Alyssa came for a meet & greet visit during the week before the weekend so she could meet the girls, see their environment & understand their food schedule & medication dosing schedule for Misty. I’m Mags (Rover requires me to use my legal name) and I love all animals I have been passionate about dogs ever since I was a child but because experienced working with dogs and cats (and some bunnies) while working for the Humane Society of Memphis and Shelby County. I was a veterinarian assistant for one year and then became an adoptions Manager for three years. This was the most fulfilling experience of my adult life, being able to help animals and the community daily. I recently lost my closest companion, Xander, about a month ago. He was 13 years old and I had him since he walked into the humane society at two months old. Through him I gained even more experience with aging dogs, medical care and many behavioral changes as he aged. While using positive reinforcement training we navigated 6 military moves, life adaptions to aging and the introduction of two kittens. I will take all this experience and use it to provide the same amount of love an attention for you furry family members as I did for Xander. I am currently employed part time and have many days free as well as can stay over night or board animals in my home. I always make sure to keep my client's homes clean and organized, and pay special attention to any extra tasks I'm giving, such as watering plants (I have dozens of plant babies!), changing the temperature, emptying dehumidifiers, and retrieving packages. About: I have taken care of all types of animals sense I was about 10. I went to vet tech school and got my degree in small and large animal. I currently do stay at home with my children and I am just looking to still be able to help/take care of animals. I love all types of animals big or small! I am a stay at home mom so my schedule is very free and flexible, I will be able to care for your animal 24/7 with walks, going outside to play and or just snuggling on the couch. I can do pretty much any type or care for your animal! Boarding, walks or just play dates. All animals in my house will be loved like they are my own!
About: My love for dogs began at a very young age, nothing can make me happier. I assisted my mom in running her kennel for many years, (we had 6 of our own) i was able to learn a lot from that and even got familiar with delivering puppies and working with dogs on behavioral issues before they were placed into their permanent homes. At 18 i got a job working as a kennel technician at a local pet shoppe, after showing my hard work and dedication i was given their assistant manager title! and i now own 2 dogs of my own, Everest & Copper. I am always willing to see if i can make something work out! i have a job but consistent hours can be a struggle within my work place. I truly believe that its all up to the owner, every dog is very different and has their own schedule and way they like to do things ! communication and listening to my clients is very important to me in order to make sure I'm respecting wishes and making their pup comfortable and happy as possible during our times spent together.
