About: I brought our two cats, Chili and Lok-Lok, all the way from China, but I grew up with dogs in my family and love both. I’ve taken care of my family’s and friends’ dogs and I heard about this app so I thought it might be fun to give it a try. Whenever I get called on to dog-sit for my friend here in Pittsburgh I like to go to the dog parks near the South Side river or jog along with them, rain or snow, and socialize with other dogs. Looking forward to meeting yours! I’m a PhD student at the University of Pittsburgh so summer and winter breaks are relatively free, and usually I’m only “working” 2-3 half days per week. I have to do a lot of reading and thinking so getting out of the house is a good way to take a break and process. I have a fenced yard where I do some gardening and let our cats out every day to chase bugs and birds. My friends have stayed over with their dogs and I just move the cats to the second floor and keep them there while the dogs take the first and the yard.

About: I don’t have much experience with dogs if I’m being honest. The only experience I had with a dog was with a baby pitbull and that was for about a year. That being said, despite my lack of experience I am willing to learn. My love for animals in general is why I am open to learning. “For years I’ve struggled with not having a support system in place to feel at ease when going on vacation with my dog. I may not have a close family to do so but I do have Kasey and Alyssa. These two watched my bulldog Frank and did an amazing job. Cared about all my concerns and over protective dog dad issues. I went to pick Frank up after almost a week away and he loved it so much it was like they were his new family. I have some work to do now to win my dog back over lolol. “Sara was perfect. I booked her last minute for the first time and she did an amazing job caring for my dogs, one of which is a senior dog that needs special care. I was very anxious to leave her but Sara was very reassuring and communicated very well. She didn’t miss a beat giving my dog her medications and sent plenty of updates. When I picked my dogs up, I could just tell they were comfortable and had a great stay. Absolutely plan to use Sara again.”
