I was a bit nervous about leaving her while I went out of town for my 50th high school reunion, but Melissa and Dan put me at ease right away. From the start, my plan was to have Leia stay with them for two nights, and I couldn’t have chosen a better place. They have a lovely fenced yard and several dogs of their own, which created the perfect environment for Leia to safely and gradually get used to being around other dogs. Dan works from home, so I knew she was getting plenty of attention and supervision throughout the day. They kept me updated with several photos and messages showing how Leia was doing, which I really appreciated. It was clear that she was settling in well and getting comfortable in their home and with their dogs. I work part-time in HVAC, attend night classes Monday through Thursday from 6–10 PM, and serve on the weekends at Olive Garden. When I’m not working or studying, I love spending time with pets — I’ve always enjoyed being around animals and would love the chance to care for and spend time with them. I believe safety, trust, and a positive environment are very important. I always want to make sure pets feel comfortable, secure, and cared for. About: I have had a dog in the home since I was two years old. I have dog sat many dogs. From Maltese to Rottweilers. No dog is too big or too small. If your dog needs medication or diaper, it’s no problem. I am a teacher so my summer is open. I am available any day to care for your dog. I would prefer walking in the morning or in the evening so that it is not too hot for your dog during the hot summer days. But I am open to any time. I will follow any directions left by the client. If you require your dog be kenneled during specific times of the day/night I can do that. If your dog needs medication administered, I got you! If you have a cat in the house also? No problem.

From the start, my plan was to have Leia stay with them for two nights, and I couldn’t have chosen a better place. They have a lovely fenced yard and several dogs of their own, which created the perfect environment for Leia to safely and gradually get used to being around other dogs. Dan works from home, so I knew she was getting plenty of attention and supervision throughout the day. They kept me updated with several photos and messages showing how Leia was doing, which I really appreciated. It was clear that she was settling in well and getting comfortable in their home and with their dogs. When I picked her up, she was happy, relaxed, and seemed to have genuinely enjoyed her little “vacation.” I highly recommend Melissa and Dan for dog sitting.
