About: My husband and I are animal lovers in general and dog lovers in particular. We always worry when boarding our own dogs and, now that we've retired, we wanted to provide a "home like" boarding service for other dog lovers. We have 2 rooms dedicated for the dogs to roam free. Sofa for lounging and television or music available during their stay. Bright sunlight and large windows. We have a large kennel that is outside and the dogs are free to come and go through a doggie door in our kitchen. We have many years experience caring for dogs and our family currently includes 2 bichon Frise. They are both peaceful and friendly and love meeting new dog friends. We wanted to provide a reasonably priced animal boarding service close to home. We are located in Hunlock Creek, 25 minutes from Dallas or Wilkes-Barre, 15 minutes from Nanticoke. Drop off time is anytime from 9AM on and Pick up time is by noon or you must schedule another day. If special times are needed let us know. We will also board birds and small pets at a lower rate. Ask us. Please visit us to see our home ! We are retired and available most days full time - check the calendar. All boarders roam free during the day and sleep on floor or in bed you provide at night. Feedings and treats on daily schedule. Daily exercise in yard if good weather. Dogs roam our secured house freely. Will either be on leash or on zip run if in yard. If dogs need to be separated we have a room we use for that purpose. If your dog likes to sleep in kennel please bring with you or we will provide a kennel or cage (extra fee).

Your pet could not be in safer hands. I am currently available for any time of the week or day as I am taking an extended break before my next career venture. Any time of day or night, and any day of the week you need a walk, drop-in or playtime will work with me! My dog has a fenced in yard at my house. I can work with whatever environment your dog has, and love to go on long walks on nature paths or just in town. I love taking dogs to the Berwick dog park or the Warrior trail depending on the season and weather!

About: I was raised in a household with at least 2 dogs at a time, not including the ones that we would foster here and there and I have been pet sitting for 4 years; throughout my time doing so I have meet all types of dogs with a variety of personalities and temperaments. I have worked with great danes to chihuahuas, including (mostly) mutts of different sizes. I have had to deal with very old and sickly pets that required a lot of time and devotion, and I have dealt with very young puppies that required constant watch. Many of the dogs I pet-sit have separation anxiety and/or have a problem with new people, it is not an issue. I have no problem with cleaning up accidents and messes that occur. (I have also cared for cats, ferrets, rats, mini-pigs, various types of bird, reptilians, and tarantulas)

“Our dog Ginger stayed with Sarah for the weekend when we had a family wedding that brought us to the area. Sarah was super quick to respond to all communication which was really nice and made me comfortable. She sent updates, photos and was flexible with timing adjustments. More significantly, Ginger went right up to Sarah and felt relaxed and comfortable —she walked inside without pining for me. Even when I arrived to pick up Ginger, she must have enjoyed her stay as she didn’t rush right back to me.”
About: Hi! I’m Julie. I grew up on a hobby farm surrounded by a menagerie of animals from a young age. Everything from chickens and goats to rabbits, cats, and dogs, and the occasional bit of wildlife, were welcome in my families home. As a high school student I became increasingly involved in agriculture and milked cows and cared for livestock. This turned into a love that led me to college in rural Maine where I earned a degree in Agriculture and Sustainability, all while working on a dairy farm each day. Currently, I homeschool my two children and am blessed with the ability to work from home. We live on a wooded property and have access to a small lake which is boarded by a wooded dirt road. Additionally, we have a small walking trail system directly on our property. We share our home with a Newfie doodle, Arlo, who is 1.5 years old, a Sulcuta tortoise, and a cat that lives under the bed. We have a large red deck with a fenced in space off of this for easy bathroom access and unleashed roaming space for your dog. I work from home and homeschool my children. Our days have built in flexibility and can be arranged to accommodate the needs of any pet staying with us. We enjoy time outdoors, and can often be found working remotely or “out schooling” from our backyard or a hiking trail. In our home, the pets are people too (and we will narrate their thoughts based on their expressions 🤪). Pets are allowed on the furniture and in all rooms. We have a large front porch for slow mornings and evenings that stretch well past sunset. We also have a large deck in the rear which has a fenced area off of it to allow plenty of space for unattended bathroom breaks or unleashed space to roam. My children are well versed in animal care and also understand giving space to a new animal, calm energy, etc. I will always setup a meet and greet prior to booking to ensure everyone feels comfortable and welcome. Medications can be distributed, and special diets can be managed.

It was a beautiful space and I didn't hesitate to leave them in her good hands. Within an HOUR or two of drop-off - we had an unexpected situation when one of our dogs became very stressed and sick due to the new environment. Marian kept me informed right away, was incredibly patient and compassionate and worked with me to come up with the best solution for my dogs. She even transported them to our home and transitioned our booking to drop in visits - which I so appreciated. She was kind, flexible, understanding - even after my dog had multiple accidents in her home - which had never happened before. She reassured us that she was a professional and used to these situations. We were able to proceed with our booked getaway ONLY because of Marians professionalism and kindness and flexibility.
