerely loves him. We never worry when Ms. Jenny has Berry. She treats him as if he were her own. And, enjoy getting pictures throughout the day! 10 of 10!”

“My first time using rover with my pit bull mix puppy. Very good communication and sent lots of pictures to me of him playing! Would recommend her for your pup. Backyard is made for dogs!”

“Sarah was awesome. I will definitely use her again as well as recommend using her. I felt comfortable leaving Colby with her, usually when I board him I have some anxiety especially now that he's older, but I didn't this time. After getting Colby back home it took him a day to get back to himself, I think Sarah spoiled him 😊”

“Saffron is amazing!! They both took amazing care of our doggies and made sure they got plenty of exercise, love, and attention. It’s also awesome to take your dogs to Saffron because your dogs will get plenty of socialization!”

“Megan was absolutely fantastic!! We boarded our large breed dog, Dutch, with her for over a week while out of town and had an amazing vacation knowing that our pup was being loved and cared for like her own. We loved getting the frequent updates and pictures showing he was having a blast, and Megan always communicated quickly and was extremely flexible with scheduling our pick up and drop off times. We will definitely be trusting her with our pup again, 10/10 seriously cannot recommend her enough!!”

“Kim was fantastic! Sophie was so spoiled and misses Kim. I would highly recommend Kim to watch your babies as she is so kind and caring. Plenty of contact and pics. Never once did I have a concern with Kim. Sophie was not treated as well with a previous Boarding company so Kim lowered my anxiety. Kim is my choice going forward. Thank you Kim from the bottom of our hearts.”

“I could not be any happier with the care and love Levon got while staying with Benjamin and his wife! It gave me peace of mind and the ability to enjoy my trip knowing how much fun he was having with their dogs. I’ll definitely use their services again!”

“Lina was amazing! This was our first time leaving our 10 month old puppy. He was very anxious the first night and Lina went above and beyond and slept on the couch so he wasn’t alone. She sent regular photos/videos and updates at least daily. Our pup loved playing with all the other dogs she boards.”

“My dog seemed to really enjoy his 5 night stay. He was well taken care of and enjoyed the other dogs. I was updated with photos often and that put me at ease since I was out of the states! They were helpful in correcting my booking mishap as well and the modification was done to reflect the change. My dog received plenty of love and attention. If you’re looking for dog care give them a try.”

“Alexis and John took great care of my boys (both are Dachshunds). Alexis sent daily photos and kept in contact the whole time. This was our first time boarding them with a service like Rover, so I was pretty nervous since one of our boys has IVDD and the other had not been boarded in at least four years. They received their joint medicine and got plenty of cuddles. I would not hesitate to use them again.”

“My boy is almost 12 and I have never left him with a stranger. I was new to the process and didn't have any idea of what was going on and I wasn't very keen on the idea of having to leave him with a stranger. Fortunately, Kristin was very responsive and kind about the whole thing, which was very reassuring. I got picture updates daily and even videos. The neighborhood was very nice, her home was clean and organized, she had a fenced in yard, twin boys which I am sure my dog loved to be around, and the a sweet weiner dog. My dog has specific feeding and meds, which she accommodated. I didn't want him to be alone when I was gone and picking Kristin was perfect.”

“Zoe is fantastic! Our cat seems to be very shy with Rovers typically, but not with Zoe! Zoe is thorough in her care and her write-up. Will be exclusively using her in the future when we can!”

“I went looking for a Rover sitter very early in the morning and she had already updated when she was available. That alone convinced me to book her. The meet and greet went well and I knew that she would take great care of my babies. She is simply the best. My "vampire kitty" looked well cared for in the pictures she sent me. Next time I need a sitter, Mya will be my choice.”

“Stephene took great care of my older kitty while I was away for a week. She visited twice a day, gave Rue her daily medicine took photos for me and was very communicative. I felt at ease while being away and so glad to return to a happy kitty.”

“Felt very heard and listened to when it came to what I wanted for my cats. Was very respectful of my home and everything. I have a cat who has had a lot of problems in the past but she handled everything with grace and made my feel comfortable about leaving my babies. Overall, AMAZING!”

I also do photography as a hobby, you will always have cute photos sent to you. I am a stay at home mom, because my schedule is flexible, I'm able to work around what is needed for taking care of your fur babies. I have found that when a new person enters an animals schedule, staying on the schedule they are used to helps everyone adjust. I feel keeping the animal (s) on a schedule they're used to is helpful.

