“I had a fantastic experience with Crystal while she looked after my 9-month-old Snowshoe cat, Mavis, during my spring break. Right from the meet and greet, she knew her stuff. She introduced Mavis to her apartment, and her pet is around the same age, Sushi, and gave us some great tips on helping Mavis settle in. The Blink camera in the room where Mavis stayed was a nice touch, allowing Crystal to check in on her whenever she was out, which was reassuring. About: I've been house sitting for friends and family since I was 12. It allowed me to supplement my income and work with the animals that I have loved since a young age. I was a vet tech in high school and during the first few summers in college, gaining small animal medicine and husbandry experience. In addition, I worked at a two different doggy day cares throughout my graduate and undergrad degrees, gaining a lot more experience with dogs and a little bit of dog training. Both of these degrees are also in animal science. I love pets of all kinds and have looked after everything from horses to dogs and cats, to birds. I am new to the area as a recent Penn State hire and don’t have established contacts for dog sitting like I did in the areas that I lived for my degrees. I work full-time but have a fair amount of flexibility to work remotely up to 3 or 4 days a week. If you have a stable wifi connection I will be more available to spend time with your pups although there may still be some days I need to be gone for work for up to 8 hours. I am willing to stay with your pets overnight if that is your preference. I will not be boarding dogs as my landlord does not allow pets. About: I have two cats of my own. I’ve had them my whole life. The one is about to be 16 soon and he needs to wear a diaper whenever he’s roaming the house. Both of our cats were saved from the streets from a young age and we cared for them and still have them. About: Please know that my prices are what they are because rover has a service fee!!! I have taken care of other peoples dog since I was 16. I dog sit, I help walk, I have even gone to peoples house just to give their dog attention while the owners were at work. I work full time as a dog trainer so I do have that experience. I have also dog sat dogs that needed to be on medication and had to have a specific times. I have taken care of multiple senior dogs as well as puppies! I have flexible during the day and at night, I can easily walk, feed, give meds, or even give lots of attention! While studying for my undergrad, I was actually in charge of all the live animal specimens present on the University grounds. Feeding, exercise, and handling/care were done daily, which can explain my comfortability and familiarity with pet care. I currently am home as I finish my masters degree online so my daily schedule is fairly free. I workout and do part-time contract work when I am not doing schoolwork. I’m extremely flexible and will be willing to meet your needs as best as possible. Simply put, I treat the pets like they are my own. I ensure they are met with sufficient attention, exercise, nutrition, and safety while under my supervision. Minimizing stress is my biggest concern (my dog has separation anxiety so I know how it can be). I’ve found it helpful in the past to use my own dog as a bridge between myself and the client’s pet, as his presence tends to build confidence and reassurance.

About: I grew up taking care of pets for neighbors and family, and have had many of my own. At home now, I have our dog Kona and a bearded dragon named Norbert, plus two kids. I'm comfortable with caring for all dogs and cats of all sizes and ages. I'd love to send you photos and updates if you would like so you know how things are going while you are away. I can't wait to meet your furry friend! I'm home most of the day, so your pet won't be left alone for long stretches. I absolutely love taking walks so we will be doing plenty of those. If your pet needs a specific feeding or potty schedule, just let me know and I'll stick to it. Our yard isn't fenced, so your dog will go out on leash for walks and potty breaks several times a day. My Dog is super friendly and always up for a new friend. If your pup prefers quiet time or needs a crate to decompress, I can absolutely make that happen as well.
