About: Although we are new to the area, we are definitely not new to caring for dogs. We recently purchased the well-known dog kennel in Smithsburg and are in the process of restoring it. Parts of the kennel are already fully functional, and we’re excited to begin welcoming dogs while we continue improving the property. One of the things I’m most proud of is the therapy work I did with my dog. I trained and certified her as a therapy dog, and for 10 years we volunteered together in hospitals and nursing homes. That experience actually inspired my career path, and I went on to become a certified occupational therapist. My sweet therapy dog has since passed away after a long and wonderful life. Dinner is around 6 PM, followed by a calm evening inside. We finish the day with a final potty break and check-in before bedtime around 9 PM. My goal is to give dogs a peaceful farm stay with plenty of space to move, fresh air, and a consistent routine so they feel comfortable and relaxed while they’re away from home I understand how much trust it takes to leave your dog in someone else’s care. My in laws live on an island in the Caribbean and whenever we visit we care for the many stray animals that are on the island! About: I have vet assistant experience and i am in college to become a vet nurse! I love all fur babies and would love to walk / pet sit yours! I have experience pet sitting dogs, cats, bunnies, and chickens. I work Monday-Thursday full time at a vet clinic. I am available Fridays-Sundays most of the time. I am also a full time vet tech student doing Purdue's Veterinary Technician Distance Learning program. I own two cats right now and I treat them like they are my children. About: Hello, I’m Kirsten. I have been actively dog sitting for the last 5 years in and around thurmont and the surrounding areas. (Mount airy, woodbine, Frederick, smithsburg, Hagerstown. etc) I do both overnights in your home and boarding opportunities in our home. I can work from home most days which allows a very flexible schedule. I am willing to accommodate for what ever needs are present and will make sure your pet is well taken care of. About: I’ve been a life time animal lover! I grew up with two dogs, a German Shepherd and a Westie. I currently live on a 300 acre farm with 9 cats. We have a guest house where I will board your pet, so no need to worry about any interaction with my current pets. I can offer a relaxing atmosphere and all day care on weekends along with morning and afternoon care on week days. I can also board or do drop-in visits for fish, hamsters, or horses. I can take crate trained dogs anytime during the week but could only provide potty breaks every 6-8 hours. We have 300 acres to go for walks or chase balls! My husband and 9 cats live in the main house. Our cats don’t mind other animals but I can keep your pet away from the cats if you prefer. As a 15 year high school teacher, I am very trustworthy, authentic, and kind. I admit to being a bit of a “crazy animal person” as I try to pet every animal I see! I can be trusted with your animal for an extended time or just an afternoon walk! I can also board hamsters or horses.
About: I’ve helped care for pets of my own and my family since I can remember. I adopted 2 dogs and 2 cats of my own almost 8 years ago now. I absolutely adore my fur babies and helping others care for theirs brings me so much joy. I also have now taken on chickens and fish as well, so I have a variety of experience. I’m currently a SAHM homeschooling my oldest and caring for my youngest. I enjoy animals of all kinds, they are my passion and would love to share that with others. Being a SAHM gives me more availability to do drop ins, walks, and care for critters. About: I grew up with cats, dogs and horses, and have been taking care of them since I was 10 years old. I have my own lab mix and a cat. I make sure that the animals I watch are well cared for, safe, fed, entertained, and exercised. I love all animals and really enjoy working with them. I am available anytime to watch pets in my home. I do work some evenings for up to 4 hours and weekends for up to 6 hours. At my home I have one dog and a cat that will be able to keep your pet company. My pets get along very well with other animals. I have a yard, a large field across the street, and a dog park near by I can take dogs to if allowed.
