About: As a veterinary assistant for over 3 years and a pre-vet student, I’ve been passionate about animals since I was very little and began pet sitting over 10 years ago. I have experience with many different animals in clinical settings, home, farm and zoo settings. Most of my work experience has been in emergency medicine. I have also enjoyed rescuing and fostering dogs, cats, and exotics. One of my college courses was on dog training, and I have trained my own dogs, birds, and rodents. I’ve also studied exotic/zoo medicine and conservation abroad in South Africa for 4 weeks! I work 6am-5pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and will only have one class M/W/F at 11am once school starts August 19th. I may work some shifts on those days after class. I spend as much time as I can with the pets I care for and make sure to give them love, attention, and exercise just like I would my own animals. They will get lots of belly rubs and cuddles! Depending on how they tolerate it, I can do nail trims and baths if requested. I have baby nail trimmers I can use for the little guys (kittens, birds, other small exotics).

About: Hi Loving Furparents, My lifelong passion is interspecies communication, animal care & behavior, ecology, and environmental conservation. I have grown up communicating, training/learning, caretaking, and translating for animals my entire life, and I continue to follow my passion for animal care, rehabilitation, conservation, and helping others learn to listen and communicate with animals. I have recently lost my soul dog and partner of nearly 16 years to osteosarcoma. I have experience learning life lessons our senior friends teach us; to slow down, smell the wildflowers, enjoy the little things in life, lead with empathy, lend a helping hand to one another, and be grateful for the moment we have together. I have experience with caretaking during mobility issues for both animals, using help-em-up harnesses and wheelchairs. Additionally, I have awareness and understanding of training needs when the human is afflicted with chronic illness and mobility impairments, such as helping the animal to learn and be mindful of unsteadiness, fall prevention, etc. My current SDiT and I are working on counterbalance, DPT, crowd guarding, behavior interruptions, and some preliminary scent work. Additional Background of Experience; I grew up in the area with a variety of species throughout the years, from cats & dogs to horses, rodents, fish, chickens & guinea fowl to turtles, etc. This experience came with interspecies management, learning to hand-rear animals, helping animals learn core life skills, assess and rehab injury, hospice care, etc. Later, I completed a multidisciplinary degree from WVU with concentrations in Wildlife Management and Conservation Ecology. At WVU, I completed curriculum including a Service Dog Training course where the dog I worked with (Gretel) graduated the following year to become a certified therapy dog at Chestnut Ridge. Additional courses included Animal Behavior, Equine Hoof and Limb, Equine Assisted Therapy, and Exotic Animal Medicine, among others. Since graduating, I have compiled formal experience working with both domestic animals, wildlife and protection of their habitat. I had the privilege to work abroad in Botswana, Africa at game reserves where we were able to rehabilitate animals, provide game drives, supplemental feeding etc., and interned at Mokolodi Nature Reserve in Botswana, Africa, caring for animals in rehabilitation. I currently work full-time, which unfortunately limits my availability to primarily evenings and weekends at this time. Well-behaved, socialized dogs may be able to join during office work days. I am considering transitioning to full-time animal training, should it be feasible, which may allow for additional availability in the future. Additionally, I am navigating chronic illness after long covid through schedule modification and mindful movement during caretaking. Thank you for your understanding schedule limitations during this transition. Please communicate with me your dogs needs i.e.; whether your pet has separation anxiety, medical needs or food allergies, usual routines that make them feel safe, enrichment or husbandry that helps positively stimulate them mentally and emotionally, triggers to be mindful of/avoid, whether they have off leash recall or there are chase drive trigger concerns and they must stay leashed at all times, and anything else you feel is relevant so we may collaborate on their care plan to provide them the best support. I do have a large crate available for dogs that are most comfortable with crate training when it is necessary to leave them at home. Our geriatric cat Fluffy lives in the home with us (please alert me to dogs that have not been socialized with cats), there is a rescue parrot in the household, and I have a ~55 lb rescue and SDIT who is very friendly and loves having someone to play and run around in the yard with. She was a family member to my geriatric dog with mobility concerns before his passing, and she has experience with older dogs and cats.

About: I have grown up with cats and during late middle school years I have took care of my grandparents cats by providing food, water, and entertainment while they went on vacation. I have volunteered at my local animal shelter to entertain and walk the dogs, and recently have had experience house sitting a dog and two cats for two weeks with providing water every day, proper scheduled food, keeping the litter cleaned three times a day and as needed, and took the dog on walks every day to keep her active as well as making sure the cats never got bored. I’m a WVU freshman who is currently working towards majoring in Animal and Nutritional Sciences to pursue a dream job as a veterinarian. I am hoping to gain more experience with your beloved furry friends and a little extra cash in-between my semester breaks! Unfortunately, I do not provide care at my personal residence, but as long as you leave your pets with me I’ll treat them as my own, proving them fresh water every morning, keeping up with the scheduled feeding schedules, and making sure they always have clean litter and that your dogs are walked multiple times a day. About: My husband and I are both full time DNP students allowing us to be at home 6 days a week. We have cared for our 3 year old corgi together, but have both had family pets previously. We are skilled in medications administration and emergency care for your fur baby! This is a child free, cat free and smoke free home. Daisy, our corgi, loves to play and make new friends. We are currently full time DNP students that allows us to be at home full time Sunday through Thursday. We are awake from the hours of 6am until 10pm. Potty breaks are able to have every 2-4 hours. Feeding schedules are based on your fur baby’s needs, however our dog eats twice a day once at 6am and again at 6pm. In our neighborhood we have a walking path that we frequently walk our dog with a leash on. Our dog loves to play with other dogs. Our home is tidy and nothing is left on the floors or within reach that could harm an animal. Our house is not located near any high traffic roads. Our back yard is positioned against an open field. Unless your dog is highly trained with good recall skills, I will not let them run free in the backyard for fear of them running away. Dogs are family in our home!