About: I love caring for dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I grew up with a sweet black lab named Jessie, and those 13 years taught me everything about feeding, walking, playing, and giving pets the love they deserve. After she passed, I realized how much joy animals bring and I’ve been caring for pets ever since. Along with my own experience, I’ve helped neighbors, friends, and Rover clients with walks, drop‑ins, house sitting, and playtime. Every visit has been a joy! I’m a college graduate with a BA in Human Service Studies and currently work in government contracting. I’ll treat your pets with the same kindness, patience, and affection I gave Jessie - making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I currently work full-time during the week, but have weekend flexibility and some lunchtime/evening flexibility on the weekdays depending on my schedule and our locations. I travel occasionally for work or to visit family, but I will block those dates out in my calendar as soon as they're scheduled. Overall, I will do my best to fit your needs! A safe environment is crucial! Steps that I take to create that include: ensuring the dog is leashed before going outside, unless there is a fenced yard that the client has approved us to go in. Listening to the client's requests and fully understanding the dog's/cat's personality. Asking important questions such as "how does the pet interact with other people or pets?". Providing the right amount of food, plenty of water, and administering any prescribed medications.
About: I have grown up in a house with multiple animals my whole life. My dad is a professional dog trainer so I have grown up with a background of being able to read and understand dogs. My family also breeds Shorthairs so I'm very well rounded. I have worked in vet's offices for 10 years, and have had many years of animal care experience in different fields. I have been a petsitter for around 15 years, and my business grew by word of mouth. My daughter and son love to travel with me so kid friendly dogs are preferred. I am currently a stay at home mom, so I am free any day of the week and most any time you may need me. My schedule is very flexible as long as my son can travel with me. I will always do meet and greets with the pets and owners to make sure we are a good fit. I will follow all instructions given to me by the owners to keep the animals feeling safe. Due to some recent issues with bully mixes and my two pups, I am not boarding any dogs mixed with pit bull in my home. I apologize for any inconvenience. My husband and I work together to keep the best schedule for our animals and those that are staying with us. Breakfast is done by my husband before work and I take care of the dogs the rest of the day! I have a fully fenced in yard. Dogs are allowed to run the entirety of my open concept downstairs. I have a gate up to prevent them from going upstairs to the kids bedrooms. Dogs are all fed in their kennels (including mine) to prevent any food aggression issues. Dogs are all kenneled at night and when I leave the house (which is rare) during the day.
About: I've had animals all my life. I've taken care of everything from dogs and cats to lizards and guinea pigs. My dogs are well trained, I have a 2 year old German Shepard and a 9 month old cat currently. They have had plenty of exposure with other animals. I love to interact with new animals and they will be under the best care when with me. I will strive to give your loved ones the attention they need. Im currently working part-time time with a lot of freedom in my scheduling. Pet sitting gets me out of the house and it is mutually rewarding to spend my time caring for animals. My 3 year old German Shepard and 1 yr old cat offer a fun friend to play with. Plenty of toys and treats available. House is big enough to divide spaces if breaks are needed. Schedules are put in place as to ease transitions from one home to the other.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs of every kind since I was 10. Neighbors, friends, and family have trusted me to walk, feed, bathe, and care for their pets—including puppies needing consistent training and senior dogs requiring gentle handling and medication. I treat every animal like my own and always go the extra mile to keep them safe, loved, and happy. I run my own consulting firm, which means I have full flexibility to create my own schedule. I can easily build in time for pet care throughout the week and weekends. Whether it’s daily walks, drop-ins, or overnight care, I’m able to accommodate what your pup needs. I have a fully fenced yard and two friendly dogs who love having company. Your pet will be cared for in a calm, secure environment where they’ll feel right at home. I can follow your preferred routine, crate if needed, and always prioritize your pet’s safety and comfort.

About: I've had animals my whole life, even as a child, but cats have always held a special place in my heart. When they come to you and show affection, it makes you feel loved and special, bc cats can be finicky. When you are chosen by a cat, it feels like a million bucks. I hope to gain your kitty's trust and love just as my own have come to love me.

