“Mira absolutely loved her stay with them. They were very welcoming and answered any questions that we had. They provided steady updates/pictures and were understanding of the fact that she’s a puppy and still learning. We would 100% recommend them to anyone!”

“Five stars all around, amazing sitters, super responsive and shared lots of pictures which we absolutely loved seeing. They were above and beyond communicative and amazing and look forward to having our pup stay with them again!”

“Had a great experience with Kenya and Simone, and it was clear that our dog was much more relaxed than in a traditional kennel. I appreciated Kenya meeting with us beforehand, since it was my first time using Rover. And great to receive pics of activities during the stay--including watching the World Cup together. :) Very prompt communication, both before and during the stay. Would definitely book with them again!”

“I think I found our go-to dog sitter! My lab Winnie was in great hands with Ryan while I was traveling for work. I received frequent photo updates and could tell my pup really made herself at home. I love how Ryan has kids, lives near a park and works from home - a great combo for peace of mind. Ryan is the first person I'll 'call' next time I need dog care. :)”
“Jessica and her family were amazing sitters for our Labrador "Bella!" We couldn't have asked for a nicer or kinder family to entrust our fury family member. Bella loved her time with Jessica leaving my wife and I comforted to know she was in good care! Highly recommend Jessica for any pet sitting services. She took the time to periodically send videos and photos during Bella's stay. This further secured our trust that Bella was in good hands and allowed my wife and I to enjoy our vacation. We will definitely use Jessica again!”

“Jodi and Bruce treated our fur baby like one of the family, exactly what we were hoping for in finding a home away from home for her. She looks forward to a return stay, and we'll be confident leaving her in their care.”

“Our lab loved Kevin & we will definitely book with him again. Our dog is an energetic rescue & doesn't like to be alone. Kevin was able to accommodate & was very attentive; he played with him outside in his yard, took him to the dog park & took him along in the car. Plus all the items I took were returned clean & organized!”

“Katie was awesome! We visited State College to attend a PSU game after Thanksgiving break and were fortunate to find Katie on Rover to care for our Golden Retriever during our stay. Katie was very thorough in preparing for Charlie’s visit and communicated with us regularly before and during his stay. It was obvious that Katie and her family enjoy caring for dogs and Charlie appears to have had a great time! Thank you, Katie!”

About: I will give your dog my full attention as well as my children. We all love animals. My children are super gentle and loving and love to take walks so finding time to take your dog for a walk will be no problem! I am home all day so your dog will get lots of attention! I am choosing to do this because the kids want a dog but I am not fully committed to buying one of our own quite yet, so dog sitting will please everyone. I have a huge yard with the option of fenced in and unfenced areas. We have very few neighbors so if your pup is a barker it will be not a problem. Lots of space to take dogs for walks without running into other people or animals.
“I always have trouble finding the right fit for my high energy huskies when we travel, but Michelle and her place was perfect! Instantly felt comfortable and knew they would be well taken care of. They were both so warn out, they have done nothing but sleep since I picked them up almost 24 hours ago. Definitely recommend!”

“Juliane was super sweet ! I felt 100% comfortable leaving my dog with her for the few nights I needed to. I asked to keep me updated with pictures and she did just that! Would 100% recommend and would book again if needed”

“Very nice and treated my dog great. She was great with following instruction of my dogs daily routine and updated me throughout the day with photos and how my dog was doing. She has a fenced in yard which was great!!”

About: I say I have 10 years of pet care experience just based off of having my own dog and dog sitting other dogs. I have worked in an animal shelter in the past as well. I also had rescued a pitbull boxer who we had recently had to put down. I also have a 10 month old lab puppy, and 2 cats! I would love to have her to have someone to play with at home every once in a while. I will only be working possibly 15 to 20 hours a week at my other job. Possibly less if I have more clients with pets to watch. So I’m gonna try to keep my hours per day that I work to five hours so then I can try to be at home with the dogs a lot more. I would like to try to be outside playing or going on walks. Also cleaning up after the dog outside and or if they have an accident in the house.
About: I have 10 years experience with every type of animal from puppies, cats to horses reptiles and birds. I also have experience with dog training. I currently work full time but my job is very flexible with breaks, so your furry friend will get all of the attention that they require! I believe in utilizing all of the space available to provide the most optimal experience for the pet and for the family returning back home
“Alexis was fantastic. I booked her last minute and she did an amazing job. Sadie had an upset stomach when I dropped her off and Alexis did a great job with Sadie's meds and looking after her. She was feeling much better when she got home. Would definitely book again.”

About: I have cared for many different types of animals since I was a child. Dogs, cats, bunnies, rats and hamsters. Fostered and lived with many dogs. I currently have dogs and cats. They are the joy of my life especially since the kids (and grand dogs) have grown and moved. Couldn’t imagine life without them. I have two dogs and 2 cats to keep the fur guests company. Lots of play time in the fenced back yard. And snuggles on the couch.

