We discovered before we dropped him off the first morning that our group would be eating dinner about 3 miles from the sitter's home. To pick him up at 4:30, return him to the B&B, and then drive back to dinner venue would have added about 15 - 18 miles of driving in somewhat heavy traffic. I am the primary care giver and Justin fills in when I need to run an errand or have an appointment. Our home is very puppy proofed because our doggy can be mischievous. Whatever they need, I can incorporate it into my day. At booking, I will provide a questionnaire and you can advise me of any needs or requests for your pet's routine, and I will make their routine a part of mine! In my home, I provide pets with several comfortable areas for them to lounge and sleep in, with bedding and blankets. I also provide several toys and chew toys that are usually left out for them to play with (unless requested not to). Meals are kept on schedule and any mediation or vitamins are administered on-time. Water is always filtered and clean, changed daily (or use a continuous running system). Safety is my top priority. I want to ensure that your pet has a safe and relaxing time during their stay, I will provide a separate room for your animal if needed or requested, with their own bedding and play-area. I have several rooms in the house that are not used, so I keep this space reserved for your pets. I will collect your vet information at booking and take your pet to their vet if necessary; I also am a member of the local Dauphin County Animal Hospital, which I can use if needed for emergencies. I currently am home as I finish my masters degree online so my daily schedule is fairly free. I workout and do part-time contract work when I am not doing schoolwork. I’m extremely flexible and will be willing to meet your needs as best as possible. Simply put, I treat the pets like they are my own. I ensure they are met with sufficient attention, exercise, nutrition, and safety while under my supervision. Minimizing stress is my biggest concern (my dog has separation anxiety so I know how it can be). I’ve found it helpful in the past to use my own dog as a bridge between myself and the client’s pet, as his presence tends to build confidence and reassurance.

About: I have had 8 years of experience dog sitting, hosting, walking and staying at others homes for dog sitting. I love dogs and as I think cats are cute, I am allergic and unfortunately cannot watch them. I love dogs of all sizes and ages! I love boys or girls! I enjoy going on car rides and checking out new areas for the pups to take a walk. I have had dogs my whole life. I currently have a pittie/lab mix and his name is Bentley. He loves to cuddle, play with other dogs, and is sweet as can be! I currently work full time hybrid. I work from home tuesdays and Friday’s and off on weekends. These are the best days for me to have a dog with me since I’m home. I work a 8-4 job. I care for them by spending time, making sure they are fed, walked, and loved on. I have my dog who enjoys chilling or playing with the dogs depending on what the other dog prefers. Pet care fits with my routine as I am hybrid for work and only live 10 mins away from my job. It is easy for me to run home over lunch to check on the dog I’m watching or if close by take out. I make time to spend with the dog I am watching and that they feel comfortable in my home. While dogs are in my home, I treat them like my own. They are able to sleep with me, be on furniture, etc. I take them for walks to get exercise. With parent permission I make ice cream treats (blueberries & Greek yogurt frozen together) and give them to the dog. I make sure they feel comfortable, are fed and have plenty of water. If a parent would like me to administer meds or give a bath, I am happy to do so!
About: I have taken care of dogs since I was around 5. My brother was very active in the dog community and often took me with him. I took care of his Rotwilliers whenever he vacationed and had several dogs of my own. I have been a dog sitter for friends and family my whole life and have taken care of dogs for my nanny families in the past! I am currently a part-time nanny, but fit in dog care in my off time! I only work two full days a week, Monday and Thursday, so I have plenty of time for my puppy friends! I love to help out other dog parents and want to make dog care my full-time job. When caring for a dog in another home, I can easily follow instructions you leave for me. I can walk the dogs on a leash, take them to dog parks, or play with them in my own yard. If a dog has to come home with me, I have a large home with plenty of yard for them to run and play in. I have small crates at my own home if needed. I have experience with giving dogs medication due to my own senior dogs and my French bulldog who has had allergy issues.
About: I live in Port Trevorton, Pennsylvania. I worked in a Boarding and Grooming Facility for the last 2 years, so I have experience with all breeds and personalities, senior pets and puppies/kittens. I do not believe that there is an aggressive breed. I am efficient in administering medicines properly, including insulin and other injectible medicines. I currently have 7 dogs and 7 cats. (I have a diabetic cat with kidney failure, so I have experience with difficult medical conditions.) I've had dogs and cats for 8+ years. I live on a farm so I'm always on the go. I love playing fetch or tug of war, going for walks or anything else active, but I also enjoy lounging on the couch with my pets as well. My favorite breed is the Labrador Retriever, but I love all the other breeds as well!

My dog is quite skidish about new dogs, new environments and new people. This was no challenge for Cheryl.
