About: I've taken care of dogs (of various breeds) since I was in middle school. I have done short-term and long-term care both out of my house or going over to the owner's house. I am a very calm and reassuring person and have worked with both young and elder dogs. I am a recent graduate who is currently applying to post-graduate programs and jobs, so I have great flexibility in my schedule when I am not helping my grandmother with errands or volunteering at Greendale Elementary (on Tuesday and Thursday mornings). I have experience with the most common pet breeds: dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, fish, and hamsters, Guinea pigs. I am entirely caring, responsible, assertive when needed, and prompt. I work full time Monday-Friday in downtown Augusta 8:30am-5:30pm. I’m currently not able to leave during the day for lunch time potty breaks unless it is very close to there. For home boarding and doggie day care, my boyfriend mainly works from home and loves sharing the love ! The app also doesn’t always quote the correct prices for me, so please message me if you have any questions :) For house sitting, I fully stay at your home and take care of your pet, as if I am at my own home. I always take care pets and the home itself. I will always leave a place cleaner than when I arrived! For boarding, we have baby gates to separate animals for their own time, etc, when necessary. Our enclosed bricked in yard is perfect for any dog that wants to fun around and play fetch with our girl Ivey. He husband loves fur babies just as much as I do.

Growing up I had all sorts of pets in my home and enjoyed sitting and dog walking in my neighborhood. Also one of my first jobs was at a dog boarding and day care facility. I have experience with administering medications, walking, feeding, and cuddling! I have experience administering insulin to cats. I am used to cleaning up after pets that are older and may not always make it outside or to their litter box for the bathroom, and animals that may try to dart out open doors or gates. Starting in January, I work Monday-Friday 7:45 am to 1 pm. Outside of that, with notice, I can generally be available. I am a mom to a toddler, so I no longer do overnight care in other peoples homes. Exceptions can be made for people in my neighborhood! One of my dogs can be "dog selective" and tends to resource guard... so for everyone's safety, I do NOT watch pets in my home. Exceptions can be made for rodents or reptiles. I pet them, talk with them, play with them, groom and walk them regularly. They are allowed on the sofa and our bed but our dogs do happily sleep in their crates at night. “Laura has lots of very positive reviews, and I want to write another one from a different angle. Laura is kind, responsible, and clearly knows dogs. My dog had a wonderful stay with Laura up until one afternoon when he was unable to stand up. Eventually, after hours at the emergency vet, it was diagnosed as a CCL tear. (This was no fault of Laura's, and in fact the vet told me that this injury was likely inevitable, and it was just bad timing that the movement that finally did the ligament in was on Laura's watch.) Laura took many hours out of her evening to take my dog to the after hours emergency vet, staying up until very late at night until he was finally released, and she was very communicative with me the entire time. This situation was very emotionally challenging for me, as I was on the east coast and the earliest I could book a flight back was the next morning, but the way Laura handled it helped alleviate my stress. Obviously your dog having an unforeseen medical emergency while being boarded is something no pet owner ever wants to experience. But it's not always preventable, and in the worst case scenario that it does happen, your dog will be in capable hands with Laura.”
“Amazing! I have never left my babies with anyone overnight. I am happy I chose Hillary. I had feedback and pictures at various times through the evening, which eased my mind. One of my babies is 12.5 years old, but he adapts pretty easy to any situation. The other is a rescue that we have had for about 6 months... He has a bit of anxiety when it comes to us leaving him. He proved me wrong! I would absolutely choose Hillary again.”
