My wife is Japanese, and when I randomly found Yuiko I felt a real sense of destiny — especially since our trip was to Japan! We’re never without our dog, Mr. Spike Peeps Pasquale, but bringing him to Japan was too complicated because of all the regulations. I honestly wouldn’t have been able to take this trip if it weren’t for Yuiko. She sent us 10–15 pictures a day, and as a result I never once had a single concern during the entire two weeks. She and her kids showed so much love and attention to Mr. Spike Peeps Pasquale — it was amazing. She even picked him up and dropped him off! I truly can’t imagine ever using another dog sitter again. About: I have always felt comfortable caring for cats especially for the strays I used to see in my neighborhood, it wasn’t until 2 years ago where I adopted my first cat (Michu) and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. I was always skeptical because I was very allergic to them growing up but overtime my body became tolerant to different pets. Every day I’m still learning something new about my cat but I have learned how to gain the trust of them simply by being calm and caring with them.

About: Aside from growing up with a dog and always around friends and family members' pets, I have also been a pet-sitter for family and neighbors since I was 15. About: I’ve been taking care of pets all my life, as I’ve come from an animal loving family! My boarding rate is higher than my other rates because I only ever board one pet at a time. Your pet will be getting individual, dedicated care in a safe environment! I work remotely, so am home most of the day. I am available for regular care of your pet and the flexibility of my schedule allows me to take breaks as needed! My home is pet and smoke and pet free, and the back patio has six foot high cement walls. I have a pet gate on my staircase for when I leave the house, so no fear if your furry friend likes to scrounge in clothing or laundry! Additionally, the entrance to my house has a secondary door which is always closed, so there’s no chance of accidental pet breakouts while entering or leaving the house.

“John took amazing care of our 7.5 month old puppy Rufus. This was Rufus's first ever overnight stay away from us, and was in preparation for a longer stay coming up in November. We definitely feel reassured that Rufus is in the best possible care staying here. Given his young age, we needed someone who could provide Rufus with a pretty high level of attention and John really delivered on that! He sent us lots of photos and detailed updates about how Rufus was getting on, and was patient and understanding about Rufus's puppy behaviours. We appreciated that he even worked on some training techniques with Rufus during his stay. When we picked him up, Rufus seemed very torn about whether to stay with John and Parker or to come home with us! Thank you John!”
“Above and beyond! Kanade took such excellent care of my dog, and she looked truly happy in the copious amount of pictures that were provided. Kanade asked questions for clarification of care, send a daily recap of how my dog was, and completely put me at ease during my trip. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a dogsitter.”
