About: Although we are new to the area, we are definitely not new to caring for dogs. We recently purchased the well-known dog kennel in Smithsburg and are in the process of restoring it. Parts of the kennel are already fully functional, and we’re excited to begin welcoming dogs while we continue improving the property. It’s a place many people in the community already know, and we feel lucky to be able to carry on its history. Dogs have always been a big part of my life. I grew up with them and honestly can’t remember a time when I didn’t love being around them. That same love has followed me into adulthood. Over the years I’ve naturally become the neighborhood go-to pet sitter. Friends, neighbors, and family have trusted me with their pets for years, and I always care for them the same way I care for my own dogs — with patience, attention, and lots of affection. One of the things I’m most proud of is the therapy work I did with my dog. I trained and certified her as a therapy dog, and for 10 years we volunteered together in hospitals and nursing homes. That experience actually inspired my career path, and I went on to become a certified occupational therapist. My sweet therapy dog has since passed away after a long and wonderful life. She was incredibly special to me. I’m now starting that journey again with my new puppy, Merango, and hope to continue therapy work in the future. Right now I’m taking some time away from my occupational therapy work to focus on renovating and restarting the kennel. It’s something I’ve always dreamed about doing, and I’m excited to bring new life to a place that so many people in the community already know. I also have experience caring for senior dogs and dogs with medical needs, including giving medications like insulin injections. Our property has large outdoor fenced runs that give dogs plenty of space to move around and enjoy the fresh air in a quiet farm setting. injections. I’m currently focused on renovating and restoring the kennel property, which allows me to be home most of the day and provide consistent supervision and care for the dogs staying with us. We are early risers in our home and typically start the day around 7 AM with potty breaks and breakfast. Mornings are usually spent outside enjoying the property — going on walks around our 20-acre farm or spending time in the fenced runs while I do morning chores. Around lunchtime everyone, animals included, usually settles in for a quiet rest period. I check that everyone has fresh water and food if needed before nap time. In the mid-afternoon we head back outside for more activity. Depending on the dog, this may include running in the fenced fields, exploring the property on a guided walk, or simply relaxing in the fresh air. Dinner is around 6 PM, followed by a calm evening inside. We finish the day with a final potty break and check-in before bedtime around 9 PM. My goal is to give dogs a peaceful farm stay with plenty of space to move, fresh air, and a consistent routine so they feel comfortable and relaxed while they’re away from home I understand how much trust it takes to leave your dog in someone else’s care. When I first started using Rover for my own dogs, I remember feeling nervous too. I always appreciated sitters who kept me updated, so I make a point to do the same. I’m happy to send photos and updates so you can see how your dog is doing and feel confident they’re happy and well cared for. On our property, dogs have access to spacious individual indoor/outdoor kennel runs where they can relax comfortably. We also have several large fenced areas where dogs can safely run, play, and explore. About: I have experience in caring from all types of animals from hermit crabs, lizards and fish to cats, dogs rabbits horses and everything in between lol. About: I am currently doing Rover part-time, I’m also working 2 other part-time jobs, however, for one of them I get to choose my own schedule. If given enough notice (usually a week) I can take off the days you’d need from one of my jobs, and then just schedule my other around it! I’ve had and taken care of dogs/cats since a young age. I love all animals and caring for them! Ive taken 2 pre-vet classes and would love to have a job working with animals full-time, no matter the job! As of now, I am caring for my 2 cats and leopard gecko! I only work Thurs-Sun, never more than 8 hours + my other job I can pick my own schedule! I am free all other weekdays to be able to take care of your pets! I am no longer able to do house sitting because I now have a baby to take care of, but if they are good with kids and cats, your pet is more than welcome to come stay with us! I prefer having the option to crate in case I need to go out for a bit, but I have taken care of pets who didn’t need one! At one point, we had a household full of animals ranging from a rambuctious German Shepherd to a teeny tiny Leopard Gecko and Corn Snake. We've had pets for a long time, and they always gave us structure. They are and have always been a part of our family, and we tend to take care more of them than ourselves. I live in an apartment now, but I am willing to come to the owner's home for daily walks, pet/house sitting if they're at work or on vacation, play with the animals and give them exercise, and also available to stay overnight if needed.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs ever since I was a kid, and I have experience with taking care of many different breeds, young and old. I love animals and will do everything I can to make yours comfortable and happy. Work is currently slow, so I have the time to give your pets all the attention they need. I am available anytime throughout the week and most weekends. I have two friendly dogs that would love to keep yours company. I do not have a fenced yard, but walk them on my private lane often, and take them to the dog park. My pets get fed twice a day, but I can feed yours as often as you’d like - they also have some treat throughout the day.

I enjoy walking leash trained dogs, playing with them and cuddles as well as head boops & cuddles with cats too. About: In my opinion, animals are the best thing in the world! Especially when they become pets. I am a nurse at Johns Hopkins Hospital, but I have always had other passions. (Mount airy, woodbine, Frederick, smithsburg, Hagerstown. etc) I do both overnights in your home and boarding opportunities in our home. I love the stark difference in pet personalities and learning how each of them likes to be cared for. We have a large back porch and yard with a fenced area for sniffing around. If your pet requires extra exercise, we have a quiet neighborhood to walk around in. We have a dog bed in almost every room, space for you to bring a crate, or an area that can be closed off overnight if necessary or requested. There are few places in the house that the dogs don't have access to out of an abundance of safety. Otherwise, they are welcome to make themselves at home! They are very attentive, they do a meeting before the drop off day, they truly want to make sure my furbaby will feel welcome and safe. They asked all the right questions, food, timing, snacks, what is he allowed or not to do and so on. They have a backyard which is great for my chocolate lab to play and they have a playful dog that was perfect for Rocco. We even got a drawing from Rocco, from one of the kids, that made me cry…Happy cry! They are all super sweet. Love their vibe and respect. I recommend them 100%.
