About: I was raised as a child with pets - fish, cats and of course dogs. Growing up we had 2 Irish Setters a Chihuahua and multiple cats. As an adult I started off with just having multiple cats and then began to have dogs enter my life again. I had a very loving Pit Bull for a short period of time and a few years later I adopted a Boston Terrier who is now 13 years old. In addition to my senior dog, I now also have a 1 ½ year old Boston and 1 senior cat. I never had children so these are my kids and my extended family. I’m Mags (Rover requires me to use my legal name) and I love all animals I have been passionate about dogs ever since I was a child but because experienced working with dogs and cats (and some bunnies) while working for the Humane Society of Memphis and Shelby County. I was a veterinarian assistant for one year and then became an adoptions Manager for three years. This was the most fulfilling experience of my adult life, being able to help animals and the community daily. I recently lost my closest companion, Xander, about a month ago. He was 13 years old and I had him since he walked into the humane society at two months old. Through him I gained even more experience with aging dogs, medical care and many behavioral changes as he aged. While using positive reinforcement training we navigated 6 military moves, life adaptions to aging and the introduction of two kittens. I will take all this experience and use it to provide the same amount of love an attention for you furry family members as I did for Xander. I am currently employed part time and have many days free as well as can stay over night or board animals in my home. I have a very flexible schedule and am happy to work with any client’s schedule as needed. I currently only have two cats in my home, so I’m able to provide boarding for cat friendly animals. I have a fenced in back yard and am usually not gone from the house for more than four hours. About: I have always had pets growing up and continue to keep dogs as an adult. I have raised and trained a variety of breeds and ages. I just moved to the area, and my dream job would be playing with dogs all day. I will need most weekends for family, but during the week I am available. May be able to make arrangements for weekend. I would love to take your fur baby for a walk. I have 2 other dogs in my home. I can easily crate or separate dogs as necessary.
About: When I was in high school, I fostered over 20 dogs with my mom from a rescue she was apart of. During this time, I was able to interact with dogs of all ages and breeds. I learned how to read dogs body language better, while making them feel comfortable. dogs have and will always be a HUGE part of my life. I am currently job searching so I have a lot of free time at the moment to help out others who may not have as much availablity to be with their loved fur babies! Upon any given instructions, I will do whatever the client needs for the safety of their animal. Paying attention to thorough details will allow for a smooth visit!
About: A little bit about me: I am a new graduate RN looking to make some extra money on the side! I am an all around animal lover and have spent many summers & many winter breaks pet/house sitting throughout nursing school. I have had my fair share of animals throughout my life. We always had dachshunds growing up, and I learned to love their stubbornness alongside their undying charm, I have had what seems like a million cats … I thought I could save them all… at one point I had 12 of them! lol I know, very crazy cat lady. I spent lots of time & money nursing cats back to health & have successfully found many of them very loving homes, I can happily say I am down to 2 cats! One of which has asthma, so I am experienced in giving inhalers, even to cats who really do NOT want it. My other cat has lots of anxiety, so she requires two different medications to control that so I can also give pills. I also have a corgi who is 3 years old, she is the cutest, naughtiest, most complex little thing I have ever met. She has a seizure disorder and requires three different medications every 12 hours. Anyways, the point is I have lots of experience! And I would love to have the opportunity to help take care of your fur babies & give you piece of mind while you go on vacation or have to be away from home. I am willing to take care of animals full time so all day and all night I am available as long as I know in advance. I prefer to watch animals at clients home if possible. I am very focused on making sure animals are safe and happy. I am able to walk dogs safely as well as feed and bathe them or take them outside to use them bathroom as needed. I am willing to do drop ins or stay in the home for long periods of time if needed.
