They are sweet and loving but can be a little shy or skittish around new people and things — so they may hide at first, but they warm up quickly! About: I've taken care of different breeds of dogs up to approximately 40 lbs. This has included grooming, administering medication, walking, and light training. I have taken a training class at the Humane Society for dog care. I have also taken care of horses including grooming and training for barrel racing and showing. I have taken care of bunny rabbits up to 19 rabbits at a time. I am flexible in my availability. Although I prefer part-time, I would be willing to stay with pets or have pets stay with me full time for specific periods of time for one month intervals. In special situations, I would consider longer intervals (to be determined on a case by case basis). I have ample space to walk dogs on my nearly 3/4 acre rural property which includes grassy and wooded areas. At this time, my flexible schedule allows me to spend plenty of time devoted to provide love and care for your dog. Currently, I do not have a dog myself. However, I have had the pleasure of owning dogs in the past. Now I am enjoying caring for my 11 year old pet rabbit Zahara.

About: I've taken care of dogs since I was little- training, grooming and understanding every wag and whine. My property has lots of things that will keep your dog curious and entertained. I have squirrels that run around in the trees and moles that leave chutes in the ground. Outside my fence you will often see rabbits, deer and the occasional opossum. Your dog will love the new smells and occasional sightings of these animals. For physical activity I have plenty of long stretches for play and ball chasing as well as some basic agility obstacles your dog may find interesting. My semi wooded lot has lots of sticks to chew on. Your pet will be included in walks around the neighborhood and my local park. Having recently retired from corporate America I am looking for things to keep me busy and make use of my love of pets and experience caring for them. I also recently lost my dog to cancer and while I am not quite ready to adopt a new dog I miss having one around. I do not have a 9-5 so except for the occasional errand I will be around for your pet full time. I take the responsibility of caring for your dog very seriously. I attach a tracking tag to the collar of every dog in my care as well as an extra layer of security. I am retired so with the exception of an errand I will be available to your pet full time. Pets are allowed on my furniture and bed. My experience with pets starts in high school when I volunteered at the local animal shelter cleaning out kennels, grooming and playing with cats and dogs.
