“Boarding with Ellen was outstanding. We had a family emergency that made taking our large dog with us impossible. He’s five-years old and had never been away from home - I am sure it was challenging for him. While not aggressive or disobedient, at about 120lbs he can be intimidating. Ellen was clearly very comfortable with him during our meet and greet visit and was very confident he’d be fine with her. He absolute was! She made him very at home on her beautiful farmette with her pack of critters. They all looked clean and loved. I noted her calmness with the dogs and confidence in their interaction under her watchful eye. The dogs have plenty of space to run and socialize. She made sure we gave her his “regular” food and medications, and verified other foods he would be allowed to have. She sent regular updates and photos during his stay. Each action shot was accompanied by a thoughtful narrative of the photo. We really enjoyed pictures of his quiet time, napping with the other dogs in her home was comforting. They all looked content. We needed an extra day of boarding because of the unpredictability of our travel and Ellen made it so easy. Our dog made new friends and we did too.”

About: I’ve owned dogs and cats. We do tend to spoil them. I have lots of room for them to run and play in our fenced in yard. We walk them on a leash through our nearby cemetery. I currently work part time with Amazon flex. I will always be available if I have any pet jobs as Amazon flex is very flexible. I’m available for home and pet sitting. I have a fenced in back yard and currently own 1 miniature Daschund female 2 years old to help keep your furry friends playing or if needed I can use a crate with permission only.

About: I grew up with a cat as part of the household. I've taken care of cats since I was 12. I have two cats that I rescued from my local shelter, they were the most difficult to place because of prior abuse before coming to the shelter. We felt very secure leaving our Shitzu for the day, Chewie blended well with their family, and I felt very comfortable. About: I've been taking care of my own animals my whole life. Neighbors, friends, and family started hiring me for pet care when I was still in high school. I love the stark difference in pet personalities and learning how each of them likes to be cared for. Examples of my past & present clientele: - A family with 7 chihuahuas of varying ages and levels of crazy - A brand new hyperactive Bernedoodle puppy whom I still care for regularly (she's 4 now!) - A sweet lab who liked long, slow walks and bananas - A moody cat who could not care less about me (I have slowly earned the blessing of giving head pats to them now) - A tortoise who inspires me to slow down and eat more greens *my home is a safe space for people and pets from all walks of life* I am currently working from home, so I have plenty of time to care for and play with your pet(s)! I love being and walking outside and having an animal companion to join me is always a pleasure. We have a large back porch and yard for sniffing around. If your pet requires extra exercise, we have a quiet neighborhood to walk around in. We have a dog bed in almost every room, space for you to bring a crate, or an area that can be closed off overnight if necessary or requested. There are few places in the house that the dogs don't have access to out of an abundance of safety. Otherwise, they are welcome to make themselves at home! If I care for an animal in your home, I will let you and your pet take the lead!

We had a very busy and hectic schedule during our visit with family up in the York/Hanover area, Chelsea worked with us each day on our drop off and pick up times which allowed us to spend time with our grandkids without being rushed or stressed about our furbaby Rascal. We were updated with text and pictures from Chelsea each day she had Rascal. One of our concerns was Rascal doesn't like being crated and Chelsea let us up front she doesn't crate dogs. She allows them to be on her furniture and has dog beds for them to lay on as well. She takes them out for walks and potty breaks and Rascal seems extremely happy when he was with Chelsea and her family. If we lived in the area we would use Chelsea again and again. We are very grateful to have found Chelsea for our furbaby Rascal, she was so good to him. We highly recommend you choosing Chelsea to watch your furbaby.”

About: I own 2 huskies. I've volunteered with a dog rescue for 10 years fostering all types of dogs... 50 of them in fact. My husband and I have firefighter/EMT schedules so we're often home during the day, and handle emergencies well. We have an irregular schedule in my house. You will have to check my calendar for availability. We are often home during the week and daytime. My care for my dogs and foster dogs depend on the dog. My female dog is a princess who sleeps on the couch, but my male needs to be kenneled to keep out of trouble. We have a dog door to allow our dogs freedom to go in and out as they please.
About: I have been a pet owner and caregiver my whole life. While I am a people person, I have always related the most to animals. I see them as family and friends, This means that daily routines such as feeding/watering, bathing, walking, playing, and administering medicine are not done as routines. About: Since I was 5 I had been around pets and taking care of them. I have had dogs, cats, fishes and parrot. They feel safe with me I am completely free and available for the whole month of August any day, any time. For September, my availability will depend on the day as my school schedule starts, but I will still have open availability on many days and can update my calendar weekly. I stop directly after work (6 pm is quitting time) back at your house, then return to spend the night after feeding my own dog. I provide routine meal times, potty breaks, litter clean-up, medications as needed, treats as positive reinforcement, play time, cuddles, walks and other exercise, and if your pets are used to sleeping in your bed, they are welcome to do the same with me! I do all of this in your home so your best bud doesn't have to stress about too many changes while they are missing you. While Rover's pricing is set up on a per dog fee schedule, I cap charges at $80 per night and $40 per drop in or walk, regardless of the number of pets in your household. In the Rover app, I must modify your booking to be able to do that. I work full-time 9:30am -6pm, Monday -Friday in York, Pa, so I limit my service area during the week to areas between York and New Oxford. I can serve a larger area such as Gettysburg and Dillsburg on weekends. I adhere carefully to client directions about medication, supervision, feeding, and exercise. I want dogs to keep their usual routine as much as possible, and owners to rest assured their treasured pets are cared for as they would. I am a background -checked government employee that prides myself on being dependable and trustworthy. I discuss my scheduling limitations with owners to ensure they are getting a sitter who is the best fit for their pets.