Cat caregivers near you - Mapleton Depot

About: I’ve had cats my entire life and consider myself a proud cat mom! My cats, Pip and Felix, are spoiled and well loved. I traveled the country with them and harness trained them for the trip. I take their care seriously and will ensure I treat your cats the same! No instruction is too detailed and happy to meet any cat’s needs. I have experience working with clients ranging from required medication 5x a day with a strict routine to easy, daily feeding.
About: Hi! I’m a pet sitter with a soft spot for all creatures—furry, scaly, or spidery. I’ve cared for dogs, cats, geckos, bearded dragons, fish, guinea pigs, bunnies, chickens, and tarantulas, and I know how to handle both the basics and the more unique needs. Tattoos and piercings aside, I’m reliable, responsible, and genuinely love animals. I’m here to make sure your pets feel safe, seen, and well cared for while you’re away—whether that means a walk, tank check, or just some love and attention. I’m a local college student home for summer break so I am flexible and free to meet your needs, from long-term to daily check-ins to hours of play! I am very specific with my interaction with your pets— any instructions, no matter how weird or detailed, I will follow to ensure great care for your pet.
About: I’ve been a dog owner my entire life and have had experience owning other pets such as geckos, cats, and snakes. I’ve been a pet sitter for a little over two years. My true passion for pet sitting comes from my desire to be accompanied by them, dogs specifically. I work with dogs of all ages, temperaments, and personalities. Dogs of all backgrounds tend to gravitate towards me and I have never had any negative interactions. While studying for my undergrad, I was actually in charge of all the live animal specimens present on the University grounds. Feeding, exercise, and handling/care were done daily, which can explain my comfortability and familiarity with pet care. I currently am home as I finish my masters degree online so my daily schedule is fairly free. I workout and do part-time contract work when I am not doing schoolwork. I’m extremely flexible and will be willing to meet your needs as best as possible. Simply put, I treat the pets like they are my own. I ensure they are met with sufficient attention, exercise, nutrition, and safety while under my supervision. Minimizing stress is my biggest concern (my dog has separation anxiety so I know how it can be). I’ve found it helpful in the past to use my own dog as a bridge between myself and the client’s pet, as his presence tends to build confidence and reassurance.

Perfect for high energy dogs - Mapleton Depot
“Watson had a great experience with Mike and his crew. I was looking for a sitter to keep watch of Watson for an afternoon while I explored the mountain bike trails at Raystown lake. Mike lives super super close to the trailhead so that was very convenient. He took great care of Watson giving him multiple walks and kept me informed with regular updates. Will definitely be reaching out to Mike next time I am back to the area.”

“Tess and Curt have been amazing to work with. As a travel nurse with an anxious pup, they have put us both at ease by being consistent and supportive. They always vet other dogs they are working with to make sure they will get along and be safe. I appreciate their diligence.”

“So thankful to find Ryan and Michelle. They are super nice and we’re so kind to care for our standard poodle for a day while we had to rent a U-Haul and pick up some things at my mother’s house three hours away. It was great to know we left him in good hands! We hope they will take Kobi again!”

“I cant say enough about Simone & Kenya. We were in a bind and they were able to help us with very short notice. They sent pictures throughout the day which gave us great comfort that our puppy was being well cared for. He was so very happy when we picked him up. I know he would like to visit again.”

“My dog has pretty bad separation anxiety, but Katie’s house is the only sitter house he’s excited to visit! He can’t wait to be there. I would book with her again in a heartbeat.”

“Rocky had a great time with Mariah! Rocky was cared for like he was in his own home! Mariah is great to have when we are unable to be at home with Rocky! Thank you for all of your help and care!”

“Denika was a wonderful dog sitter! Very communicative with photos, videos and texts! She was very helpful with time flexibility since our travel times were estimated for our child’s move in day at Penn St. We will be scheduling her help again when we are back in town!!”

About: With 20 years of dog sitting experience, I have a lifelong passion for caring for dogs of all ages. I started dog sitting when I was 14 and have since provided overnight and drop-in services. Having grown up with dogs, I've helped train four puppies and nannied for a family with a senior dog for four years. My experience includes administering medication and catering to the unique needs of both puppies and senior dogs and everything in between. I am dedicated to offering reliable, compassionate, and professional care for your furry friends. I have 2 boys under the age of 5 so we have a louder, high energy house! I work remotely part-time, which gives me plenty of time and flexibility each day to provide dedicated care, attention, and companionship for your furry friend. When caring for pets, I prioritize safety and well-being. Dogs are always taken out on a leash to ensure their safety. I assume all dogs are not friendly unless told otherwise, ensuring a cautious and respectful approach to each new dog. I am knowledgeable about foods that are toxic to dogs and take great care to prevent them from consuming anything harmful. I believe strongly in positive reinforcement, rewarding good behavior rather than punishing the bad, to foster a trusting and happy relationship with the dogs I care for.
“I left my French Bulldog Bonnie with Juliane for the first time and we had a fantastic experience. Bonnie seemed to have a great time playing with her dog. Juliane was a great communicator giving us updates, and I felt like Bonnie was getting safely looked after. I would highly recommend Juliane for daycare!”

