“We never had Scout stay in someone’s home before. Vivian’s reviews were outstanding, so we decided to give it a try. She asked us to come over for a visit before boarding. That visit calmed all our worries. Vivian and her family were so attentive to Scout and it was apparent that they were very loving and knowledgeable. When we dropped him off for his “vacation” she quickly escorted him to yard to allow him to get acclimated, while her husband helped us with Scout’s belongings. During the vacation, we received pictures two or three times a day. It was apparent that he was enjoying his stay. I am sure he especially enjoyed the walks and the trips in the car. When we have picked him up from boarding kennels before, he would not leave our side. When we picked him up from Vivian’s, he spent time jumping all over us and then bounced back and forth between her family and our family. It was obvious how much he loved them. We will definitely be scheduling more vacations with Vivian in the future. She and her family have given us peace of mind that we never had with anyone else taking care of Scout. About: Being around dogs has been the foundation of my life since the age of 3. From caring for my own pets, helping our neighbor who bred collies, and caring for dogs while also caring for my patients at work as a home health occupational therapist, I feel like every pet is part of my family. My heart is full around any four legged friend and I strive to care for them, show them the deepest love, and teach them as I do my own children. It’s in my blood! I currently work as a home health OT with a flexible schedule during the day. I also have windows of time during the evenings and weekends to care for any pet. About: I have experience working with very energetic to slower more relaxed dogs/cats. I have an older beagle as well as a younger pit/lab mix at home. Starting in high school I would sit for family and friends, then in 2022 started working for Rover. I have experience giving medication and daily supplements as well as making sure your dog/cat gets plenty of playtime and attention. Adults who love and understand the needs of little fur babies. We would love to get to know your special one too. Please make sure you add all of the info for the vet you use. All dogs will need to be current on vaccines and flea and tick care. Please keep in mind when you pay for one day it covers you for 24 hrs. So if you bring your baby at 6 a.m. you will be covered till 6 a.m. the following day. Any hours after that is $6.00 an hour. If you book for more than a weekend, I can be flexible (1 to 2 hrs) due to flight delays, etc. Thank you! I'm currently not working outside home so no matter what your little ones will have someone here at all times. I feed everyone seperately and we walk when weather permits. We have potty pads available for comfort in between outings. I allow access to my whole home and will enjoy a walk once a day or more weather permitting. My shepherd was very elderly (about 14) & required a lot of extra love, care & attention also. So I am also compassionate about animals that need some extra loving. *I offer very basic kitty care. I cannot host cats in my home due to the prey drive of my husky, sometimes she’s ok with them, other times not. *I’ll do feedings for lizards as I have had a few bearded dragons myself as well so I’m knowledgeable here also. (But under no circumstances ask me to care for your snake, or your spider!) ***I offer potty breaks, walks, playtime, feed & water breaks, treat time, medication administration ALL in my standard fee. Anything else, just ask! I’m very flexible & willing to work out most things if we can come to an agreement suitable for both sides. Fast forward and I currently have a Pittbull, Husky/Shepard Mix, 4 cats, and two Crested Geeckos. I am experienced with all life stages from the elderly to the potty training stage. I am comfortable administering any medication as well as taking long walks or playing to wear down the youngest. I work from home as a supervisor so I have the ability to come and go as I please. My son is engaged in some activities which may be the only reason for a turn down of service but my availability is pretty open. All of my animals in my home are well versed with this of the other kind. All of my animals are very dog/people friendly. We also have 4 cats so The dogs are well rounded and the cats are as well. If need be I do have the ability to separate any of them.