Both are fully registered ESA (Emotional Support Animals) & I take that very seriously as to their training & how exactly I want them to behave. I recently lost my female German Shepherd; & a year prior my male Siberian Husky. My male Siberian was epileptic so I’m experienced in offering meds and know that having them on hand & on time IS A MUST for things of this nature! My shepherd was very elderly (about 14) & required a lot of extra love, care & attention also. So I am also compassionate about animals that need some extra loving. *I offer very basic kitty care. I cannot host cats in my home due to the prey drive of my husky, sometimes she’s ok with them, other times not. *I’ll do feedings for lizards as I have had a few bearded dragons myself as well so I’m knowledgeable here also. (But under no circumstances ask me to care for your snake, or your spider!) ***I offer potty breaks, walks, playtime, feed & water breaks, treat time, medication administration ALL in my standard fee. Anything else, just ask! I’m very flexible & willing to work out most things if we can come to an agreement suitable for both sides. Can’t wait to meet the furry parts of your family.🐾 Pretty much available whenever. I can usually work out something that’s suitable if I am not. Reach out with any questions! I am currently available 24/7 on the weekends. Monday and Friday, I am unavailable from 10-1, but free the rest of the day. I have plenty of time for all sorts of furry friends. I currently live with two kittens who are accustomed to dogs, but they can be confined to their room if there is concern. I do not have a yard where I am, but I do have plenty of safe walking areas around me for exercise and pottying. I am respectful and resourceful when doing overnights in your home, and I will make sure your pet feels comfortable in either your home or mine.
About: I have grown up with cats and during late middle school years I have took care of my grandparents cats by providing food, water, and entertainment while they went on vacation. I have volunteered at my local animal shelter to entertain and walk the dogs, and recently have had experience house sitting a dog and two cats for two weeks with providing water every day, proper scheduled food, keeping the litter cleaned three times a day and as needed, and took the dog on walks every day to keep her active as well as making sure the cats never got bored. About: As a veterinary assistant for over 3 years and a pre-vet student, I’ve been passionate about animals since I was very little and began pet sitting over 10 years ago. I have experience with many different animals in clinical settings, home, farm and zoo settings. Most of my work experience has been in emergency medicine. I have also enjoyed rescuing and fostering dogs, cats, and exotics. One of my college courses was on dog training, and I have trained my own dogs, birds, and rodents. About: Hi Loving Furparents, My lifelong passion is interspecies communication, animal care & behavior, ecology, and environmental conservation. I have grown up communicating, training/learning, caretaking, and translating for animals my entire life, and I continue to follow my passion for animal care, rehabilitation, conservation, and helping others learn to listen and communicate with animals. I have recently lost my soul dog and partner of nearly 16 years to osteosarcoma. Since graduating, I have compiled formal experience working with both domestic animals, wildlife and protection of their habitat. I had the privilege to work abroad in Botswana, Africa at game reserves where we were able to rehabilitate animals, provide game drives, supplemental feeding etc., and interned at Mokolodi Nature Reserve in Botswana, Africa, caring for animals in rehabilitation. I currently work full-time, which unfortunately limits my availability to primarily evenings and weekends at this time. Well-behaved, socialized dogs may be able to join during office work days. I am considering transitioning to full-time animal training, should it be feasible, which may allow for additional availability in the future. Additionally, I am navigating chronic illness after long covid through schedule modification and mindful movement during caretaking. Thank you for your understanding schedule limitations during this transition. Please communicate with me your dogs needs i.e.; whether your pet has separation anxiety, medical needs or food allergies, usual routines that make them feel safe, enrichment or husbandry that helps positively stimulate them mentally and emotionally, triggers to be mindful of/avoid, whether they have off leash recall or there are chase drive trigger concerns and they must stay leashed at all times, and anything else you feel is relevant so we may collaborate on their care plan to provide them the best support. I do have a large crate available for dogs that are most comfortable with crate training when it is necessary to leave them at home. Our geriatric cat Fluffy lives in the home with us (please alert me to dogs that have not been socialized with cats), there is a rescue parrot in the household, and I have a ~55 lb rescue and SDIT who is very friendly and loves having someone to play and run around in the yard with. She was a family member to my geriatric dog with mobility concerns before his passing, and she has experience with older dogs and cats.