“Michelle and her husband were friendly, easy to communicate with, and provided our pups with an enjoyable day. They are high-energy dogs, but must have been pretty worn out from all the playtime they got since they went right to sleep in the car when we picked them up.”

About: As a dog owner, I understand the patience and consistency some dogs need. I'm comfortable caring for dogs with different personalities and will always follow their routine to help them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I work part-time with flexible hours, primarily in the evenings, which gives me plenty of availability during the day for walks, drop-in visits, and quality time with your pets. I can also accommodate many evening and weekend care requests. Your pet's safety and comfort come first. I'll follow your care instructions, stick to their routine, and provide a safe and caring environment so your furry friend are secure and happy!

About: I have taken care of a large variety of dogs since I was in middle school, outside of the 3 I have grown up with. I have always been reliable to feed, walk, play and give potty breaks according to each dog’s needs. I’ve worked with dogs ranging from 5 lbs to 150 lbs, and dogs of all ages. I work part time so I have plenty of time to care for your animals! I mainly work in the afternoons, but my house always has someone available for constant socializing. Whenever I am not at work, I am at home, and will have plenty of quality time to give your pet. :) I love to go on long walks, and have friends who like to join so your animal will be thoroughly socialized. I ensure your dog is never bored with plenty of play time and attention. I am happy to take your pet to a nearby dog park as well, if that is something you are comfortable with.

About: I grew up taking care of pets for neighbors and family, and have had many of my own. At home now, I have our dog Kona and a bearded dragon named Norbert, plus two kids. I'm comfortable with caring for all dogs and cats of all sizes and ages. I'd love to send you photos and updates if you would like so you know how things are going while you are away. I can't wait to meet your furry friend! I'm home most of the day, so your pet won't be left alone for long stretches. I absolutely love taking walks so we will be doing plenty of those. If your pet needs a specific feeding or potty schedule, just let me know and I'll stick to it. Our yard isn't fenced, so your dog will go out on leash for walks and potty breaks several times a day. My Dog is super friendly and always up for a new friend. If your pup prefers quiet time or needs a crate to decompress, I can absolutely make that happen as well. I will go over your dogs preferences when I get a chance to talk with you. I'm more than happy to make accommodations to fit your pets needs.

About: I’m a reliable and caring pet sitter with hands-on experience looking after a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, and small pets. I understand that every pet has unique needs and personalities, so I take the time to follow instructions carefully and build trust with both pets and owners. My goal is to ensure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for at all times. About: Hi! I’m a college student at Penn state university with 4–5 years of experience caring for pets. Friends and family have trusted me to feed, bathe, walk, and love their animals like my own. I’m responsible, attentive, and genuinely enjoy spending time with all kinds of pets. Thank you for considering me to care for your amazing companion! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, especially while I’m home for the summer and have a more open schedule. I plan my days around my availability (11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays) and make sure I have enough time to give each pet the attention, care, and playtime they need. Whether it's feeding, grooming, or just keeping a cat company, I treat it like a priority not a side task. I also stay flexible so I can adjust to each pet’s unique routine and needs. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize creating a calm and familiar environment by following the pet’s routine as closely as possible. I pay close attention to body language and other cues to understand how the pet is feeling, and I give them the space or affection they need based on their comfort level. I know that trust takes time, especially with animals, and I’m always patient, gentle, and respectful of their boundaries. My goal is to make each pet feel safe, seen, and cared for while their family is away.

About: I’ve always had family animals that I’ve adored and that got my foot into working in rescue! I’ve work with extra small to extra large dogs, a lot of cats and some other species. I feel very comfortable with behavioral differences in different animals. I’ve worked along side very talented vets and techs that have taught me a lot about medical care, as well. I work part time at home with a dog and two cats. I take physical and mental enrichment very seriously for all animals. Any animal I’m caring for comes first everyday. A tired dog is a happy dog. I have friendly animals at home, a large crate if needed and a separate room set up for shy animals to warm up to the other animals. We have a large (not fenced) yard but we take many long walks a day to keep up with physical needs!

About: I’ve been a life time animal lover! I grew up with two dogs, a German Shepherd and a Westie. I currently live on a 300 acre farm with 9 cats. We have a guest house where I will board your pet, so no need to worry about any interaction with my current pets. I can offer a relaxing atmosphere and all day care on weekends along with morning and afternoon care on week days. I can also board or do drop-in visits for fish, hamsters, or horses. Your dog will love a relaxing mountain retreat! Your cat can enjoy a quiet vacation! I work full time as a teacher. I can board your pet all weekends or in the afternoons. I can take crate trained dogs anytime during the week but could only provide potty breaks every 6-8 hours. I am available for dog walks or drop-in visits any day in the afternoon or evening in the Chambersburg, Gettysburg, and Hagerstown areas. Your pet would live only with me in a private guest house. We have 300 acres to go for walks or chase balls! My husband and 9 cats live in the main house. Our cats don’t mind other animals but I can keep your pet away from the cats if you prefer. As a 15 year high school teacher, I am very trustworthy, authentic, and kind. I admit to being a bit of a “crazy animal person” as I try to pet every animal I see!