I’m Mags (Rover requires me to use my legal name) and I love all animals I have been passionate about dogs ever since I was a child but because experienced working with dogs and cats (and some bunnies) while working for the Humane Society of Memphis and Shelby County. I was a veterinarian assistant for one year and then became an adoptions Manager for three years. This was the most fulfilling experience of my adult life, being able to help animals and the community daily. I recently lost my closest companion, Xander, about a month ago. He was 13 years old and I had him since he walked into the humane society at two months old. Through him I gained even more experience with aging dogs, medical care and many behavioral changes as he aged. While using positive reinforcement training we navigated 6 military moves, life adaptions to aging and the introduction of two kittens. I will take all this experience and use it to provide the same amount of love an attention for you furry family members as I did for Xander. I am currently employed part time and have many days free as well as can stay over night or board animals in my home. I have a very flexible schedule and am happy to work with any client’s schedule as needed. I currently only have two cats in my home, so I’m able to provide boarding for cat friendly animals. I have a fenced in back yard and am usually not gone from the house for more than four hours. I also am available for staying over nights at clients houses for a more comfortable experience for everyone in the family.

I am living at home with my parents now after graduation while I save up money to move out, so I am home pretty much all day so I will be able to give your pup lots of love and attention :) I will give you dog lots of love and attention while providing them with a safe and comfortable home, my home is very low key, perfect for dogs coming into a new environment, my family loves dogs just as much as me.
About: I've been an animal lover my entire life and have years of hands on experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and energy levels. I currently have a 7 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a 1.5 year old Pomsky, so I understand that every dog has their own personality and needs. I work remotely from home, which allows me to provide plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. I live in a home with my girlfriend, her two children, and our two friendly dogs who enjoy meeting new furry friends. Whether your pet needs a walk, a drop in visit, or a comfortable place to stay while you're away, they'll be treated like a member of our family. I'll also keep you updated with messages and photos so you always know your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for. I have a job where I work from home so am home most of the day to take care of all of the puppy needs! :) We have 2 dogs to keep your puppy company. We have an unfenced yard that we can take your dog out on a leash as often as needed for potty breaks. We also have a couple kids who love dogs and would love to have more puppies to play with.
About: Hi! I live in a big home with lots of space for long walks and play space for your pet! I have a large fenced back yard and I have plenty of space for your furbaby at my house. While I do not have any pets currently, I have had dogs and other animals all my life (30 years). I have a lot of experience with them in many capacities. I have experience with senior dogs as well. I would love to give your pet all the attention and snuggles they need. I will take amazing care of them and keep you updated as much as you prefer throughout their stay with me! I offer photos/videos during their stay during walks or snuggle/playtime. If you have any specific requests, please let me know!! ☺️ I am working from home currently, babysitting a few kiddos. What is your pets daily routine? How do they do with new people and kids? I like to leave something on the tv for the dogs for some “white noise” when I leave the house. I leave toys around for the dogs to play with and let them roam the house as they please. I can crate your dog as needed if that’s your preference!

“Boarding with Ellen was outstanding. We had a family emergency that made taking our large dog with us impossible. He’s five-years old and had never been away from home - I am sure it was challenging for him. While not aggressive or disobedient, at about 120lbs he can be intimidating. Ellen was clearly very comfortable with him during our meet and greet visit and was very confident he’d be fine with her. He absolute was! She made him very at home on her beautiful farmette with her pack of critters. They all looked clean and loved. I noted her calmness with the dogs and confidence in their interaction under her watchful eye. The dogs have plenty of space to run and socialize. She made sure we gave her his “regular” food and medications, and verified other foods he would be allowed to have. She sent regular updates and photos during his stay. Each action shot was accompanied by a thoughtful narrative of the photo. We really enjoyed pictures of his quiet time, napping with the other dogs in her home was comforting. They all looked content. We needed an extra day of boarding because of the unpredictability of our travel and Ellen made it so easy. Our dog made new friends and we did too.”