Perfect for high energy dogs - Bowyer
“I can't say enough wonderful things about Kim and her husband Mickey. They responded immediately and was so helpful and friendly. Even worked with my unknown hours. They cared for my 7 month old puppy Luke he was a KING! They had great, well behaved dogs that he loved and played with non stop. They always lake them to sog parks and my puppy is exausted when we get home which is wonderful because so are we. I am so blessed to have met them and their sweetness for my puppy and helping us find places to eat or see around the new town. Thor ( our puppy) now knows when we go towards their place and races up to their door. Mickey loves the animals as much or maybe more than Kim which is incredible they both adore animals so much. Kim is so helpful and always willing to accommodate any need. I wouldn't use anyone else!!!!”

About: We have many animals at our home, we have a two year old lab, 2 cats and 14 chickens. We’ve had a senior dachshund, senior lab and senior cat before so we are all well versed in the care of different animals at different stages. I am currently a stay at home mom so I am able to make our schedule whatever it needs to be to properly care for your animals while you are away. We have a yard with privacy fence so animals can run freely in the yard. We have a two year old lab that does wonderfully with other dogs and would love to be your pets playmate. We have a kennel if need be and are comfortable allowing animals to sleep outside of the kennel as well if that is their preference.
“Because my dog has always been anxious and aggressive towards strangers, I was hesitant to find him a sitter. Jade and Joshua made us feel confident and comfortable at the meet and greet, and my dog immediately warmed up to them. My spouse and I could tell that Bo-lin felt safe, and that's all I wanted in a sitter. Joshua and Jade are experienced, confident, attentive, and attuned to what we and Bo-lin needed. We look forward to having him get used to their dogs and coming out of his shell!”

“Jasmine was amazing with my almost 2 year old, 3 lb poodle mix Cocoa! We were in town for a family reunion and needed someone to watch her while we went on a tour. Jasmine came and picked her up from the hotel, reassured us that Cocoa would be in good hands, was attentive, gave us numerous updates to include videos and pictures! Cocoa came back happy and you could tell she felt a lot of love during her stay. ❤️ If we ever come back to Charleston, we will definitely be using Jasmine and would recommend you to use her too! 10/10 service!”

About: My husband and I just moved here from Texas with our sweet 8 month old and two cats (they get along great with dogs). I’m a stay at home mom full time, with lots of extra time on my hands We absolutely love dogs, and hope to adopt in the future when the time is right. I currently don’t work, so i have a completely open schedule which is great when it comes to my flexibility! I stay home all day with our baby, so a non agressive dog is very crucial for us. We have a fenced in yard, love going on walks and giving belly scratches and a whole lot of time on our hands when it comes to meeting your pups needs
“Lina is awesome as always! We were in a situation where we really needed a sitter recently, and Lina came through! That is the first of many times she has come through! She is kind, helpful and professional, and Lacey loves her and being with the canine buddies there, too! My wife and I highly recommend Lina!”

About: I absolutely adore pups of every size and personality! At home, I have a Shih Tzu, a Dalmatian (we thought he was a Lab until we did DNA testing!), and a sweet little Chihuahua. Each one is so different, but together they make the perfect pack. All of my dogs came from tough beginnings, but their resilience and ability to love inspires me every day. Giving them a safe, happy, and loving home has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I would treat your pets just like my own—keeping them safe, cared for, and comfortable while giving them all the love and attention they deserve. Whether it’s cuddles, playtime, or just making sure their needs are fully met, I’ll make sure your furry family members feel right at home. I’m a proud pet parent to three wonderful rescue pups, and I honestly couldn’t love them more. Watching them learn how to simply be dogs—to play, to trust, to feel safe and loved—has been one of the most rewarding parts of my life. They give me just as much joy as I give them. Our pack has a well-loved routine: breakfast and dinner together (with Otis getting his pill at each meal). Since I work from home, two of the pups usually “work” alongside me—though Ollie prefers lots of days off. Their work ethic may be questionable, but their company is unmatched! Ozzie, on the other hand, takes his role as head of security very seriously, keeping a close watch from the front window. At home, the dogs are always by my side, whether it’s keeping me company during the day or snuggling at night. They sleep in bed, lounge on the furniture, and honestly think of me as part of the furniture too—and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Caring for them has taught me the importance of patience, safety, and unconditional love—values I carry into caring for every dog I meet. Each dog is unique, and I happily adjust to their needs. From carrying Ollie up and down stairs, up and down from the couch to giving him stroller walks so he can keep up, I make sure every pup feels included. I’ll give your dog the same love, patience, and care I give my own. Our home has three friendly pups—Ozzie is the biggest at just 45 lbs! Yard is fully fenced and secure yard, but I always go outside with them to ensure safety. Our dogs are allowed on the furniture, but I’m happy to follow your preferences if you’d like your littles to stick to their own cozy spots. At home, we keep things relaxed and let the pups be themselves. We always keep fresh water available (three bowls downstairs that I’m constantly refilling!). If I’m dropping by to care for your pets, you can count on me to be prompt, respectful, and to show them the same love and attention I give my own. Keeping dogs safe is a top priority for me—I know the worry of even imagining a lost pet, and I’ll always make sure yours are secure. Beyond that, I truly enjoy spending time with dogs, whether it’s playing, cuddling, or even having a “deep conversation” with them. After all, they always have the best listening ears.
“ZaNayah is great and cares for your pup like it’s her own! She was very communicative and friendly, and our boy came home happy and tired from playing all day! Highly recommend ZaNayah”

