About: I’m Alex and I currently have one pitbull so I am A 24/7 dog mom! I love hiking and being out in nature. I have a high energy personality that is perfect for wearing any pup out. Growing up my parents owned dogs of all sizes and personalities (Dalmatian, Akitas, border collie, and jack russel) I love the Lower Allen dog park and would gladly take any dogs there with permission! My previous rescue pit had an abusive past which sadly caused some behavioral issues. Due to that I am more than comfortable watching any dogs that may be a little rough around the edges. I have no problem giving any daily medication needed. I’m just a fun loving dog owner who would love to give your dog wonderful care and attention! I am a stay at home mom so my days are pretty open. I also have access to flexible free child care through grandparents so I don’t have to have my child with me during any dog visits or stays. This allows me to be able to work with your needs! I’m available for caring overnight in your home where your pup is most comfortable! Lots of attention and if they’re allowed in the bed or on the couch they’ll be right there next to me. I am not currently available to be hosting animals at my own home.

About: I have a wide variety of experience with all sorts of animals. I’ve had large and small dogs, cats, rodents, amphibians, and lizards, I even had a pot belly pig, sheep & duck as a child. I also volunteered at a local vet when I was a teenager and gained a lot of hands on experience caring for many types of animals! Currently I’m a stay at home mom, this allows me to spend a lot of one on one time with your pet. Your fur baby will be well cared for and interacted with while they’re here or while I’m there! I have 3 kids. Ages 16, 17 & 21.(Please note that Rover doesn’t consider my children’s ages to count towards, “children being present in our home.” However, I think this information should be available to those who choose to put their pets in my care. I have a fenced in yard with plenty of space for your fur baby to run! I also have separate family room in my house where our dogs sleep at night, and that is where I would put crates if they need to be crated at any time. About: When not traveling on business trips, I work from my home office, so your dog will receive 24/7 care! I’ve had dogs my entire life and my first job as a tween was pet sitting for neighbors. My current rescue dogs are Jake; a senior Coonhound mix adopted in Tennessee and Kiba, an adult Husky-Great Pyrenees mix adopted locally and is a recovering escape artist. As a former paramedic, I have the skills to administer medications and medical care, as well as to deal with any emergencies. My large backyard is fenced and has a six-foot privacy screen! Our dogs have known that I treat them well, but that I am no “pushover”. In our house, I’m the “General”! I only give a command one time. When Jake or Kiba see the stern look and folded arms, they know to obey the command. I’ve also had a cat, fish, frogs, a turtle, a rabbit, Guinea pigs and even chameleons! I’m Mags (Rover requires me to use my legal name) and I love all animals I have been passionate about dogs ever since I was a child but because experienced working with dogs and cats (and some bunnies) while working for the Humane Society of Memphis and Shelby County. I was a veterinarian assistant for one year and then became an adoptions Manager for three years. This was the most fulfilling experience of my adult life, being able to help animals and the community daily. I recently lost my closest companion, Xander, about a month ago. He was 13 years old and I had him since he walked into the humane society at two months old. Through him I gained even more experience with aging dogs, medical care and many behavioral changes as he aged. While using positive reinforcement training we navigated 6 military moves, life adaptions to aging and the introduction of two kittens. I will take all this experience and use it to provide the same amount of love an attention for you furry family members as I did for Xander. I am currently employed part time and have many days free as well as can stay over night or board animals in my home. I have a very flexible schedule and am happy to work with any client’s schedule as needed. I currently only have two cats in my home, so I’m able to provide boarding for cat friendly animals. I have a fenced in back yard and am usually not gone from the house for more than four hours. Our dogs are completely happy with no problems while they were visiting Heather and Family. Heather is great at communication and gets back to you right away. We asked for pictures and Heather sent lots of pictures to comfort us knowing our girls were safe and well loved.”

“Sam is such a wonderful dog lover and knew exactly what our dog Dublin is like and how to introduce him to other dogs. We didn't know this prior the drop off, but she had a few other dogs in different sizes, including her own dog, so it was wonderful for Dublin to be able to play with them and socialize. Her house has a huge fenced yard, surrounded by a woody area, which I think was perfect for Dublin. This is just a one-time boarding opportunity, as we were traveling through the area, but we'd certainly board our dog with ther again if we could.”
“Our English shepherd, Arthur returned home from overnight stay (2 nights) at Jack and Carrie's, happy, good disposition, active & normal appetite. We know he loves their generous fenced in yard & their dog. It is obvious he was content with his caregiving at their home. Arthur & parents say " Thank you Jack and Carrie! We will call on you again for care.". Highly recommend.”
