“Where to begin. Colleen is quite literally the cutest and sweetest person we have ever had the privilege of meeting. We are first time parents to our newly adopted tortie kitten Bootsie. She’s four and half months old and is quite the handful, she’s also very attached to mom and dad. So it goes without saying we were a little nervous about leaving her side. Colleen came in and just blew us away with how patient and courteous she was to our fur baby from the start. We knew instantly we had found the perfect person to watch over her. Currently I work part time for an Amish company and I do morning pick ups and evening drop off with Thursday me being at the job all day. With time in advance I can move stuff around if need be. About: I am a Certified vet assistant trained in animal nutrition, grooming, and care. I have worked at Sight and Sound Theaters as an Animal Caretaker, Animal Handler, and an Animal Trainer. I have had several pets of my own and love all animals. For grooming I can clip hair, brush teeth, trim nails, and check basic health of animals. I know all basic animal training and can work on a multitude of things with your pets; ranging from standard things like sit, stay, lay, to more advanced things like crawl, speak, spin and other fun tricks. In addition to cats and dogs I have worked with birds, horses, camels, rats, pigs, cows and skunks. I have a lot of experience in training, healthcare, and grooming.
About: I believe I am well suited for hands-on animal care and observation because I genuinely enjoy caring for animals and helping them feel safe and comfortable. My life experiences have taught me patience, compassion, and the importance of earning trust—qualities that allow me to connect with animals and provide the attentive, gentle care they deserve. I take pride in being dependable, observant, and willing to put in the time and effort needed to support their health and well-being. I’m home the majority of the time with an outing or two a day. The outing can last as long as 3 and a half hours. I take a half hour morning walk and can take a second walk after dinner. Your pet will be treated like family. I pay attention to their noises and motions to better understand their needs. I will walk the dog outside on their leash to relieve themself and feed them on their schedule.
