About: Dogs have always held a special place in my heart. I grew up with three wonderful dogs throughout my childhood, each teaching me something different about love, patience, and companionship. One of them was even a future seeing-eye dog. Although we only had him for about a year before he went on to begin his important work, it was incredibly rewarding to be part of his journey and to help prepare him for the life-changing role he would have. When my husband and I bought our first home, one of the very first things we did was adopt the sweetest girl named Kora. She filled our home with joy, laughter, muddy paw prints, and unconditional love for ten unforgettable years. Saying goodbye to her was one of the hardest things we've ever done, but I wouldn't trade a single moment we had together. Because of these experiences, I know that dogs aren't "just pets"—they're family. I worked for doggy daycares and boarding facilities for 3.5 years, ensuring the safety, happiness, and health of a wide variety of dog breeds and ages. I have administered medications, completed dog handling courses, and grooming training as well. This led me to groom professionally full-time for 2 years after college. I now prefer to do at-home bathing sessions and spend more time with pets one-on-one in a homey environment. In addition to dogs, I have taken care of fish, cats, amphibians, lizards, and birds. I have a 9 year old bunny of my own, so I am well-versed in rabbit care. Throughout high school, I volunteered at PetSmart taking care of the cats and at Diane's Pet Supplies, too, walking their dogs. About: I have raised pets for years and nursed puppies and kittens of all ages. I personally have 1 dog and 4 cats currently. I’ve trained my own dogs to be well mannered and good tempered while making sure they have plenty of room for fun. I have experience with providing walks, meals, and medications to puppies and senior dogs Currently a half-day Villanova senior, so I am around most afternoons and evenings, as well as weekends. After 2pm is ideal, with the exception of Wednesday nights I have a quiet, pet-safe apartment (no access to candles, flowers, sharp objects). I would be happy to set up a crate, food and water bowls, or pet beds.
