In addition to our children, we have a wonderfully trained male Shi-a-Poo named Toby. He is going on 13 years old. We have raised him since a puppy. Toby also loves to play with other dogs, however he's getting pretty lazy in his old doggie days. He enjoys laying and cuddling most of the day. Our children, on the other hand, love running around, playing fetch and taking Toby for walks...Toby would love to share the wealth! We live on a quiet street in a great neighborhood located in Lake Mohawk. We have a fenced in back yard where your dog can run around and play as much or as little as he/she wants! We will provide the best care for your best friend when you are not able, with lots of love and attention. Both my husband and I grew up with dogs, and when I was a teenager, I raised a dog for the Seeing Eye. I am a stay-at-home mom. There is someone home for the majority of the day so your pup will never be alone for more than a couple of hours. We would like to keep our client dogs on the smaller size and as non-shedding as possible. Our fee of $35 is for small dogs under 25lbs. We will consider watching larger dogs between 25-35lbs if they are mellow due to our small children. There is an additional fee of $10.00 per day for dogs between 25-35lb. Pick up is before noon and drop-off is after 3pm. A $5.00 an hour charge is added for pick up after 12 noon or drop off before 3pm, with at most an additional fee of $25.00 a day. If you and your pup are looking for a great family to spend some time with, we would love to meet you and your dog! About this sitter: If your dog feels most comfortable staying at his own home, we'll come visit, walk, and play with your beloved pooch while you're away!! I grew up with both cats and dogs and currently have experience caring for multiple pets of my own, including 4 cats and 2 dogs. Over the last 1–2 years, I’ve also gained hands-on pet care experience outside of my own home. As a therapist, compassion, patience, and attentiveness are a huge part of who I am, and I bring those same qualities into the care I provide for every pet. What makes me stand out is the level of care, patience, and emotional attentiveness I bring to animals. I genuinely see pets as beings with feelings, emotions, and unique personalities, and I treat them with the same kindness and respect I would give another person. Being a therapist has strengthened my ability to be calm, observant, trustworthy, and responsive to individual needs, which helps pets feel comfortable and secure around me. I don’t just “watch” pets — I build connection, provide comfort, and make sure they feel loved while you’re away. I recently earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and currently work part-time as a therapist while continuing to grow my caseload. Pet sitting is something I genuinely enjoy and intentionally include in my schedule because caring for animals has always been a passion of mine. Since I work part time, I’m able to dedicate focused attention, patience, and quality care to the pets I work with rather than treating it like a rushed side job. When caring for pets in your home, I strive to create a calm, safe, and loving environment where they feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away. I understand that every pet has their own personality, routines, and emotional needs, so I approach each animal with compassion, empathy, and attentiveness. About: I love taking care of animals. Animal energy is something I love having in my life. I have had dogs and cats since I was born. Now I have my very own Border Collie named Iris who I love with all my heart. I was always interested in animal care bathing walking cooking my own dog special food. I recently made the decision to leave my place of employment after 25 years. So now I can commit to animal care as much or as little as I can. I don't have a routine yet but hopefully I will establish one soon. I have done numerous overnights with up to 4 dogs. I ask the owners for a printed copy of each dogs habits, routine and exercise preferences. Also if the dog has any leash or food aggression.
About: I have taken care of close friends and families pets for years and I have decided to expand and see if anyone else needs care for their animals! I have plenty of experience working with animals. I started out as a farm aid at Turtleback zoo a couple years ago and left to go work with marine mammals in Florida. When I came back to NJ I went to Cape May and worked as a full time seasonal animal keeper. After my 6 months were up I went back to Turtleback zoo as a Relief Keeper. I left the zoo field December 2021 and started working part time at a local vet clinic where I work with all size dogs and cats. I know how to give medications also if your dog or cat have any special needs! I currently work full time, first shift for a laboratory. I also work part time at a vets office but when I am dog sitting I do not just do that your pets have more of my attention and are my priority. If I were to stay at your house I can walk your dog around your neighborhood or take them on local hiking trails! Whatever works best! I am here to care for your animals just as I would my own. My dogs Cooper and Ginger are very spoiled and I can guarantee yours will be also! Depending on the needs of your pet will be the deciding factor of our daily routine. We can talk about that more in details if you decide to message me! I have two mini dachshunds that are friendly and love to walk/hike! If your dog is friendly and adventurous I would bring them along for the fun!

I love to take them on adventures in the car, to walking trails or lakes to engage with them! I currently work a full time job Monday through Friday in office with one day to work from home.
