I had originally booked Austin with Tyler for one week but due to housing issues I had to extend his stay. I actually had to extend Austin's stay a few times and Tyler was always happy and willing to house Austin for as long as we needed. Tyler let me come visit Austin periodically since I missed him so much, and every time I visited Austin looked great and seemed truly happy there. I will 10/10 rebook with Tyler! About: I’ve been an animal rescuer since childhood, and have raised my children (12-20) to do the same. My most recent official role in animal care and rescue has been via fostering dogs and cats through the Morris Animal Refuge in Philadelphia. Unofficially, I have been a proud dog mama for 11 years, and cat mama off and on since childhood. My resident doggo Patches is a proud foster father, and is comfortable with dogs and cats of all ages. If you have a pup or cat that could use a cuddle buddy while you are away, Patches is your guy. I am comfortable with and have experience in caring for cats, dogs, small mammals, birds, and small reptiles. I do have a particular aversion to cricket feeding, but we can make it work with super worms lol I do not know much about fish or amphibian care, but I am open to learning. I am a stay at home parent with my youngest children entering middle and high school, so my schedule is fairly open. I’m looking for furry friends to hang out with while I’m home during the day. It’s gets a little lonely in here 😊 I unfortunately do have a disability that impacts the right side of my body. Because of this, I am nervous about larger dogs that jump often (not just excited hellos), or who have strong prey drives and could potentially drag me on a walk. My dog Patches (50lbs) is walked with a gentle lead harness to keep things safe for both of us. I can handle dogs his size - or a bit larger - who do not jump, or who are low energy and would prefer to hang in the backyard rather than taking longer walks. I care for all animals as I would a human family member. I am comfortable with normal day to day care, as well as those who require special needs. I try to be very respectful of the personality of each pet. Some animals are nervous at first, and I’d like to respect their need for space and/or time to warm up to me. Other animals are excited to have a brand new friend, and I am too! Basically, I try to match the energy of who I am hanging out with.

I am currently studying canine training and behavior at the Animal Behavior Institute and have previous work experience as a kennel assistant, which has helped me tremendously when it comes to understanding animal behavior. About: We are long time dog owners who have cared for pets of friends and neighbors for 20 years. We love to be outdoors in our large fenced in yard on more than half of an acre. Our Portuguese Water Dog, Joey, is a fun-loving friend who makes a great companion to any guests in our home. Our goal is to keep your dog safe and entertained while you are away. I was a software engineer for 25 years and now I am home everyday doing some part-time consulting work. My wife is a school teacher who loves to play with dogs when she is at home. We are available to watch your pet for daycare or boarding everyday! We have a large fenced in yard on more than half of an acre. We have lived in the same house for 20 years. When the weather cooperates we love to be outdoors! On rainy days we have plenty of space in the house. We have a variety of beds and crates for boarding and tons of safe, fun toys for daycare. About: I have taken care of many dogs and cats before. Pets are man’s best friend and I believe they deserve getting excellent care. Dogs and cats of all breeds, shapes and sizes will get above and beyond good quality care. I do have a full time job, my hours are Monday-Friday 7AM-3:30PM, and I have church obligations on Sunday mornings, but I am happy to coordinate availability outside of those times. I work a consistent weekday schedule from 7:00am–3:30pm, which allows me to provide reliable evening care, walks, and overnight house sitting. About: I have had pets all my life. For nearly twenty years I grew up having multiple rescue dogs! I have always loved animals! For the past twenty plus years I have had cats. I have also had and cared for many types of small animals including rabbits, guinea pigs, mice, gerbils, hamsters, birds as well as fish, turtles and hermit crabs! Presently, I volunteer my time with two local rescue organizations. I am dependable, reliable and flexible! From now through mid-June I have availability between 9-11am and 1-2pm. After mid June I am available all day with the exception of 11-1pm. I am available for walks and drop in visits! We have a fenced in back yard for our Golden Retriever. She is walked twice a day around our neighborhood. We try to spend as much time outside with her as possible. My cat is an indoor cat. Occasionally she walks with me around the yard with a leash and harness. I always make sure pet safety comes first!

“Theresa took such good care of our two senior weimaraners---it was a short stay (this time), but they came home happy and well cared for. Theresa was very careful to completely understand the dogs' needs (diets, outdoor breaks, exercise, etc.) and was very accommodating for their 2 large beds. (She even slept with them downstairs that night rather than wake them to head upstairs!) We will not hesitate to arrange for her to care for them again; I think they miss Louie!”

“Wow!! Amanda's farm stay was the perfect place to board our dog and well worth the drive from Philly! If you have a city dog and would love a place for them to frolic in an oversized fenced yard, interact with farm animals (safely through a fence), and socialize with other dogs, this is THE spot! I was anxious about boarding our dog for the first time through Rover but Amanda's confidence, professionalism, and experience made this easy for me. She was extremely communicative and pretty much has every detail taken care of so all I needed to bring was food. During boarding, my dog had loads of fun playing with other dogs, making new friends, and (sadly for me) ignored the farm animals entirely. Having a place to board your dog where their primal needs are met under the supervision of dog experts is such a peace of mind while traveling! We'll be back!”
