“I had a fantastic experience with Crystal while she looked after my 9-month-old Snowshoe cat, Mavis, during my spring break. Right from the meet and greet, she knew her stuff. She introduced Mavis to her apartment, and her pet is around the same age, Sushi, and gave us some great tips on helping Mavis settle in. The Blink camera in the room where Mavis stayed was a nice touch, allowing Crystal to check in on her whenever she was out, which was reassuring. Plus, she ensured Mavis got plenty of playtime – she understood Mavis's playful side. I was impressed by how Crystal helped Mavis and Sushi become friends. About: I've been house sitting for friends and family since I was 12. It allowed me to supplement my income and work with the animals that I have loved since a young age. I was a vet tech in high school and during the first few summers in college, gaining small animal medicine and husbandry experience. In addition, I worked at a two different doggy day cares throughout my graduate and undergrad degrees, gaining a lot more experience with dogs and a little bit of dog training. Both of these degrees are also in animal science. I love pets of all kinds and have looked after everything from horses to dogs and cats, to birds. I am new to the area as a recent Penn State hire and don’t have established contacts for dog sitting like I did in the areas that I lived for my degrees. I work full-time but have a fair amount of flexibility to work remotely up to 3 or 4 days a week. If you have a stable wifi connection I will be more available to spend time with your pups although there may still be some days I need to be gone for work for up to 8 hours. I am willing to stay with your pets overnight if that is your preference. I will not be boarding dogs as my landlord does not allow pets. I am respectful of your home and space and treat your pets as I would my own!

About: I have always had dogs growing up since I was a baby. I have been around dogs all sizes from Shih Tzu’s to Saint Bernards. I have currently a pitty who is reactived and been doing class with him. If you need someone to walk, run, watch or play with your dog(s) look no further! I currently work at a before and after school program. Was the program director, but now just work pm shifts. I’m free any time in the morning all the way up to about 1pm and will be busy until about 7 I can’t house sit at my house unfortunately at the moment with currently living situation. I have a yard for my dog to run, outdoor tent for my cats to be outside, and two birds cages for one inside and one outside.

I will always be there with them. I will make sure they are safe. I am free Friday nights, Saturday and Sundays. I do work Monday - Friday. I have a very flexible work schedule. I do work for family. I can do drop offs Monday mornings on my way to work. I can do pick up Fridays when I’m off. I work from home and I live on 10 acres of lovely mountain property. I do not have a fenced yard. I do have 2 outdoor 12X10 kennels set up. I would never let a dog go out potty without me on a leash. I spend about 30 minutes outside with my own dogs every 1.5 hours. I am outside most of the day unless it’s extremely hot or cold. I am with the animals 24/7. If your dogs likes to be outside I can put them in the kennels for extra outside time. If they like to be inside I can leave them inside while I take other dogs pee. I have a Furbo camera installed so I can view them at all times. Must be good with cats.

About: I’ve been a dog owner my entire life and have had experience owning other pets such as geckos, cats, and snakes. I’ve been a pet sitter for a little over two years. My true passion for pet sitting comes from my desire to be accompanied by them, dogs specifically. I work with dogs of all ages, temperaments, and personalities. Dogs of all backgrounds tend to gravitate towards me and I have never had any negative interactions. While studying for my undergrad, I was actually in charge of all the live animal specimens present on the University grounds. Feeding, exercise, and handling/care were done daily, which can explain my comfortability and familiarity with pet care. I currently am home as I finish my masters degree online so my daily schedule is fairly free. I workout and do part-time contract work when I am not doing schoolwork. I’m extremely flexible and will be willing to meet your needs as best as possible. Simply put, I treat the pets like they are my own. I ensure they are met with sufficient attention, exercise, nutrition, and safety while under my supervision. Minimizing stress is my biggest concern (my dog has separation anxiety so I know how it can be). I’ve found it helpful in the past to use my own dog as a bridge between myself and the client’s pet, as his presence tends to build confidence and reassurance.

I can't wait to meet your furry friend! I'm home most of the day, so your pet won't be left alone for long stretches. I absolutely love taking walks so we will be doing plenty of those. If your pet needs a specific feeding or potty schedule, just let me know and I'll stick to it. Our yard isn't fenced, so your dog will go out on leash for walks and potty breaks several times a day. My Dog is super friendly and always up for a new friend. If your pup prefers quiet time or needs a crate to decompress, I can absolutely make that happen as well.
