“I had a fantastic experience with Crystal while she looked after my 9-month-old Snowshoe cat, Mavis, during my spring break. Right from the meet and greet, she knew her stuff. She introduced Mavis to her apartment, and her pet is around the same age, Sushi, and gave us some great tips on helping Mavis settle in. The Blink camera in the room where Mavis stayed was a nice touch, allowing Crystal to check in on her whenever she was out, which was reassuring. About: I have taken care of a variety of pets since I was 14 years old. I grew up around dogs, horses, cats, guinea pigs, turtles, birds of many kinds and my family bred labradors. From XS-XXL, I am comfortable providing care to all! I am able to provide basic care services to high level care (handicapped and special needs patients) for any age range. I am also comfortable administering prescribed medications to pets, including injectable medications. I am able to make almost any schedule work, early mornings and late evenings are not a problem for me— I know having a routine can be very important! I do not plan on pet sitting at my home, but in the event that I do, I do have a fenced in yard that has a separate entrance to my home.

About: I've loved animals of all kinds ever since I can remember and have always had pets while growing up and since, including dogs, cats, parakeets, turtles, rabbits and fish. I can't imagine not having animals as part of my family. We currently have a dog and six cats. My dog, who is part Jack Russel Terrier, was a puppy when we adopted him, so it was necessary to house-train him, which I was able to accomplish in just a couple of weeks. I don't know if it was my technique or just that he was very smart! I recently retired from full-time work and can devote lots of time to my dog & cats. I try to stick to a routine, though, similar to the one I had when I had a job: scooping the litter boxes in the morning & evening and feeding twice a day. My dog was recently diagnosed with diabetes so he requires an insulin injection after each meal, which needs to be very consistently timed. My dog has never been the type to want to run off on his own. We live in the country far back from the road but, because he won't even go outside unless I go with him, a fence or restraint isn't needed. However, I have lived in cities where having dogs on a leash was necessary so I have experience with that - having walked 3 dogs at once at times in the past. I would never let someone else's dog outside without a leash, tie-out, or fenced in yard. My cats stay indoors to keep them, as well as, the birds and other wildlife safe but, if a client's cat is allowed outdoors, I will do as they wish.

She very kindly looked after him and cleaned up after him, and even came in for an extra visit on short notice when we were really concerned. She gave us lots of updates and pictures and became a real friend to our cat—it seems like he has truly bonded with her. We can’t thank Jana enough for her love and care for our cat!”

I will not accept a request without meeting you and your pet(s) first. This gives us an opportunity to go over all your pet’s needs and your questions. Number one question I get - will you be bringing your dog to my home? Sometimes this is out of curiosity, sometimes they like the idea of their pet having a buddy, but usually it is a safety concern. My dog will never enter your home. When I house sit overnight my dog stays with my sister. She is perfectly happy there and I don’t have to split my focus. My job is to focus on YOUR pet! During walks and in general, I do not allow dogs to interact with people or other dogs/pets. This is a big safety concern, as I often know nothing about other people/pets in the area. I do not take those types of liberties with your pets. We will instead turn a corner, cross the street, come back the way we came, or I politely inform them that ‘this is not my dog’, ‘we don’t have time today’, etc.

I have experience with small and large livestock. And have Volunteered time fostering dogs for PAWS in state college. I am often asked about crates - if your dog is fully trained to not use a crate, they will NOT be in a crate at our home. If your dog uses a crate, I ask that you bring that along. I like to know your dogs schedule so that I can keep their life as close to normal as possible. I can't wait to meet your pets! I am home full time - if I am boarding your dogs I will not leave them unattended for long periods of time. If you have specific requests for my schedule, please ask. I’m open and willing to work with anyone. I have a large, unfenced yard. We love to run around the yard with dogs. We also have a long lead to put them out on. We’ll take walks when possible as well.

About: I have been caring for animals since I was a baby. I have had numerous family dogs and just this past summer I rescued and nursed an abandoned kitten. Pets have been involved in my life for more than I can remember and they truly make life better. I am also involved in an organization called Project Paws that works to promote adopting animals and supporting animal shelters. I am a responsible, genuine person and I can promise to do my very best to keep your pets as safe and happy as possible. I am currently a college student so I have the ability to assist in pet care on Monday, and Wednesday after 2, on Tuesday and Thursday before 3 and after 6, and on Saturday and Sunday all day. I can easily crate your pet if needed and I am adaptable in various environments. Being versatile allows me to care for your pets in any circumstance.

About: I’ve taken care of different kinds of dogs for years now. I had two of my own and know how important it is to be able to trust someone to love them like they are their own. About: I have cared for many different types of animals since I was a child. Dogs, cats, bunnies, rats and hamsters. Fostered and lived with many dogs. I currently have dogs and cats. They are the joy of my life especially since the kids (and grand dogs) have grown and moved. Couldn’t imagine life without them. I have two dogs and 2 cats to keep the fur guests company. Lots of play time in the fenced back yard. And snuggles on the couch.
