Highly-rated overnight sitters - Van Wert
“We are so grateful to Soumya for taking such wonderful care of our puppy, Lucky. This was our first time leaving him, and it was also his first time away from us, so we were quite worried. But Soumya and her husband took care of him like their own. Lucky had so much fun and was clearly happy and comfortable. It truly felt like he was with family. Highly recommend 💛🐾”

“This was the first time I used a pet sitting service and it was a very positive experience. Elizabeth was great with my dogs. “My dog loved staying here. Best part was the fenced in yard and the fact that the dogs were allowed on all the furniture (bed, couch). Michaela is very nice and accommodating as well.”
“Kerrie did a wonderful job watching our dog Willow. Our dog came home happy and adjusted back right away! We would book Kerrie again without a doubt!”

“Our overnight stay with Jack & Carrie went perfectly while we visited our son at Dickinson. They were very attentive to Mich and took wonderful care of him getting him settled in and keeping us updated during his stay and sending some photos. We’d love to return sometime when we are back in Carlisle -our son loved the chance to see him too.!”

“Bobbi was amazing and one of a kind. I have no worries when she watched my baby boy. She kept me updated with photos, open communication, and shared videos throughout the few days which made my mama's heart worry less. I will not hesitate to rebook her. I joked that I wanted to stay because of her welcoming, sweet presence. Absolutely genuinely will rebook Bobbi. Chance will be so happy to come play with her 2 little lovely girls again!”

“Michelle is the best! She gave us daily progress reports and pictures. She took care of Papi like family. She even brushed his teeth. Papi is usually afraid of everything and everyone, but warmed up to Michelle and her dog, Emmy, quickly. She gave us such peace of mind while we were away. I highly recommend her and will use her again.”

“Vasumathy is such a loving and knowledgeable dog sitter. She took care of our golden doodle for the weekend and she was absolutely fabulous about all the aspects of dogcare. We will definitely use Vasumathy again for our future vacations!”

About: I have two cats of my own. I’ve had them my whole life. The one is about to be 16 soon and he needs to wear a diaper whenever he’s roaming the house. Both of our cats were saved from the streets from a young age and we cared for them and still have them. I also go to college for animal studies and have kennel duties that require me to clean the cat room where theres like 10 cats in a night room. So, I know how to care for many cats at one time and for cats that need special treatment as well.

“Paul was wonderful! We were looking for a pet sitter last minute and he came through. Followed our instructions perfectly and sent updates including photos and videos with every drop-in visit. I could tell from the videos that my cat loved having him around. Thank you, Paul!”

“Katlyn took excellent care of my sweet cat and also took the time to write out such wonderful report cards for him! It made this homesick pet parent feel so much more secure! We will definitely be having her back!”

“Kerrie is wonderful with my two yellow labs! The boys just love her! She has helped me out tremendously with her availability in a crunch. She takes care of the house and follows instructions closely. I would highly recommend Kerrie K.!”

About: A genuine love for animals, ensuring they receive not only basic care but also personalized attention and enrichment activities. Dedication to making sure pets feel loved and engaged in their owners' absence. Commitment to providing the highest level of care, treating every pet as if it were their own. Pride in maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for pets, including deep-cleaning litter boxes to ensure a pristine and odor-free space. Meticulous attention to following specific care instructions and routines, recognizing that consistency is crucial for a pet's well-being. Reliability, responsibility, and prioritization of the safety and well-being of the pets entrusted to their care. Open and effective communication with pet owners, providing regular updates, including photos and notes, to keep them informed and at ease. Honesty and integrity, observing all relevant laws and regulations related to business operations and animal care.
About: I’ve been a dog owner my entire life and have had experience owning other pets such as geckos, cats, and snakes. I’ve been a pet sitter for a little over two years. My true passion for pet sitting comes from my desire to be accompanied by them, dogs specifically. I work with dogs of all ages, temperaments, and personalities. Dogs of all backgrounds tend to gravitate towards me and I have never had any negative interactions. While studying for my undergrad, I was actually in charge of all the live animal specimens present on the University grounds. Feeding, exercise, and handling/care were done daily, which can explain my comfortability and familiarity with pet care. I currently am home as I finish my masters degree online so my daily schedule is fairly free. I workout and do part-time contract work when I am not doing schoolwork. I’m extremely flexible and will be willing to meet your needs as best as possible. Simply put, I treat the pets like they are my own. I ensure they are met with sufficient attention, exercise, nutrition, and safety while under my supervision. Minimizing stress is my biggest concern (my dog has separation anxiety so I know how it can be). I’ve found it helpful in the past to use my own dog as a bridge between myself and the client’s pet, as his presence tends to build confidence and reassurance.
About: I received my Bachelor's Degree in Animal Studies from Wilson College. I was a Kennel Technician at a boarding facility as well as a doggy daycare for a few years. I am currently a Veterinary Assistant at an Animal Clinic. I enjoy taking care of animals and providing the best care. I work full time during the week, but I am available weekends and can provide pet care during the evenings after work depending on location. Depending on the needs of the animal, I will provide the proper care as per the owners request. I like to know specific details to make everyone feel comfortable.

