“I had a fantastic experience with Crystal while she looked after my 9-month-old Snowshoe cat, Mavis, during my spring break. Right from the meet and greet, she knew her stuff. She introduced Mavis to her apartment, and her pet is around the same age, Sushi, and gave us some great tips on helping Mavis settle in. The Blink camera in the room where Mavis stayed was a nice touch, allowing Crystal to check in on her whenever she was out, which was reassuring. Plus, she ensured Mavis got plenty of playtime – she understood Mavis's playful side. I was impressed by how Crystal helped Mavis and Sushi become friends. They hit it off after a little supervised playtime, which made me feel even better about leaving Mavis with her. What genuinely set Crystal apart was her communication. She kept in touch throughout my trip, sending updates and adorable pictures of Mavis. It was so reassuring to see Mavis happy and well taken care of while I was away. About: I’ve always had family animals that I’ve adored and that got my foot into working in rescue! I’ve work with extra small to extra large dogs, a lot of cats and some other species. I feel very comfortable with behavioral differences in different animals. I’ve worked along side very talented vets and techs that have taught me a lot about medical care, as well. I work part time at home with a dog and two cats. I take physical and mental enrichment very seriously for all animals. Any animal I’m caring for comes first everyday. A tired dog is a happy dog. I have friendly animals at home, a large crate if needed and a separate room set up for shy animals to warm up to the other animals. “As others here are saying, Ruth was *really* great--my somewhat shy, standoffish cat quickly and visibly warmed to her (she had a very gentle, low-key way of introducing herself to him). It was a relief to have her checking in on him. As to logistics: she was extremely quick and precise in answering messages, and very patient and flexible with the multiple times I had to tweak my booking request (because of unforeseen travel changes on my end). The kitchen was cleaner than when I left, and Ruth also went out of the way to bring trash and recycling containers off the street, something I hadn't asked her to do but appreciate. As to keeping this skeptical little cat company: she was very perceptive; I would genuinely trust her if there were an emergency of basically any kind. She put him at ease and got him to eat (something he sometimes is reluctant to do when stressed); she must have been a very reassuring presence. I also appreciate her detailed messages and several photos in which he's rolling on his back looking fairly pleased by things. About: I've helped to take care of our family cat for the 14 years he was with us and I now take care of my own two cats, Bo and Diego who are both about 3 years old. Some of the tasks I do regularly and semi regularly for them are scooping their litter box daily, refreshing their water daily, clipping their nails, cleaning their ears, administering medication when needed, deep cleaning their litter boxes, and of course playing with them and giving them lots of love! Like a good kindergarten teacher, Rillan makes sure each dog plays nicely, separates those that need a time out and also gives individual attention. About: Growing up my family had a miniature schnauzer and we were lucky enough to have her in our lives for 18 years! I would walk her every day, administer tick and flea medicine, teach her tricks, make eating her food fun as she got older, took her to the groomer, and of course gave her lots of attention and playtime. About: First and foremost, I’m an animal lover and love spending time with my own and other pets! I am a licensed mental health therapist who works from home so I have a lot of flexibility in my daily schedule for drop-ins and walks. I have experience working in veterinary medicine as a veterinary social worker. I deeply appreciate pets as members of our family and believe in the extraordinary power of the human-animal bond. My own pets include a 3 year old Akita mix who I got when she was only 8 weeks old so I’m well versed in puppy training, especially with stubborn dogs. Similarly, I have experience with reactive dogs. I also have two cats - Sprout, 10 and Binky, 7. I think cats are misunderstood and love building relationships with each unique cat personality I meet! I work from home and have a lot of flexibility for morning, mid-day, or evening drop-ins and walks. My schedule changes every day. I have experience with reactive dogs and am a pro at avoiding other pets on walks. Safety is always front of mind so I will always keep a watchful eye to make sure they don’t get into anything they shouldn’t.
About: I grew up with 2 dogs and now I have a 1 year old chocolate lab puppy who just graduated from training. I am very familiar with training strategies as I just went through them including potty training, leash training, etc. I would love to extend love and care to your babies as well! I am a Penn State student who is local to State College. I have a light schedule and even have a puppy of my own so I am taking care of pets all day everyday! I am currently taking a class remotely and am able to spend all day with your pet as I have a pet of my own that I am spending time with!
About: I have worked in an animal shelter for almost 7 years. I was the kennel manager, I did the daily cleaning and walking of the dogs and cats and have experience in medicating them. I'm currently not working so I have a pretty flexible schedule, any time and days of the week work well for me. please feel free to ask me any questions I have tons of experience and know a lot about handling and caring for animals. I have 2 very loving cats but your pets would not be meeting them.

About: I’ve always had family animals that I’ve adored and that got my foot into working in rescue! I’ve work with extra small to extra large dogs, a lot of cats and some other species. I feel very comfortable with behavioral differences in different animals. I’ve worked along side very talented vets and techs that have taught me a lot about medical care, as well. I work part time at home with a dog and two cats. I take physical and mental enrichment very seriously for all animals. Any animal I’m caring for comes first everyday. A tired dog is a happy dog. I have friendly animals at home, a large crate if needed and a separate room set up for shy animals to warm up to the other animals. We have a large (not fenced) yard but we take many long walks a day to keep up with physical needs!