Growing up with small dogs in my family and fostering pups has given me insight into their diverse personalities. I understand the joy dogs bring and the importance of providing a loving home while their parents are away! I work from home, allowing me to provide attentive care throughout the day. Mornings begin with a potty break, a walk, and breakfast. I ensure regular potty and play breaks throughout the day to keep your pup happy and engaged. In the evening, we burn off energy with a trip to the local dog park or a long walk, followed by a cozy dinner at home. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your beloved pups. You can rest assured that I treat every pet as my own, providing love, attention, and personalized care throughout their stay. Our secure backyard features a 6-foot privacy fence, perfect for small dogs to play and go potty. I also have a crate available if needed. About: Hi! I'm Kernix — a military spouse, dog lover, and proud chocolate Lab mom to Josie! I know how important it is to find a safe, loving, and stress-free place for your pup while you're away. My goal is to provide a true "home away from home" experience with lots of attention, structure, and affection. I grew up around animals and have always loved caring for them. Growing up, we had pugs, chihuahuas, bunnies, and hamsters, so caring for pets has always been a natural part of my life. We moved to South Carolina in October 2025 after previously being stationed in Washington. My husband is originally from Myrtle Beach, SC, and we've loved settling into the Summerville community and making it feel like home. 1 Family at a Time: I only accept one client family at a time so your pup will receive personalized care without the stress of a crowded boarding environment. This setup works especially well for puppies, anxious dogs, seniors, or dogs who simply do better with a calmer environment. About Our Home & Routine: We live in a quiet, dog-friendly neighborhood with a fully fenced backyard where pups can safely play, sniff, and explore. Dogs enjoy regular potty breaks, supervised playtime, enrichment activities, belly rubs, and lots of companionship throughout the day. I also closely follow feeding routines and medication schedules when needed. Meet Josie: We also have our sweet chocolate Lab,Josie! She is extremely friendly and social and has done wonderfully with every person, dog, and cat she has met so far. Josie enjoys meeting friendly dogs and would love a playmate during your pup's stay. Meet & Greets & Communication: I highly encourage meet & greets before boarding, especially for first-time stays. I want both you and your pup to feel comfortable and confident before booking. Communication is very important to me, and I always do my best to stay flexible with drop-off and pick-up times whenever possible. Boarding & Doggy daycare: Doggy day care pickup is by 5 PM. If pickup is needed after 5 PM, please book boarding instead so I can properly accommodate your pup's evening and overnight care routine. Boarding Requirements: To help keep everyone safe and comfortable, I currently only accept: • Dogs that are reasonably potty trained • Friendly dogs that do well around people and other dogs • Dogs that are up to date on vaccinations and flea/tick prevention Because I provide care in my personal home, I may not be the best fit for dogs with severe separation anxiety, destructive behaviors, or frequent indoor accidents.

If that is an issue plz let me know in advance. Coordinated per client! I only work part time at a dental office so otherwise I am available 24/7! I strive to cater to each clients specific needs. We have 3 dogs, and a sweet outdoors old cat. Your pets will get plenty of love and affection from all of us! All of our pets are crate trained in case you are more comfortable with your pets being crated. We live in a very quiet town of cross in the country! Let your city pup come play in the woods while you’re on vacay!
About: I’ve been surrounded by various dog breeds and ages my entire life and learned to love senior dogs as my childhood dog grew older. I have experience with infant puppies to the late stages in life. I love to spend time with other people’s dogs because I 1) enjoy helping other people out but 2) can’t have a dog of my own right now and need somewhere to give all my love!!! I see clients throughout the week at various times, usually virtually, so my availability is pretty open! Fridays work a little differently, but I will also make sure to update you on that! I am free for check-ins, but also LOVE sitting at home with the dogs when I can - especially since I can use remote platforms! I will mostly stay overnight for people in their homes and take care of their dogs + give lots of snuggles while families are on vacation. I will feed the dogs, give them medications if needed, make sure water is kept clean and full, play in the yard (if available), take on walks, snuggles, etc :)
About: As an animal owner myself, I know what I look for in a pet sitter, your fur babies will be cared for just as you care for them.