“Keri was accommodating to a last-minute drop in request which was great! I appreciated her flexibility in working with scheduling conflicts, and she and her partner followed the instructions for my watching my cat, who quickly warmed to them.”

I’ve cared for dogs, cats, geckos, bearded dragons, fish, guinea pigs, bunnies, chickens, and tarantulas, and I know how to handle both the basics and the more unique needs. Tattoos and piercings aside, I’m reliable, responsible, and genuinely love animals. I’m here to make sure your pets feel safe, seen, and well cared for while you’re away—whether that means a walk, tank check, or just some love and attention. I’m a local college student home for summer break so I am flexible and free to meet your needs, from long-term to daily check-ins to hours of play! I am very specific with my interaction with your pets— any instructions, no matter how weird or detailed, I will follow to ensure great care for your pet.

After June 5th I will be available during the summer for days and weekends until I go back to work at the school. At that time I will be available evenings and weekends. I will always communicate with the owner, whether that be sending them photos of their pets, or just by simply updating them on how things are going via text, or phone call!
About: Hello, I’m Destiny! 🐾 Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and caring for them is something I genuinely love. I’m currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Wildlife Biology, which has deepened my understanding of animal behavior, welfare, and the importance of providing compassionate, attentive care to every animal I meet. I grew up around animals and have experience caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities. Whether it’s an energetic puppy who loves adventure, a senior dog who needs extra patience, or a pet who simply enjoys a consistent routine and lots of affection, I take the time to understand their individual needs and make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. As both an educator and animal lover, I bring patience, reliability, and strong attention to detail to every pet I care for. I understand that every animal is unique, and I pride myself on creating a safe, positive environment where pets can feel relaxed and loved while their owners are away. When your pet is with me, they will receive plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and affection. I enjoy spending time outdoors, making walks and adventures fun and engaging, while also respecting the routines and comfort levels that help pets feel at home. ❤️ I know how important trust is when choosing someone to care for your pet. That’s why I provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident knowing your furry family member is happy, safe, and receiving the same level of care I would give my own. My goal is simple: to make your time away stress free while ensuring your pet feels loved, comfortable, and cared for every step of the way. I look forward to meeting you and your best friend! 🐶🐱 Availability: ✨ 🌅🍃🦋 I’m available for morning walks and drop-ins at anytime and am willing to stay overnight, as well as evenings. Weekends are fully open and flexible for walks, playtime, or overnight care! I believe every pet deserves to feel safe, loved, and deeply cared for like they’re in their own little sanctuary. I approach each animal with patience and gentleness, allowing them to build trust at their own pace and always honoring their unique personality. I create a calm, nurturing space where they can relax, play, and be themselves, keeping their routines consistent so everything feels familiar and comforting. From cozy rest spots and mindful walks to soft words and loving attention.

