While someone is home the vast majority of the time, we may occasionally step out for short errands or dinner (1 to 3 hours). During these brief periods, guest dogs are kept safe and comfortable indoors alongside Charlie. We live in a quiet, planned community with a 4-foot fully fenced backyard where dogs can run freely and play fetch safely in shaded grass. Guest dogs are treated like family and are welcome to relax on our covered couches for post-play naps. I run a local nonprofit farm animal sanctuary where my husband and I care for rescued animals with a wide range of backgrounds, personalities, and needs. I’m also involved with local animal rescues and have years of experience fostering dogs. I grew up around dogs, cats, and horses and currently have two dogs of my own. Between fostering, rescue work, and running our sanctuary, I’ve cared for animals of all ages, sizes, temperaments, and backgrounds including animals who need a little extra patience, attention, or specialized care. I know how stressful it can be to leave your pet with someone new, and I take that responsibility seriously. I’m reliable, attentive, comfortable around all kinds of personalities, and will treat your pet like one of my own. I’m also happy to send plenty of photos and updates so you can actually relax while you’re away! Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, couch snuggles, or just having someone nearby, I’m happy to follow their normal routine and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and very loved. I work from home so am readily available when you need me and love to walk dogs in the morning, afternoon or evening! I am available most weekdays and may be free on some weekends if I’m in the area. I know how hard it is to find someone you trust to look after your animals so I’ll treat them like family and always keep in contact with you before, during and after your service!
