About: I’ve had dogs and cats most my life and have cared for many friend’s and neighbor’s pets. I love dogs, cats, and even bunnies and will care for yours like they were my own. About: I don’t have much experience with dogs if I’m being honest. The only experience I had with a dog was with a baby pitbull and that was for about a year. That being said, despite my lack of experience I am willing to learn. My love for animals in general is why I am open to learning. I will still provide the same love, care and affection for a dog as I would a cat. My daily and weekly routine is very open for pet care. I am currently on maternity leave so I have lots of availability throughout my days. I treat them like their family and not strangers or “just for the money type of thing”. If the client has special requests as far as how they would want their pet taken care of, I would follow those requests and update the clients along the way.

About: I’ve taken care of small animals since I was a kid. I was always the student who volunteered to take the class pet home for extended breaks from school. I have a large crate in case your dog is crate-trained, but as I work from home they will just be hanging with me on the couch or dog bed - wherever they are more comfortable. My previous dog who has now crossed the rainbow bridge was reactive and dog-selective, so I am very experienced on keeping your dog safe while on walks and reading their body language. They will never be off-leash in an un-fenced area, and I will happily avoid any triggers that you make me aware of - just let me know!

About: Hi, I am Mamie (I have gone by Mamie since birth but am technically named Mary) and I am a lifelong pet person, and professional sitter. I am relatively new to Rover specifically, but am in my 40's and have cared for other people's pets for over 15 years, both here in Pittsburgh and in Seattle where I am originally from. I am fully privately insured for pet sitting and dog walking and carry broadened property damage coverage, animal bailee coverage and veterinary reimbursement coverage. I do two check ins a day with lots of pictures, and am a quick responder to messages (my average response time is 6 min). My most consistent feedback is that i am very communicative and professional, and that owners feel secure and never worry about their pets well-being when they are with me! My mother was a vet tech and I grew up rescuing many animals, and continued that tradition into adulthood, so I have ample experience in a multitude of pet types and situations I work as a housekeeper around the Pittsburgh area from about 7am-3pm mon-thursday, so will not be available in the home or for potty breaks during those hours. The absolute longest I would leave a pet during a house-sitting is 8 hours on those days, but quite often it's only 4-6 hours that i am working. All other outings/errands would be less than four hours, tops, but usually only about an hour. I am comfortable with more or less any pet, from rodents to lizards and I am not squirmish about even the creepy crawlies and slithery noodles. I can and have given almost every kind of medication there is, including subcutaneous injections, and am comfortable doing so with care and compassion and confidence. I am clean, responsible, and trustworthy. I will only take jobs with a meet and greet beforehand, and you can get a feel for my vibe and professionalism at that time, but I am sure you will like me and feel comfortable having me in your home. As a housekeeper I am used to going into strangers homes and having a high level of integrity and care for their space and belongings. I also am very clean and fastidious. I keep things looking like I wasn't there as much as possible, and will clean litter boxes daily and change water bowls daily and do deep cleans of water fountains 1x a week. I work as a housekeeper from 7am-3pm mon-thursday around the greater Pittsburgh area. If you have multiple dogs who need round the clock supervision and you book me at least three weeks before the sitting start date, than we could work that out and I could block out my housekeeping schedule for that time and just be available for the sitting job (my rates will be increased in this situation as I am priced for my current availability, not constant care and being unable to make my normal wages during the sit). In clients homes I am respectful, clean, tidy, responsible and trustworthy. I mind my business and am not judgemental. I will spend lots of time loving and socializing your pets, and I set alarms and try to keep potty breaks frequent to avoid accidents and less stress.

My goal is to provide dependable, personalized care that fits seamlessly into your pet's daily routine. I cannot bring furry animals to our home as I have an older, reactive dog. If you give me instructions, I will make sure I meet their needs because every pet is different.
About: What truly sets me apart is my passion for animals and my future career goals. I plan on working with dogs professionally in the future, so caring for animals is something I genuinely care deeply about and take seriously. I’m active and love spending time outdoors, so I enjoy keeping dogs engaged with walks, playtime, and attention while making sure they feel safe and comfortable. I’m also patient, dependable, and focused on giving every dog loving, attentive care. I’ve been around dogs my whole life and have experience caring for many different pets and breeds through both my own animals and my family’s dogs. Being around a variety of personalities, sizes, and energy levels has helped me become very comfortable understanding each dog’s individual needs and routines. I recently graduated from college and currently have a very open and flexible schedule while I’m in between jobs. During this time, I’m excited to continue working with dogs because caring for animals is something I genuinely enjoy and hope to pursue professionally in the future as well. Since my availability is very flexible, I’m open to pet care any day of the week and can dedicate plenty of time, attention, and care to each dog. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and comfortable as possible. I have experience caring for friends’ and family members’ pets during overnight stays in their homes, so I understand the importance of maintaining feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and giving pets plenty of attention and companionship while their owners are away. I always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for in their familiar environment, while also keeping the home clean, secure, and respected.
About: I took excellent care of my dog who just passed away at the age of 16. I walked him every day. I gave him lots of affection and care. I currently do not have a job. I’ll have plenty of time to give your dog love and affection. My dog lived a long healthy life. I can give them plenty of care by playing with them and petting them. I can also take them for walks when they need that.
