“This was our first time leaving Bear with Tyler and he was amazing! We have always left our dogs in kennels when we left for vacation, but wanted to try using a dog sitter because Bear always came home exhausted and a little stressed. Luckily, we found Tyler! He was very welcoming and obviously loves dogs. After our meet a week before our vacation , I and my family felt completely at ease leaving Bear with Tyler. During our trip, Tyler sent regular updates and pictures showing how great Bear was doing. At no time were we worried or concerned. About: I have loved and cared for animals my whole life. I currently have three dogs and one cat of my own and have always grown up surrounded by animals. Since I was 13 I have cared for neighbors and friends pets where I have gained experience with playful puppies, big breed dogs, and giving medication to senior pets. I also have experience volunteering at animal shelters and have been exposed to many different personalities from all types of pets! I am currently studying biology at a local pittsburgh college where I have classes in the afternoon. For the most part my schedule is pretty flexible and I am available mornings, late afternoons, and evenings! Two years ago I rescued my dog, Stanley, who is a 24 lb terrier mix. He was abused and took a very long time to warm up, but after a lot of patience and love he’s now thriving and the best boy. About: I’ve owned, trained, and taken care of dogs for 26 years. I’ve had a Dachshund, Beagles, Rottweiler, and have fostered - and trained - a German Shepard, two Pit bulls, Husky, and currently a Penkingese. The German Shepard came to me from a friend who was rescuing him but couldn’t train him properly so I spent almost 2 months with him - trained him how to walk properly on a leash, stop nipping, and to become a follower rather then a pack leader. I then returned him to my friend (who I can give contact info so you can ask directly) who still has him to this day. My Rottweiler was the first dog that I had living on my own and within a month she was potty and crate trained, I trained her to walk properly OFF the leash, and even trained her to only sit in one specific spot in the car (passenger side backseat). She unfortunately passed away before my kids were born and it wasn’t fair to adopt dogs with the zero free time babies give you. My kids are now older and since I work from home, I’m excited to have dogs back around. Everyone (including dogs) that enters my home is treated like family. I’m a very hands on parent and that translates to all levels of care - whether it’s a pet or kid. I personally walk twice a day (typically by myself) so your dogs will be engaged and exercised. If you have any questions, feel free to ask - I’m very big on transparency. I work full time from home but own my own business. Due to this, I don’t have a fixed schedule or designated breaks or lunches, I can start and stop whenever I want or need to. Your dogs will never be interrupting or waiting on me for whatever they might need. I have a home with a good sized yard. Since I’m home 99.9% of the time, there really is no need to crate (unless for whatever reason you require that for sleeping or some other situation). They can sleep with me and sit on furniture (again unless you don’t want that due to the rules in your home and those rules will be followed and respected here). I’m home throughout the entire day as I work from home. He/she will be engaged & never alone while here. We also have a young dog who is sweet with all. We have long leashes and a fairly private yard, are frequently outside and would never leave them unattended. We treat all those who enter just as family.

When I take my family dog outside, we go on walks with a leash and harness. With my own dogs we let them outside in our fenced in backyard. Either way they get lots of room to run and have fun!

“This was our first time leaving Bear with Tyler and he was amazing! We have always left our dogs in kennels when we left for vacation, but wanted to try using a dog sitter because Bear always came home exhausted and a little stressed. Luckily, we found Tyler! He was very welcoming and obviously loves dogs. After our meet a week before our vacation , I and my family felt completely at ease leaving Bear with Tyler. During our trip, Tyler sent regular updates and pictures showing how great Bear was doing. At no time were we worried or concerned. Whether I have to be away for vacation or some other reason, when Cricket is with Natasha and her family I know I don't need to worry about her. Our dog had some special needs and she managed to listen to all of our laundry list of instructions. Plus, her dog Griffin is so well tempered and got along so well with our dog. They played every day. I picked my dog up to spend about an hour with him and when I brought my dog back to Krista’s, his tale was wagging like crazy just to get back into her home! And my dog has pretty intense separation anxiety! Krista is a true “dog person” and has the intuition and experience to take great care of your pup.”
