About: As a veterinary assistant for over 3 years and a pre-vet student, I’ve been passionate about animals since I was very little and began pet sitting over 10 years ago. I have experience with many different animals in clinical settings, home, farm and zoo settings. Most of my work experience has been in emergency medicine. I have also enjoyed rescuing and fostering dogs, cats, and exotics. One of my college courses was on dog training, and I have trained my own dogs, birds, and rodents. I do have a large crate available for dogs that are most comfortable with crate training when it is necessary to leave them at home. Our geriatric cat Fluffy lives in the home with us (please alert me to dogs that have not been socialized with cats), there is a rescue parrot in the household, and I have a ~55 lb rescue and SDIT who is very friendly and loves having someone to play and run around in the yard with. She was a family member to my geriatric dog with mobility concerns before his passing, and she has experience with older dogs and cats.

We are currently full time DNP students that allows us to be at home full time Sunday through Thursday. We are awake from the hours of 6am until 10pm. Potty breaks are able to have every 2-4 hours. Feeding schedules are based on your fur baby’s needs, however our dog eats twice a day once at 6am and again at 6pm. In our neighborhood we have a walking path that we frequently walk our dog with a leash on. Our dog loves to play with other dogs. Our home is tidy and nothing is left on the floors or within reach that could harm an animal. Our house is not located near any high traffic roads. Our back yard is positioned against an open field. Unless your dog is highly trained with good recall skills, I will not let them run free in the backyard for fear of them running away. Dogs are family in our home!

Once the dogs were adoptable we would set up meet and greets to adopt out. I am experienced with many breeds. I used to have a terrier who was diagnosed with diabetes. I have lots of time, love, and a nice facility for them. I currently work part-time, I am away 2 1/2 hours in the morning and again 2 1/2 hours in the afternoon. I am a bus driver and off for the holidays, weekends and summer. I have very strong 10 x 10 kennels set up outside with a 10 x 30 run. And I have a heated and air-conditioned building that will allow me to house 10 pups at a time. I have cots, puzzle feeders, and lots of toys and space to play.

I have experience walking, nail trimming, administering medication, and assisting with mobility issues. I love all animals and would happily welcome yours into my home. I am looking to provide dog walking/quick visit services on weekdays after my work, and boarding services on weekends when I’m off. While in my care, your pet will have my diligent attention and care. I have a big yard for running and playing. About: As a veterinary assistant for over 3 years and a pre-vet student, I’ve been passionate about animals since I was very little and began pet sitting over 10 years ago. I have experience with many different animals in clinical settings, home, farm and zoo settings. Most of my work experience has been in emergency medicine. I have also enjoyed rescuing and fostering dogs, cats, and exotics. One of my college courses was on dog training, and I have trained my own dogs, birds, and rodents. I’ve also studied exotic/zoo medicine and conservation abroad in South Africa for 4 weeks! I work 6am-5pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and will only have one class M/W/F at 11am once school starts August 19th. I may work some shifts on those days after class. Depending on how they tolerate it, I can do nail trims and baths if requested. I have baby nail trimmers I can use for the little guys (kittens, birds, other small exotics).

I have grown up communicating, training/learning, caretaking, and translating for animals my entire life, and I continue to follow my passion for animal care, rehabilitation, conservation, and helping others learn to listen and communicate with animals. I have recently lost my soul dog and partner of nearly 16 years to osteosarcoma. I have experience learning life lessons our senior friends teach us; to slow down, smell the wildflowers, enjoy the little things in life, lead with empathy, lend a helping hand to one another, and be grateful for the moment we have together. I have experience with caretaking during mobility issues for both animals, using help-em-up harnesses and wheelchairs. Additionally, I have awareness and understanding of training needs when the human is afflicted with chronic illness and mobility impairments, such as helping the animal to learn and be mindful of unsteadiness, fall prevention, etc. My current SDiT and I are working on counterbalance, DPT, crowd guarding, behavior interruptions, and some preliminary scent work. Additional courses included Animal Behavior, Equine Hoof and Limb, Equine Assisted Therapy, and Exotic Animal Medicine, among others. Since graduating, I have compiled formal experience working with both domestic animals, wildlife and protection of their habitat. I had the privilege to work abroad in Botswana, Africa at game reserves where we were able to rehabilitate animals, provide game drives, supplemental feeding etc., and interned at Mokolodi Nature Reserve in Botswana, Africa, caring for animals in rehabilitation. I currently work full-time, which unfortunately limits my availability to primarily evenings and weekends at this time. Well-behaved, socialized dogs may be able to join during office work days. I am considering transitioning to full-time animal training, should it be feasible, which may allow for additional availability in the future. Additionally, I am navigating chronic illness after long covid through schedule modification and mindful movement during caretaking. Thank you for your understanding schedule limitations during this transition. Please communicate with me your dogs needs i.e.; whether your pet has separation anxiety, medical needs or food allergies, usual routines that make them feel safe, enrichment or husbandry that helps positively stimulate them mentally and emotionally, triggers to be mindful of/avoid, whether they have off leash recall or there are chase drive trigger concerns and they must stay leashed at all times, and anything else you feel is relevant so we may collaborate on their care plan to provide them the best support. I do have a large crate available for dogs that are most comfortable with crate training when it is necessary to leave them at home. Our geriatric cat Fluffy lives in the home with us (please alert me to dogs that have not been socialized with cats), there is a rescue parrot in the household, and I have a ~55 lb rescue and SDIT who is very friendly and loves having someone to play and run around in the yard with. She was a family member to my geriatric dog with mobility concerns before his passing, and she has experience with older dogs and cats.

About: I’ve had dogs and cats my entire life! I’ve dealt with roles such as training for younger dogs and extensive care for seniors. I’m comfortable with large dogs and I also have experience administering insulin to diabetic animals. I currently have 2 dogs and 1 cat, so pet care plays a huge role in my life! What I do and where I go fully revolves around my pets, so please expect me to show the same care for yours! My yard is large, but not fenced, so if your dog is a runner please keep that in mind. I have a stream in my yard for your babies that like playing in the water and both of my dogs are very active and playful. My cat however, is not fond of other kitties. If watching your pets in your home, my primary concern is making them feel comfortable and allowing them to burn off some energy while you’re away.
About: I have extensive experience with animals of all ages. I have four animals of my own, two dogs and two cats, two younger and two seniors. All of which I have trained since young. I love animals and enjoy taking care of them. I am flexible throughout the week/on the weekend, and will be on my first year of college at WVU. I am looking for this to be my main source of income, so I am willing to dedicate as much time and effort as necessary. I am only available to care for clients’ pets in their own homes.
