About: I’m Alex and I currently have one pitbull so I am A 24/7 dog mom! I love hiking and being out in nature. I have a high energy personality that is perfect for wearing any pup out. Growing up my parents owned dogs of all sizes and personalities (Dalmatian, Akitas, border collie, and jack russel) I love the Lower Allen dog park and would gladly take any dogs there with permission! My previous rescue pit had an abusive past which sadly caused some behavioral issues. Due to that I am more than comfortable watching any dogs that may be a little rough around the edges. I can help bath, feed, and give medications. I care for all dogs of any size and any breed. I have a dog myself (she is an 1 year old vizsla) and take her on 5 mile walks daily. The last 10ish years my family and I have cat/dog sat for multiple family members and friends. The last year I've cat sat for my neighbor multiple times. I provide routine meal times, potty breaks, litter clean-up, medications as needed, treats as positive reinforcement, play time, cuddles, walks and other exercise, and if your pets are used to sleeping in your bed, they are welcome to do the same with me! I do all of this in your home so your best bud doesn't have to stress about too many changes while they are missing you. While Rover's pricing is set up on a per dog fee schedule, I cap charges at $80 per night and $40 per drop in or walk, regardless of the number of pets in your household. In the Rover app, I must modify your booking to be able to do that. I work full-time 9:30am -6pm, Monday -Friday in York, Pa, so I limit my service area during the week to areas between York and New Oxford. I discuss my scheduling limitations with owners to ensure they are getting a sitter who is the best fit for their pets.
About: I'm most experienced with dogs and cats. That said, I am willing to look after any pet! I've always had dogs of my own, and I previously volunteered at a shelter which gave me added experience walking dogs of many breeds, ages, and temperaments. I am also familiar with giving medications (pills/capsules, eye ointments), crating, automatic feeders, and self-cleaning litter robots. I have a flexible schedule with plenty of time to give your pets the attention they deserve! I am able to accommodate both weekday and weekend requests at nearly any time. Your pets, your home, your rules! The clearer instructions the better, and please be open to answer questions where needed. About: I had a family dog for 10 years, from the time she was 2 until she was 12 so I’ve had experience with young and old dogs, I have also had a few jobs such as a PetSmart employee and an Adams county SPCA employee which gave me great animal care experience, I recently graduated from Liberty University with a Bachelor of Science in Zoo and Wildlife Biology. I look forward to giving you dog lots of love!
