About: I grew up with a reactive black lab, so I know how to handle leash pulling and how to deescalate and prevent fights. In her old age, I learned to accommodate her failing joints. I’ve been trained at the Licking County Humane Society in Ohio as a volunteer dog walker, which has well equipped me to understand and respond respectfully to dog language. I further pursue this knowledge by reading about how dogs communicate with us, and by observing and analyzing their behavior both in real life and online. This will be my primary commitment, so I can easily cater to your schedule to fit your pets needs. Mornings, evenings, weekends, whatever you need, except Thursdays :) I will take great care to follow your instructions and respect the rules of your home and needs of your animal(s). About: I’ve cared for dogs all my life, and I have lots of experience with big breeds as I’ve owned three Newfoundlands and a Leonberger. I also have some experience with elderly dogs. I have assisted in training all the dogs I’ve owned, and most importantly, I love all animals! I’m a college student home for the summer, so I’ve gotten plenty of time to spend time with your doggy. I’m less available early in the day (6–9AM), but from 9AM onward I’m at the disposal of your puppy. :) I’m quite good with crate training, as well as dogs that are a bit more stubborn. About: I’ve taken care of pets for friends and family since I was a kid. I love all animals, especially dogs and cats. I can’t walk past a dog on the street without asking politely to pet them! Two years ago I rescued my dog, Stanley, who is a 24 lb terrier mix. He was abused and took a very long time to warm up, but after a lot of patience and love he’s now thriving and the best boy. I learned a lot with Stanley and feel equipped to work with shyer dogs. Stanley also likes hanging out with other dogs and would enjoy some company around the house! I currently work from home full time, so my availability is flexible. Stanley and I would be happy to have you hang out with us at my place (I’d recommend a meet and greet first). Or, I could stay at your place with your pet if that’s better for them, as long as I can have access to the WiFi so I can work. I live close to a nature trail that I take Stanley on daily, and we’re very familiar with the neighborhood. I can take frequent walk breaks and crate your pet if needed.

About: I'm from PR, and I've been a dog rescuer since 2011. I have tons of experience caring for animals and giving them the love and treatment that they deserve. I love what I do. I retire and moved to Pittsburgh on February, 2023. It makes me a perfect match for your doggy. I will treat them as if they were mine. NO cages. I have a fenced runner connected to the pets' room that allows them to safely go in and out whenever they want. You can bring their bed or any special toys. I foster rescued dogs from PR that came to Pittsburgh looking for a second chance of life, and the money earn through Rover is used to cover their health and traveling expenses. I work from home, and my office is in the room where they will spend their stay, so they will be with me most of the day, and they will be able to play with my own dogs under supervision. If they are potty trained and well behaved, they will have permission to access all the house. I’ve dealt with training puppies: like walking on the leash, teaching simple tricks, and house training them. “This was our first time leaving Bear with Tyler and he was amazing! We have always left our dogs in kennels when we left for vacation, but wanted to try using a dog sitter because Bear always came home exhausted and a little stressed. Luckily, we found Tyler! He was very welcoming and obviously loves dogs. After our meet a week before our vacation , I and my family felt completely at ease leaving Bear with Tyler. During our trip, Tyler sent regular updates and pictures showing how great Bear was doing. At no time were we worried or concerned. “Benji seemed to love staying with Chang. He wanted to go back into her house when we arrived to pick him up! Chang was conscientious and very organized about Benji's feeding and walking schedule. And she sent us photos every day to keep us in-touch with our precious pup. Although Chang sometimes watches multiple dogs at once, her house was very clean and organized. I strongly recommend leaving your dog with Chang and we will do the same, the next time we need a dog sitter. Thank you, Chang.”