About: I love dogs that are not mine as if they were my own! I have many years of caring for dogs and other animals. I am good at taking care of multiple pets and different types of pets. I have taken care of dogs who need meds, older dogs, puppies, etc. I am engaging and loving with your pet. I am more than happy to meet your expectations and needs for you furry friend and will work with you on what you should need with flexibility and understanding. I can't wait to sit or walk your treasured baby. Be sure that if you decide on me I will go above and beyond as that is my style in life and with animals and people. I also teach yoga and my philosophy in life is to love all beings. 💕 I do pet drop ins or walks so I have plenty of time to love on your sweet fur baby. I treat your baby as if my own. I make a lot of time to care for your pet. Depending on your needs we can discuss your expectations and needs for your fur baby.
About: Hey! I have experience as a veterinary professional with over 10 years of caring for pets, including emergency medicine. I’ve always had a burning passion to care for animals since I was young. I am experienced in giving medications and also providing lots of attention and love while you’re away. I have pets of my own and understand the love, care, and affection they need while you’re away and I know what it’s like to need someone special to take care of them. I enjoy being active so going on walks, playing tug-of-war, or even ball is not a problem. I love to keep pet parents updated with pictures and videos. I like to follow the same routines as you would for your furry family members to ensure they have a calm and comfortable experience. I will provide exceptional and experienced service for you and your furry friends so you can relax in knowing they are safe and comfortable:) We can always figure out a schedule that works for everyone! I am always trying to figure out what works best for everyone’s schedule, so if you have questions we can talk prior to booking. I do not board at my home. Typically to keep a nice stable and calm environment I encourage my clientele to allow me to stay at their home or periodically check in on their pets in their own home. I have found that over the years being in their own home is where pets are most comfortable and safe.

About: As a husband and wife team, our pets are part of our family. We're sure yours are too. That's why we are opening up our schedules and offering our hearts up to your pets so you can have peace of mind while at work or out of town. If we're visiting your pet at home or going for walks, we'll will bring our full hearts and excitement with us (probably with a couple well behaved kids in tow) just as their own human would. We can't wait to meet you and your pet! We homeschool our kids and work from home, so our schedules are usually pretty wide open to fit most of your pet's needs, from drop in visits to custom timed walks. We have a handful of both dogs and cats at home that all require something different. Our oldest dog is 15, and our youngest is a year. Our oldest cat is 12 and our youngest is 2. We'd follow basic care guidelines as well as any special instructions you set for your pet, and treat your pet with the same respect we'd treat our own.

“This was my first time using Ashley to watch our pup and it was wonderful. She kept us updated with plenty of pictures and my pup looked like he had a great time. She accommodated our needs well and we will be using her for our long trip coming up!”

“Mr. Zadok was extremely awesome and stayed in communication with me the entire time my dog stayed with him! He sent pictures of him along with his pets during their play times! Very convenient and easily to get along with, definitely recommend his services! Thanks again Mr. Z, Junior will definitely return to you!! :)”

“New to the area and new to Rover, we are so thankful we found Rachel to watch our lab Chloe for Memorial Day weekend! I received pictures and updates frequently, which really eased my anxiety while we were away. I know Chloe suffers from separation anxiety but after a day she was comfortable and made herself feel at home. Definitely will use Rachel again in the future!”

“This was the third time we have used the services of Jessica and Stephen for our pup and we could not be more pleased with everything about their care. From the pictures, and the daily walks to the detailed and humorous updates, Jessica and Stephen bring a level of compassion and professionalism that inspires confidence and trust that our pup is in the best of hands. We are able to travel for family visits without worry, and able to enjoy our time knowing our good boy is enjoying his time with Jessica and Stephen and their good boys! Thank you so much Jessica and Stephen!”
