My husband and I wanted to go away for Valentine's day weekend to get some alone time and we have never been away from our Sheldon, who is a clumsy, gentle giant and lovable doberman pinscher puppy (1yr and 2months and 80lbs lol). My husband was thinking of boarding him at a kennel and I could not stand the thought of him being locked up in a cold pen like a wild caged animal. Honest to goodness (Rover did not pay me) I told my husband about this commercial I saw about people who offer dog services- Rover.com. My husband was skeptical and well, I thought it would be better than a cold pen, where he would pee and poop in his area and let out for so long per day. The site was easy to use and i knew what type of person i was looking for. I wanted my baby to be in a home where he would be loved as their own, warm, and in constant contact with humans (if you dont know anything about Dobermans, they are called velcro dogs because they are attached at your hip and have to be where ever you go). I looked and read Marie's profile and I just knew she was the ONE! Her family was awesome, they loved Sheldon and she gave us frequent updates of their adventures, runs, and how he he'd wind down at night and even included lots of pictures! We could tell he was having the time of his life! Marie and her family put our minds at ease knowing we left him in good hands. We could not be more grateful to have found them. Sheldon came home with a second family. We highly, HIGHLY recommend them! If they are in your area, she is the highest qualified dog sitter and we will be using her again in the future for Sheldon.”

Even though the site only let me book Axie for care, Shilesky quickly agreed to look after Tic Tac's food & water as well. As he was a stray as a kitten, my Axie can be very shy and takes a while to warm up to people, but Shilesky was so patient and loving with him, getting him to warm up to her by the end. About: Had pets my whole life. I walk all the time and know where to take them and have an SUV with enough room to fit them in. Have 2 children who adore all animals. I have a full time job, Tuesday through Saturday, but I’m usually home around 2-4 pm. I’m available every evening and can stop to let them out during the day because of my job flexibility. I love both ends of the spectrum. I love being active and taking dogs for walk/runs. I also love relaxing and cuddling with them and getting to know what their preferences. Will follow all strict diet rules and keep a very clean house to avoid unwanted eating restrictions.
“Jennifer was absolutely wonderful. She was very quick to respond to my inquiry, and very diligent about responding to any questions. My cat recently returned from a vet visit with several daily medications which he needed while I was out of town, and Jennifer was able to administer an oral pill, a crushed pill, and a liquid medication with an oral syringe with no problem. My cat was staying with my mom (she's unable to administer his meds) and she immediately called me after Jennifer's first visit absolutely beaming with how great she was with my cat, how skilled she was at administering his meds, and what a wonderful friendly person she was in general. It's scary to leave your pets in someone else's hands, but I would absolutely trust Jennifer for any future needs and will be recommending her to all nearby friends and family members for any pet sitting needs. She has 6 cats of her own, so knows her stuff. Even when my cat hid under the bed on her last visit, she managed to coax him out and do everything. She was very communicative the entire time. (In case you can't tell, I simply can't say enough positive things about Jennifer because I'm so incredibly grateful for how well she took care of my little guy when I was out of town. It was such a relief to know he was not just in good hands, but genuinely caring hands). Thank you Jennifer!”

About: We’re happy to follow any specific instructions you have for caring for your pets while they’re with us. If your animals are staying in our home, they’ll have access to a spacious yard where dogs can play and run freely. We also have a small dog and a cat who are well-socialized and have done well with other animals during previous stays. However, if any pets need to be separated for comfort or safety, our home is set up to accommodate that easily and without stress. Our main services include boards and drop ins. We also offer house sitting services; however, please note that we are not available for overnight stays at this time. We have a large, open yard where dogs can play and get plenty of exercise, as well as a designated playpen area in our basement for indoor fun and safety. If we’re caring for your pets in your home, we’re happy to follow any specific guidelines or routines you provide to ensure they feel safe and comfortable.

About: I have my own dog who is very energetic. I understand how to watch and care for a dog with a lot of energy and what they need I’m currently working part-time so I have a lot of extra time to care for dogs and any other animals and anything else that is needed. My backyard has a Fence and I have a dog. I have a lot of dog toys and have a perfect environment for other dogs to be happy just like mine.