We also have tethering, all pets are supervised at all times. I have 3 toddlers who may accompany me when visiting or taking care of your pet. If your pet is not child friendly, I may be able to work around this. I am a full time stay at home mom and am able to add your fur baby into the mix and adjust to your schedule. I have a large property and three friendly dogs to keep your fur baby occupied. I can easily crate your pet if need be. I am skilled with administration of medications.
About: I'm more than just a pet sitter—I'm a lifelong pet owner with hands-on experience caring for a variety of animals. I currently own German Shepherds, cats, and parrots, so I understand that every pet has unique needs, personalities, and routines. I have experience with: Large, high-energy breeds like German Shepherds. Cats that need patience, gentle handling, and individualized care. Intelligent birds such as parrots, including providing enrichment, fresh food, and recognizing their unique behaviors. I treat every pet like they're part of my own family, focusing on safety, reliability, and keeping them happy and comfortable while you're away. Whether your pet loves to play, cuddle, or simply stick to a routine, I'll make sure they receive the care and attention they deserve. Pet care fits well into my schedule, allowing me to provide dependable and attentive care throughout the day. I have the flexibility to accommodate feeding schedules, walks, playtime, potty breaks, medication administration (if needed), and plenty of one-on-one attention. I understand how important consistency is for pets, and I do my best to keep them on their normal routine so they feel comfortable, safe, and stress-free while you're away. Whether I'm caring for pets in my home or in a client's home, my priority is making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I follow each pet's normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and any special care or medications they require. I take the time to get to know each pet's personality, whether they enjoy lots of activity or prefer a calm environment. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners can have peace of mind while they're away. I'm experienced caring for large dogs, cats, and parrots, and I always treat every pet with the same patience, respect, and attention I'd give my own.
“Last minute reservation. Elizabeth was flexible and communicated quickly whenever I messaged her asking how they were as I am an anxious hover dog mom lol! I felt safe leaving my dogs with her and they came home nice and tired after playing all day :)”
About: I have cared for my family's pets for over 30 years, I love meeting new animals and getting to know their personality! I have experience at every stage of a pet's life, from puppies and kittens to elder pets. I have experience administering mediation, caring to your pet's specific needs, assisting disabled pets, training puppies and crate training. I am dedicated to being a caring and thoughtful pet-sitter. I love animals and can't wait to meet your special friend! I currently have 1 dog and 2 cats. My dog, Zoey, is a 2-year-old puppy that I got at 12 weeks old, so my puppy training skills are fresh! I also have 2 cats, Archie and Theo, who are brother cats from the same litter. I've had them since they were kittens. Zoey grew up with the cats, so she is well trained with cats and she is very well behaved. Zoey and the cats get along with other animals very well. They are sweet, loving pets that play together and nap side-by-side. I work from home full time, so I am always at the house. I am very flexible to whatever your pet's routine is. Whatever they need, I can incorporate it into my day. At booking, I will provide a questionnaire and you can advise me of any needs or requests for your pet's routine, and I will make their routine a part of mine! In my home, I provide pets with several comfortable areas for them to lounge and sleep in, with bedding and blankets. I also provide several toys and chew toys that are usually left out for them to play with (unless requested not to). Meals are kept on schedule and any mediation or vitamins are administered on-time. Water is always filtered and clean, changed daily (or use a continuous running system). Safety is my top priority. I want to ensure that your pet has a safe and relaxing time during their stay, I will provide a separate room for your animal if needed or requested, with their own bedding and play-area. I have several rooms in the house that are not used, so I keep this space reserved for your pets. I will collect your vet information at booking and take your pet to their vet if necessary; I also am a member of the local Dauphin County Animal Hospital, which I can use if needed for emergencies. I will maintain communication with you and check-in daily with photos; I am also open to take any inquiries, if you would like to check-in on your pets.
“I am lucky to have had Vasumathy help me with pup-care. The pics and video Vasu sent me Day #1 showed me a happy dog. Day #2 confirmed it. My little guy was making his trademark excited noises from the car as we approached Vasu's house. Care included indoor play with toys, nice long walks, birdwatching from the window, visits upstairs with Vasu's husband, and, of course, meals and treats. TY so much Vasu (and Rajesh) for giving Bodhi such terrific care while I was at work. I felt totally at peace during his stay with you. :)”

“This was the first time using Josie as a sitter. I was nervous about leaving Charli with someone that I had never met before. However, after reading her other reviews my worries lessened. Josie kept me posted throughout the day with notes and pictures which also lessened the anxiety. I hope to be using Josie as a sitter again in the near future.”

