Personalized care for your dog or cat - Starbrick

“Rachel was great! And Heidi was happy while with her despite never meeting Rachel before. It warmed my heart to see her at pickup go back and forth between Rachel and our family for hugs and pets.”

“Alli was a big help with Zoey! She made her feel right at home with her time, care and attention :) We had great communication and she was very flexible when we made a few changes due to our travel plans.”

About: I've been caring for animals my entire life and truly treat every pet like family. I have experience with dogs of all sizes and personalities, as well as cats, and I'm comfortable with feeding, administering medications if needed, walks, playtime, and giving plenty of love and attention. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to know your furry family member is safe, happy, and well cared for while you're away. I currently have a 1 year old Labradoodle, a 12 year old Golden Retriever and a cat, so I'm used to managing different pet needs and routines. Whether your pet is energetic and loves to play or prefers quiet cuddles and companionship, I'll make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. I'm dependable, attentive, and will keep you updated with photos and messages so you can enjoy peace of mind while you're away. My goal is to make your pet feel at home and give them the same care I'd want for my own. I currently stay at home with my 11 and 9 year old for the summer but am a nurse by trade and work remotely and sometimes as a private caregiver. My schedule is very flexible 🙂 I have a 2 acre lot with lots of room to run. I use a wireless fence. All of my animals and extremely friendly and love other animals

“I felt very comfortable leaving our 2 cats in Lisa’s care while we were on vacation. I appreciated the detailed reports of how our cats were doing while we were away. I would definitely trust Lisa with our cats again in the future!”

About: I’m a lifelong animal lover with over 30 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats. I’ve worked part-time for veterinarians and independently managed a veterinary kennel on weekends, where I was responsible for daily care, feeding, medications, exercise, and closely monitoring each pet’s health and comfort. I have extensive experience with senior pets, and senior dogs hold a special place in my heart. I’m attentive, patient, and very comfortable following special routines, administering medications, and noticing subtle changes that might signal a problem. When I’m dog walking or house sitting, I focus on consistency, calm energy, and making sure pets feel safe and cared for in their own environment. I treat every animal as if they were my own and aim to give pet parents complete peace of mind while they’re away. As a retired VP of marketing and advertising, I maintain a flexible schedule so I can prioritize your pet’s needs. I’m available for daytime walks, extended stays, and can often accommodate last-minute requests. I often split my time between Warren, PA, and Cleveland, OH, so I accept bookings in both areas. Basically, I go (or stay) where I'm needed. Safety and trust are at the core of my care. I'll follow your pet’s routine, provide close attention to their well-being, and treat your home with care and respect.

About: I’ve been caring for pets for [40+], from energetic puppies and curious kittens to senior pets who just want a comfy cuddle and a slow walk. Growing up with dogs and cats taught me how important it is to give each animal the patience, love, and attention they deserve. I have experience with: • Daily walks, playtime, and exercise for high-energy dogs 🐕 • Administering medications (oral and topical) when needed 💊 • Providing gentle care and comfort for senior pets ❤️ • Keeping feeding schedules consistent and clean-up stress-free 🐾 Whether it’s long walks, belly rubs, or just quiet company, I always treat pets like family and make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. As a retired law enforcement female, pet care doesn’t feel like a task—it’s something I truly enjoy and look forward to every day. Animals make my heart smile. 😊 When pets stay in my home - I do have two beagle pups. Huckleberry and Callie-Lilly. I will make sure your fur baby feels comfortable and safe by keeping to their usual routines—regular walks, feeding schedules, and plenty of playtime. I provide cozy spaces for rest, lots of attention, and supervision so they always feel at ease. When I care for pets in a client’s home, I treat it with the same respect as my own. I follow all instructions closely—whether it’s feeding, administering medications, or keeping up with exercise. I also love spending quality time with pets, giving them affection, play, and companionship so they don’t feel lonely while you’re away. No matter where I’m caring for them, I focus on creating a calm, happy environment where pets feel loved, safe, and cared for.