About: As an experienced dog foster, I have cared for more than 25 dogs of all ages, from newborn puppies to senior dogs, representing a wide variety of breeds and sizes. In addition, I was the proud owner of four dogs who each lived long, happy lives and reached their senior years before crossing the Rainbow Bridge. These experiences have given me a deep appreciation for the important role pets play as beloved members of the family. As a school teacher, I enjoy a very flexible schedule during the summer months and would love the opportunity to support families who need a safe, loving temporary home for their four-legged companions. Whether your pet needs overnight care, companionship during the day, or some extra exercise and attention, I am committed to providing the same level of care and affection that I would give my own dogs. As a teacher, I am currently on summer break, so I have availability daily throughout the week for play sessions and dog walks. I am also available for multi-night lodging. When you’re here, you’re family. Any animal under my care will be treated as one of my own. But with me, you get a whole family who are all trained in caring for dogs and cats, as each member of the household has been involved with fostering pups and raising kitties. The second floor of the house is separated by a door at the top of the stairs to allow separation between feline and canine friends if needed. Daily photos and FaceTime are available. We have multiple-sized dog crates if crating is requested. Although we may be new faces to your four legged companions, we will try to keep consistency in the rules you have at your home. If they are allowed on your couch, then they will be here. Feeding schedule will be dictated by how they ate at home. Walks will be frequent and there is a huge box of dog toys and cat toys to keep them entertained.

About: I know just how difficult it can be to be away and to find someone trustworthy to care for your beloved pets; especially those with medical and unique needs. About: Growing up I was the main caretaker of our family dog, and cats. I developed a love and passion for helping animals. Nothing makes me happier than seeing my own, and my rover pets enjoying their life. My family, and friends rely on me to pet sit, walk, board, and provide basic care when they cannot. About: I have been taking care of pets since I was 10 years old. I have worked and help care for dogs, cats, and birds! I am willing to help with every animal out there as well! I am available to help with medication and treatments if needed! I work full time in Camp Hill, PA Monday Thru Friday 8a-430p. So If needed I would stop by your house before and then directly after- obviously unless I’m staying there for the night, then I’ll get to care for your pet all night! I know of many animal(dog) parks in the area near my house, but love to take animals on walks if applicable! I am also willing to help bathe them even if that means taking them to a animal bath at pet store and such! Since I work a set schedule Monday through Friday, food and potty breaks will be at regular times and consistent times throughout the week. And in certain circumstances, I will be able to stop by during my work shift if need be. About: Hello! Our names are Rachel and Justin and we are a husband and wife duo! I work from home and my husband is very flexible with his working hours if need be. We are dog lovers and firm believers that animals are family and deserve to be treated that way. Our family consists of our 2 daughters who are age 12 and 14, a 7 year old labradoodle who is a master snuggler and a 13 year old cat who is an aspiring lion! We have a spacious house with an underground fence. If your dog is not trained on an underground fence, we would take them out on a long leash or we have a chain that is anchored into the ground. We are also an adventurous bunch. We love to go for hikes and walks with our dog and let her splash in a creek near our home. Our pets are our kids! They sleep in our bed every night, snuggle with us on our big couch for movies and more! Our dog goes everywhere with us including Rita’s or Dairy Queen for a sweet treat! Our dog is quite the social butterfly and loves to play with new friends! I work from home so I am always here with the dogs. My husband has some flexibility in his schedule to assist if needed. We usually take our dog on a walk in the morning, at my lunch break. and in the evening. Weekends are our adventure time during the summer and fall months. We like to find new trails to walk and new things to see close to our home. Pets that we are sitting are treated just like our own. We have treats of all different sizes and everything that they would need here for their stay minus their food. Whatever we do with our dog will be done with the dogs that we have, including our 8pm dentastix routine!

“I have used Rover for every trip we've taken over 2 years and I am confident my Cardigan Welsh Corgi Arthur has never received better care than the care he received from Betsy and Ron. I think they might take better care of him than we do at home! My only disappointment is that I didn't immediately secure dates for another upcoming trip and they are not available. I don't think you can find someone better to take care of your pet! We got daily updates and photos that reassured us that Arthur was in great hands- he was smiling in many of the photo updates!”
