I work a full time job outside of pet sitting. I’m gone from 10am-4pm and my off days are Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. My schedule is very flexible, so if there are any issues with my work schedule, it can be moved around. I’m typically gone between 6-8 hours depending on travel time as well. I stay at the client’s house so that way their pets are comfortable in their own home and environment. About: I live in Scottdale but I’m very familiar with ALL surrounding areas. I’m a homemaker, so I’m available practically any time to come offer care to your furry (or not so furry!) loved ones! Currently we have 2 dogs, a purebred 32lb female Siberian Husky & a Designer Breed 15lb female Pomsky. They are both crate trained & house trained. Both are fully registered ESA (Emotional Support Animals) & I take that very seriously as to their training & how exactly I want them to behave. I recently lost my female German Shepherd; & a year prior my male Siberian Husky. My male Siberian was epileptic so I’m experienced in offering meds and know that having them on hand & on time IS A MUST for things of this nature! My shepherd was very elderly (about 14) & required a lot of extra love, care & attention also. So I am also compassionate about animals that need some extra loving. *I offer very basic kitty care. I cannot host cats in my home due to the prey drive of my husky, sometimes she’s ok with them, other times not. *I’ll do feedings for lizards as I have had a few bearded dragons myself as well so I’m knowledgeable here also. (But under no circumstances ask me to care for your snake, or your spider!) ***I offer potty breaks, walks, playtime, feed & water breaks, treat time, medication administration ALL in my standard fee. I lived with and cared for a reactive dog for 13 years, so I know firsthand what it takes to help an anxious dog feel safe, and how to prevent conflict in the first place. All my dogs have been rescues, and I have a soft spot for dogs who need extra patience to warm up. I'm not a certified trainer, but I've spent years learning dog training, body language, and enrichment, and every interaction is rooted in positive reinforcement. I will require a meet and greet with your pet in advance of the first booking so they can become familiar with me, and so I can become familiar with their routine and needs. My schedule gives me plenty of flexibility to be present for your dog, whether that's extra walks, playtime, or just being around for company, and I'm happy to talk through what kind of availability works best for your pet! I work from home which allows me the flexibility to prioritize pet care in a way I wouldn’t be able to with a traditional office. This gives me the ability to keep anxious dogs company, breaks for play time, medication, cuddles or walks when they are needed, not when they can be fit in. I create a calm, secure environment where pets feel safe and comfortable. Whether in my home or theirs, I work on building trust by moving at each pet’s pace and honoring their boundaries. Safety is always my top priority, I supervise pets closely, follow all instructions carefully, and adapt to their unique needs. I keep spaces clean, hazard-free, and ensure pets have fresh water, proper food, and quiet resting spots. For reactive or anxious pets, I use gentle, low stress handling & positive reinforcement or redirecting to help them feel calm and supported. About: Hello! I am a pediatric nurse in Pittsburgh. My primary job allows me to be flexible! I can come for walks and visits during the week. I have been helping out with family dogs all my life! I work full time as nurse, however I work three twelve hour shifts a week so I have flexibility! I can be available during the weekdays while you are at work! About: I have extensive experience with animals of all ages. I have four animals of my own, two dogs and two cats, two younger and two seniors. All of which I have trained since young. I love animals and enjoy taking care of them. I am flexible throughout the week/on the weekend, and will be on my first year of college at WVU. About: I have raised dogs all my life. A few years back I used to rescue and board temporarily until the dogs were nursed back to health. Once the dogs were adoptable we would set up meet and greets to adopt out. I am experienced with many breeds. I used to have a terrier who was diagnosed with diabetes. We had to do injections twice a day and put her on a feeding schedule. I have experience with several breeds starting small to huge! I am currently a stay at home mom. About: I’ve had dogs and cats my entire life! I’ve dealt with roles such as training for younger dogs and extensive care for seniors. I’m comfortable with large dogs and I also have experience administering insulin to diabetic animals. I currently have 2 dogs and 1 cat, so pet care plays a huge role in my life! What I do and where I go fully revolves around my pets, so please expect me to show the same care for yours! My yard is large, but not fenced, so if your dog is a runner please keep that in mind. I have a stream in my yard for your babies that like playing in the water and both of my dogs are very active and playful. My cat however, is not fond of other kitties. If watching your pets in your home, my primary concern is making them feel comfortable and allowing them to burn off some energy while you’re away.
About: As a veterinary assistant for over 3 years and a pre-vet student, I’ve been passionate about animals since I was very little and began pet sitting over 10 years ago. I have experience with many different animals in clinical settings, home, farm and zoo settings. Most of my work experience has been in emergency medicine. I have also enjoyed rescuing and fostering dogs, cats, and exotics. One of my college courses was on dog training, and I have trained my own dogs, birds, and rodents. I’ve also studied exotic/zoo medicine and conservation abroad in South Africa for 4 weeks! I work 6am-5pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and will only have one class M/W/F at 11am once school starts August 19th. I may work some shifts on those days after class. I spend as much time as I can with the pets I care for and make sure to give them love, attention, and exercise just like I would my own animals. They will get lots of belly rubs and cuddles! Depending on how they tolerate it, I can do nail trims and baths if requested. I have baby nail trimmers I can use for the little guys (kittens, birds, other small exotics).