“AMAZING ! my fur baby had so much fun. He almost didn’t even wanna leave. Also was such a last-minute booking on my end. Very thankful that you guys were able to accept if I could rate 10 stars I would will be rebooking !!”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs - a Dalmatian pupy, a Doberman from puppy to adulthood, various labs, and now, a yorkie. I love taking them on long walks and enjoying the weather. I saw my soul pet through dementia and early stage heart failure and now have an active puppy- I’m used to all levels of activity for dogs and administering medications. I’m not afraid of cleaning up messes and am happy to take time to meet your dog’s unique needs. I work from home and have a flexible schedule, so I can fit your pup’s needs into my day. I have a puppy of my own so i understand the importance of routine and adhering to a schedule. I love walks and am not afraid of a little weather - there’s no such thing as bad weather, just inappropriate clothing for it. Rain, snow, or heat won’t bother me! In your home or mine, I can address whatever needs you have for your pups. I do not have a fenced yard, but I have a tether and use that or a leash. Dogs are not allowed outside without a leash or tether at my house. I’m most comfortable with dogs being leashed until I know their recall abilities with me. The health and safety of your pet is of the utmost importance to me!
About: Hello! Justin and I have both had all types of pets our entire lives. Dogs, cats, birds, fish and even a few reptiles! Justin is the son of a veterinarian and has had experience with many types of animals. Our daughters have never not shared a home with a furry best friend and are both nurturing animal lovers. We currently share our home with a very lovable hound mix pup (Finn) that we adopted from a local rescue at 4 months old. We also adopted an adult rescue kitty (Lewis) in the spring of 2022. Lewis and Finn are best buddies! Finn’s mission in life is to befriend everyone he meets, especially dogs!! He’d love to be your pups BFF while staying in our home. We have a gated deck that leads to a fenced in pup play area to safely and leisurely enjoy the fresh air and sunshine on nice days. We enjoy taking frequent walks in our very low traffic rural neighborhood. Our family would love to provide your pup with a loving, safe retreat while you enjoy a guilt free getaway knowing your best friend is being well taken care of and treated like part of the family. Caring for pets is my full time job so I can accommodate your pups needs and give him lots of attention throughout the day and night. I am the primary care giver and Justin fills in when I need to run an errand or have an appointment. Our home is very puppy proofed because our doggy can be mischievous. Our kitty has full run of the lower level of our home but he does come up and interact with everyone.
“She was amazing. My older girl has bad anxiety leaving me but she loved being with Kayla! And she was so amazing with my puppy whos still potty training and testing boundaries. In every single photo she sent they looked so happy. She was patient and kind. Shes super chill and easy to talk to / book with and she always offering a solution to fit my needs for a sitter no matter how last minute. I would 110% recommend her to anyone who needs their pups watched!!”

About: I grew up taking care of pets for neighbors and family, and have had many of my own. At home now, I have our dog Kona and a bearded dragon named Norbert, plus two kids. I'm comfortable with caring for all dogs and cats of all sizes and ages. I'd love to send you photos and updates if you would like so you know how things are going while you are away. I can't wait to meet your furry friend! I'm home most of the day, so your pet won't be left alone for long stretches. I absolutely love taking walks so we will be doing plenty of those. If your pet needs a specific feeding or potty schedule, just let me know and I'll stick to it. Our yard isn't fenced, so your dog will go out on leash for walks and potty breaks several times a day. My Dog is super friendly and always up for a new friend. If your pup prefers quiet time or needs a crate to decompress, I can absolutely make that happen as well. I will go over your dogs preferences when I get a chance to talk with you. I'm more than happy to make accommodations to fit your pets needs.
“David is very patient and caring, great petsitter for your dog, He listens to your detailed instructions for doggie daycare and I'm sure for boarding as well. My Jovie got lots of exercise in fenced in backyard and very nice neighborhood with sidewalks to walk your dog during the day and evening. I had no worries leaving him at his house, sent me pictures and kept me up-to-date on everything.”

“Melanie and Doran couldn’t have been more perfect!! They were so kind and made my dog feel right at home. They were super attentive and gave lots of updates and pictures which made my day! I am so grateful for this help! My pup is pretty anxious and he settled right in!”
